MiG-15/F-86 Campaign Announcement
Apache600 replied to Apache600's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Glad you're enjoying it so far Minsky. And thanks for the report. Mission 3 briefing is not an error, you just don't have time between missions 2 and 3 to get a new flight plan, so you take off with the one from #2. Mission 5 though ... Yeah that's a problem, lol. They certainly shouldn't be doing that. Those UH-60s are just secondary targets though. The primary should be the Apaches nearby. I bet the default spawn location on the FARP changed in one of the updates, and is nwt spawning them in a location when I had a static helo set. -Apache600 -
F-86 Mission 2 CTD when engaging the boats
Apache600 replied to JonathanRL's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Very odd, I'll look into it in the near future (computer broken down at the moment since we moved across the country to a new house). If this problem persists, you can always skip the mission (F10 radio menu option within the first 30 seconds of the start of the mission) -Apache600 -

Into the Darkness Download link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3304480/ This mission takes place at night and requires you to safely extract important documents from a recently overrun outpost. You must then return them to a friendly ship. Available aircraft are: A-10A, A-10C, A-10C II, AJS-37, F1-CE, F-5, F-14, F-15, F-16, F-18, JF-17, M-2000, Su-25T, But one player MUST have either an AV-8B, UH-1, Mi-24, AH-64, or Ka-50 to be able to land at the outpost and pick up the documents. The option to reduce the number of enemy ground threats, and make the mission easier, will be available to you via the F10 radio menu for the first 2 minutes of the mission. Another note, the more advanced / capable aircraft that the player picks, will spawn a more difficult enemy aircraft which provides CAP over the target area. -- Briefing At approximately 1530 hours, the enemy launched a massive attack across the Bzipi River; and our forces stationed on the other side were quickly overrun. Many retreated back to Gudauta, but we still have some men who couldn’t escape in time and are now hiding in and among the buildings. When dusk broke, the enemy stopped their advance and bunkered down for the night. This has given us a chance to regroup, and prepare for a counter attack tomorrow morning. But that's not why we're here gentlemen; we're here for something far more important. One of our commanding officers, who was stationed at a road outpost in the town of Lidzava, had earlier in the day received a notebook containing all the logistics data the enemy uses for supporting their war effort. Looks like those rebel spies actually pulled through for once. Now, why they put all this data in a notebook, and not on a computer file, is beyond me. But the problem we face here is that when the outpost was being evacuated, the officer forgot to grab this notebook! So that is our mission tonight, to retrieve that notebook and get it back to one of our ships. We cannot afford to lose the upper hand that this notebook could give us. There is one ray of hope though, a Private Higgins who was assigned to the Road Outpost, and didn’t make it out with the evacuation, had made contact with us via his cell phone. He happens to still be at the Outpost! We brought him up to speed on the situation, and he is more than willing to help us out. Though he said that he would just run the notebook out to whoever is doing the pick-up, as he intends to stay with a few wounded soldiers he is tending to. Our secondary objective is to soften up any enemy forces in the area. This would not only lessen the enemy’s numbers for tomorrow's counter attack, but it would also increase the likelihood that they wouldn’t stumble upon Private Higgins, or any of our other misplaced soldiers, during their search of the neighborhoods. We have also detected 2 enemy ships approaching the peninsula from the west. They will probably be just off the coast in approximately 4 hours. If we can take them out, that would really help cripple the resistance our boys on the ground would have to deal with tomorrow. Good luck gentlemen. And don’t forget your NVG’s - End of Briefing - Update Log: v1.7: 3 F1-CE’s Added Added Link 4 and ACLS to Super Carrier Added TACAN to FARP area Updated some briefing pages v1.6: All Blue flights coalition changed to Blue Task Force Added 2 AH-64’s Removed 1 F-14B Land Added 4 F-14A Carrier Added 2 F-14A Land Fixed multiple issues with text and triggers in Helo package pickup sequence Updated a few Briefing Pages v1.5: 1 UH-1 and 1 Ka-50 switched to Mi-24’s v1.4: Added 3 A-10C II’s (removed 1 A-10A to make room) v1.3: Changed Stennis to Washington Removed extra CVN Moved F-14’s to Washington Added 4 JF-17’s Diversified friendly harbor fleet ships v1.2: Added 4 F-16's v1.1: Fixed tanker script error at mission start. Huge update, including adding aircraft and gameplay fixes. Check out the change logs for more details. Missions that have been updated are: - Krasnodar Variable v1.3 - Las Vegas Variable v1.5 - Under the Fuzz v1.4 - Generation Gap v1.2 - Prison Break v1.2 -
Just stumbled upon this. Wanted to extend my thanks for taking the time to make it. Great work!

