Using RAlt+Num0 does not retain the viewpoint alignment settings for the A-10A. Default has not been placed, as it's way too far forward and low. This requires adjustment before every flight.

Yessir! According to many here, to be a real hardcore virtual pilot, you have to click on things and power them up from a cold start every time. However, I'll bet nearly none of those anti-FC3 crowd use random system failures and every help function turned off. Or use real comm procedures and airfield arrival/departures. How many of you "full-real" crowd would truly walk through a 45 minute pre-flight each time you fly? Work through a continually slipping ETIC. Or move to a spare and start all over? Heavy aircraft would be a great candidate for FC3 level. Easy start up, and filling a huge gap. From experience, I see more people online flying the F-15, Su-27 and Su-25T than the others. This includes the more "hardcore" groups alongside the newbs.

Wrong. Both heavies and fighters have to follow them to achieve the best position within the AR envelope. Those lights are Pilot Director Lights (PDLs). They give a visual position indication during normal and restricted EMCON refueling. However, the boom operator can and will provide verbal corrections when the receiver does not follow the lights.

Gotcha. Even so, manually placing the skins into the Users Saved Games... didnt show either. Only the old way of in the CoreMods.

Using OvGME to place them into /Saved Games/DCS.<INSTALL>/Mods/aircraft/F-5E/Liveries/F-5E-3/ Isnt working. They dont show as selectable in the ME.

From the last update, they said that real life studies and work have slowed progress through the summer, but some things were accomplished. So I'd assume that the same factors are present and expect the same amount of progress. I would not expect anything on the Skyraider until after the A-4 is released. But I too cannot speak for them, just my observations from reading.

Any tricks to getting the SRS server to work? Firewall edits? I cant seem to get it working for others to connect to. I thought it was straight forward but I'm obviously missing something.

Many M/P servers still use cockpit pop up tool tips. In VR these are distracting. Can this be changed so that I can control whether or not they appear, instead of the host server? Only override for my own system?

For those arguing to refer to the checklist, start ups are not a single man operation. It's a coordinated effort between pilot AND ground crew. They are the safety outside where we cant see everything during critical operations. If the jet is not configured properly, they'd be the ones to let us know. Then last chance at the EOR provides a final look over of the jet for arming and safety. The F-5 does not have any internal indication of extended speedbrakes, so peaking outside is necessary to ensure full retraction. It's not cheating.

You're going to hear this a lot... 2.1.1 is alpha and will be eventually be sorted. Many (myself included) are having similar issues with FPS and memory use on high end systems. Nothing we can do but wait. Sorry, I wish there was a concrete fix.

In truth, the current config for spots F154 - F161 are incorrect. Those are taxiways to and from the actual NE/SW facing spots on that end of the ramp, not dedicated parking.

Without actual first hand knowledge of the Hornet, how many people will know which internal sounds are real or imagineered? Even "air distortion" is a stretch to pin an exact sound. So many variables to consider. I guess I find this specific focus kind of funny considering there are so many other things to be ensured in/on the jet for release.

I was just out at Luke last week, photographing the jets. I did not see any of the F-35s (US or Int'l) with the new uniform paint scheme. Might just be the back lit photo and nose high angle that hides the pattern on top. However, one of the latest Israeli jets was photographed at JRB Ft Worth with the new scheme, so it appears the line has made the change.

This was several years ago and sadly never came about.

Ironically, there is a F-100 model for sale at Turbo Squid. Looks a lot like he one Skate was working on years ago. I'd buy the model if I knew a coder would actually work on it properly.

I meant making it JSGME ready. Its literally only a couple of folders. But help you better understand the process.

I love your textures. Pretty awesome. I tried the 26 June version and loved the new grass textures, but seem to have picked up a stutter (using VR) that wasnt present in the 24 May version. Can you recommend a version and or settings to get the best from your work? -Jeff

Take a look at how your existing JSGME files are structured and you can easily do it yourself.

I've got that as well. Maybe a degree or two low left. How can I calibrate that? I've tried the Oculus software, but it only centers and aligns vertically. Thanks!

Does running a high res 2k monitor (via DVI plug) at the same time as the Rift, force my 980 to overwork and therefore lose any FPS inside the Rift?
