At this point, we dont even know if the Kiowa in any state, is alive.

Confirmed, the mod no longer works.

I work with coders everyday. They makes edits, then I check that those havent broken anything and approve it (or not) before it gets pushed. And yes, its on an actual flight training device. It's a simple process. I like the dev and the F1, but giving them a pass on an easy issue isn't the solution. I hope they learn from this and tighten up their process so it's not repeated. Right now people are wanting the F1 for a free trial. I've recommended that they buy it outright as it was that impressive from the start. With this FM, it's not flyable in a controlled manner. That is game/module breaking and warrants a quick fix.

It's a flight model issue, not an obscure system that would require detailed setup. Its literally go up and fly. Can't get any easier.

Internal testing prior to releasing this to ED for inclusion into the OB push, would have found this in 5 minutes. Why can't we get these devs at least make a little effort? This should have never made it out.
-
Save the anger for an eventual release. Who knows what state the FM will be in. Otherwise, dont buy it and be angry at other devs

Can the two seat B-model be coded in as well? Thanks!

Better Trees for Mariana Islands V1
ST0RM replied to Taz1004's topic in Texture/Map Mods for DCS World
Great work! Looks beautiful. How does it effect the FPS? -
This one is worth buying without a trial. They did an impressive job.

Last month, I was at Eielson AFB for some work. They were in between Flags, but many transient jets remained. One was one of the new Osan birds as you've created. However, Kunsan is also getting some. Love the work and am looking forward to these. Thanks!

Unfortunately this whole program is a part time gig. Within ED, they have larger (mil/gov) contracts that take priority over the commercial side. So DCS gets attention as it's available. Regular, but not non-stop. Same with most 3rd party devs. They either do the work in conjunction with their normal job, or after hours/weekends. It's not ideal for the consumer, as we expect the bugs to be fixed ASAP and progress. But it's just not a high paying, continuous job. They upfront the dev costs, hoping for sales to repay that.

@Mike145 Please send it my way as well. Thanks!

Getting a HUGE FPS drop when looking forward through the prop. Any fixes? Side to side is ok. Very noticeable on Syria.

correct as is Taxi, Takeoff training mission doesnt advance
ST0RM posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Tried the training mission the familiarize myself with the jet and bindings. The mission hangs on setting the altimeter. Airfield altitude is 1530 and when I set to match that and tap Space, nothing happens. It doesnt acknowledge. Just and FYI. Thanks -
Not sure how to take your comment, but during the pandemic, our team of 4 maintained a $10 million flight training device program, remotely. 16 FTDs across the US, plus Ak and Hi. So, the inability to push forward any of these drawn out projects using the COVID excuse, is rubbish.

Once again though, not all of us are on their Discord. Or Facebook. Or other social media outlets. If they cant be bothered to use this forum that was set up for them, then shut it down and remove it.

IMO, this sets a precedent. We understand that issues arose that delayed this module. But the lack of communication from PC in 8 months just adds to people's frustration and skepticism. What these devs seem to fail at grasping, this is not a need. It's a want. And if they don't respect their customers enough to at least keep communication channels flowing (not daily, but at least every couple of months), how do we trust them and invest in their work?

What's the point of trolling this thread if you're not willing to share? Obviously you have the time and correct links. Holding the mod over people's head is rather selfish, considering this is a community.

I was meaning 3D objects that placed them on the fuselage, would suffice. The rest, I realize, are all SDK things. Once again, you're speaking out of place. I'm very happy with the helicopter mod and fly it quite frequently. At no place did I criticize the mod. I was just speaking about improvements to the visuals. There are already 3D pilots that were added and some other external bits. This was just an idea.

The original(?) mod used the FC3 A-10A cockpit. It worked really well. But that was a long time ago. I wish you luck!
