Crosswind take-offs aren't too bad when you get a little experience with the Mustang. Power up gently, no higher than 45" MP, 3000 RPM. Use the rudder to keep the aircraft on the centre line and hold the stick to the direction that the wind is coming from. Practice makes perfect.

It may be that your specular map is too reflective. Try exporting without the Specular map on the material, just to see if you can see the reflection. If you can't, at least it eliminates that possibility.

Engine RPM

Depending on the size of the planes used for the rotating prop animation, it could be a very simple texture fix. Have a look in p51 textures zip file for the prop textures

Then there is something going amiss with your specific copy of DCS. It works 90% of the time for me and, when it doesn't, it's always because I've come in 'too hot'. I always aim to touch down at around 90-100 for a two point landing and aim to have a decent rate of less then 500fpm

They didn't bounce it on landing, so had no reason to comment (Yes, I was present too). If you land her right, there really is no issue at all. Personally, I land with neutral trim and 9/10 times, I do not bounce. As soon as I touch down, centre the stick.

Very happy to say that we will have the fantastic P-51 Throttle made by Logicnc with us at Duxford this weekend. For the purpose of this weekend, the throttle will not be linked to DCS, but it will give you an idea of things to come and the quality you can expect!

Well, I had a very exciting package arrive this morning - it's here! Massive thanks to Chris for a herculean effort to get something over to us for this weekend. I've just had the opportunity to unbox it and what an incredible piece of work this is! Truly fantastic, exceptional quality. I'm sure the public will get a real kick from seeing it this weekend
