  1. These designations are actually quite unhelpful to the customer What's this AFM+ and AFM difference now? That wasn't in the post explaining these terms To the end user, these terms are almost totally unhelpful since there's no way to tell based on them if they flight model is accurate to the aircraft, it only tells you under what circumstance the flight model was made (PFM = ED huzzah! EFM = Probably just as good huzzah!) The only way to find out is by trawling the subform of whatever module you're interested in and considering people's opinions on the FM Which isn't a bad thing per se but the multitude of semi-hierarchical designations only confuse the issue from where I'm standing, people say things like "oh the Gazelle has an EFM so THAT's why it doesn't behave like the Huey" while in reality that's almost nothing to do with it. I think it might be worth re-examining this, I don't think it's fit for purpose.
  2. Nope BUY IT ANYWAY! 6 sidewinders MAVERICKS no question
  3. Got! Might have made a whoopsie on the tshirt size... hope we can fix that, email sent.
  4. I've done a small amount of voice work for a couple of projects before, I'm happy to lend my voice to your project. I have quite a broad range where British accents are concerned and my natural speaking voice is sort of mixed RP and Westcountry dialect.
  5. Well those are weird choices but it's F-104 for me (Ideally the Italian S model!) But... F-105
  6. You can try messaging Cobra but I think he's incredibly busy with Viggen stuff at the moment because he's not got back to me yet after the same happened to me Patience!
  7. Something ought to happen, possibly a livestream?
  8. Normal Tucano
  9. In a clear sky 15nm is probably on the longer side of realistic to spot a large plane to be honest

    SHIPS

    Yeeeeeeeeeees?
  11. I agree actually
  12. Ahhh one of the enlightened
  13. If it doesn't delay that sweet sweet F-105 then you can do whatever you like!
  14. Doesn't it still have SFM?
  15. Don't forget the C-101
  16. Excellent. I always liked the idea of slingloading artillery guns. Do you think one of those might appear in the future?
  17. Drumming up buzz, while infuriating for Cobra and the team... probably does pay off in the end With the MiG-21 from the minute Beczl posted the first post in that thread up until the minute that it was released (which is a process that took no fewer than a hundred years) The community was BAYING for an early release even as the damn thing was remade from the ground up at least once. By the end of the saga everyone had heard of it and everyone wanted it. It was probably a net positive in the end even if, at points, it seemed like at least one member of the Leatherneck team was ready to RN-28 the entire forum until there was nothing left It was a good time for everyone.... In short, I agree with Goblin, it's all part of the DCS game.
  18. I would tend to imagine that they already tried to get all that information already and found that there was just a lot more of it for the M2K so went with that instead
  19. In the case of the M2000C though the core module was still quite good on initial "release" It's hard to know where to draw that line I suppose

    Mirage F1

the C-101 does seem somewhat neglected from an outsider's perspective (I don't own the module)
  21. Yep that's a fine bird as well Anything that's *NOT* an obese block 50/52 please
  22. That would be the most interesting thing for DCS really is an early model F-16, not a silly block 50/52 UFO rammed full of heavy electronics and nonsense to turn it into a light bomber but a block 15 F-16A, something with enough toys to make it interesting to learn and fly but basic enough that it's not just an equivalent of the F-18
  23. No love for the Mirage IV? That's among my favorite aircraft. truly awe inspiring and more than a little bit terrifying in form and function

    Smokewinder

I can't get them to work either and there was another chap who posted a thread but it's buried now with no replies What procedure are you using?
  25. I have often wondered about TACAN providing both range and bearing in 3 dimensions from a transmitter mounted on an aeroplane and I never found anything that explained how it would work and it seemed to me that such a system would be very bulky and heavy using 1970's technology unless I was misunderstanding something TURNS OUT IT DOESN'T Mystery over! What's the KC-10 equipped with then? Does it have a special system or does it use normal TACAN equipment that you might find an an airbase in a special compartment on the plane and they just deal with the consequences regarding size and weight?
