  1. Oh well this is new Does the same apply to the snakeye kit?
  2. There's no reason at all that you wouldn't be able to drop GBU-12s from the same pylon as a mk.82. It's exactly the same thing as far as the pylon is concerned
  3. So I have a question now regarding the external tanks I note that you can dump the fuel from them but you can't actually drop them unless with the emergency jettison button? An interesting approach
  4. But didn't we see that nice centreline double ejector rack in one of your recent photos?
  5. This would be a fantastic resource and I applaud your dedication.
  6. Absolutely and don't worry I will be
  7. OK FINE I'M IN Now I'm excited about ALL the prospect this thing can give us. Been looking through some of the old discussion posts and it was actually more capable than I first thought. The scope for bomb armaments being greater than expected for example
  8. Wooow. Do they go away if you turn off civilian traffic? Amazing detail on this map, you don't get that in any other flight sim.
  9. I want to go to Las Vegas !!!!!!!!
  10. F-105D!!!! or F-111 if you can do one to the painstakingly realistic standards we all expect
  11. Well I eagerly await the next instalment of your explanations Zeus, I want to know everything I can know about the RDI and radar theory in general. the 100 degrees per second tidbit is a gold nugget, I'd love to have details like that for every radar (but I'd settle for the F-18C radar)
  12. And how long does it take for the antenna to sweep the entire search area while it scans the full 120 degrees elevation and azimuth?
  13. It looked like you were flying at about 50% N1 the whole time
  14. No thanks, it's a bit terrible. F-105D For me please!
  15. As above, a commendable act of kindness. Well done chobbs
  16. I think that might just be a DCS thing, fire always looks pretty unrealistic from up close in DCS I think
  17. This has been explained by Novak before, the MiG-21Bis that we have access to doesn't posess this capability, the Syrian MiG-21 in question has received a modification that allows this to happen. I speculated that it was something to do with an open circuit on the empty pylon making the release clamps inoperable but I never got confirmation one way or the other.
  18. I don't think helicopters even work in DCS without a very advanced flight model. It should be excellent based on what I've seen.
  19. <3 Cobra Thank you!
  20. Yeah definitely although the Mk IX has rudder trim I believe which will be good if we get the same trim tab settings we have for the 109 Could end up being quite pleasant. For me the 109 feels quite awkward to fly most of the time.
  21. See now this is interesting because it depends what you're doing with it. A mini cooper is tremendous for small, not necessarily blisteringly fast journeys. The main reason I love the Mustang in DCS so much is that it's fun to fly for long journeys, you can cruise, the visibility is great and once you're trimmed out you can think about carb heat and radiator position at your leisure. My main worry about the Spitfire (in general really) is that I might not enjoy it the same way. The Spitfire was designed as a short range combat aircraft, nothing more and certainly nothing less. A P-51D is like a GT car, it's powerful, fast and actually quite comfortable Spitfire might be amazing for a 20 minute flight but hell if you have to go long distances? Not everyone has the same standards when it comes to determining the "quality" of a given aeroplane.
  22. Nah, not the 102 I'm afraid. F-105 though! F-105!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Yawing into the wind sounds like broadly proper behaviour for an aerodynamically stable object doesn't it?
  24. Are you sure that the F-18C can fit two AGM-65s on the "claw" fuselage stations? I'd LOVE to see a picture of that if so I'm not doubting you here by the way you've done some very fine work!