Great, glad to hear you advanced on. I'll still look and see what's going on with it. That "auto-complete" feature only exists during the first 30 seconds of each mission. I didn't want the chance for a player having to go to the F10 radio menu to make a call in a mission and then accidentally hitting that.
-
hmm, odd. Dumb question, but you are going back to Nalchik, correct? I'll look into it as well, but in the mean time I'd suggest starting the mission again and selecting the "auto-complete" radio option right away. Exiting the mission after that should advance you to the next one.

Little mistake in the Briefing
Apache600 replied to MetalGear_Honk's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
whoops. that must have slipped through when carrying the campaign over from the MiG-15. Thanks! -
Noticed that the 19 slot tube rocket pod is not listed, even though there's a prebuilt loadout that includes it. (Same with those Mk-20's at the bottom, they also are not able to be selected)
-
Hmm, that is really strange. Just to check, you've got Freq 4.05 (Wave 162) in there? In the mission editor, we don't have the ability to change airport frequencies, or change how the ATC folk operate. If you say you are requesting startup, not hearing anything, and then seeing your next option is request taxi, then it sure looks like your communicating with tower, just not hearing it for whatever reason.

I am not a programmer, nor do I know coding (aside from it clearly being black magic). But if they were to get the NTTR map to work with 3 digits for the W numbers down to 2 (i.e. W 114 works as 14), maybe they could add a 9 to the first number in front of all the E figures in Normandy to denote it as E as opposed to W.

Updated 1/16/2019 to v2.8, check original post.

Crash in Mission 15 Final Nail
Apache600 replied to AeriaGloria's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Alright, can confirm this is an issue (and with both the MiG-15 and F-86 campaign) That point where it crashed had a lot of units loading in at once, so after some fine tuning and testing, I have it working again. It'll be available in the next patch. Thanks for the report! - Apache600 -
Crash in Mission 15 Final Nail
Apache600 replied to AeriaGloria's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Thanks for the report. Will look into it. Remind me if you could, are you flying the MiG-15 or the F-86? And with heading through the valley, would you be past the point where you get the radio call saying to follow the power lines? If i think I know where you might be, past that point and near the front lines, it might be the point where a bunch of air units spawn in. -
Neither of the two F-5's are set to Expert AI, one is set to Good, the other to High. And there's a Radio Message that comes through saying that if you're being pursued by the escort fighters, to run to our front lines. You're even given headings to fly to get there. So i'd recommend running, not fighting. Cunning Fox listed some good tips to help throw them off while you're enroute to your friendly forces.

Looking at the mission, you sure you're getting hit by a Chaparral? If you get near Mozdok, those units all de-activate. There is however a Linebacker M6 that sits off the departure end of runway 26. He's the reason you have to head 280 toward the small lake to get around. As a fail safe, I'll add it so that if the Secret Plane is destroyed, it'll also remove those. Just in case you found a funny hole in my SAM blanket and weren't tripping the triggers that were expected.
-
Thanks for the report Flying Toaster. There's another post about it here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=220321 After running multiple tests, it almost looks like the F-15E's that are going in cause a crash for some reason. I'm either going to substitute them out, or just remove them. It's a very odd error, and can't replicate it 100% of the time. But removing them entirely seems to do the trick. The fix will come in the next update.
-
Hmm, I'll take a look at that heading. It should keep you clear of any SAM's. 290 is more north than 280 btw :P You're right though, 10 degrees shouldn't be the factor there.

MIG-15 Mission 7- Getting wrecked by Helos
Apache600 replied to RocketmanAL's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Haha, they must be! No fear, and crack shots -
Not that I know of, there may be a way to do it with scripting, but that's beyond me. My work around to that is to put a single enemy soldier near the "target", and have that as the object being lased.

Mission 14 (8.6) is currently bugged, please see this post from yesterday: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3737317&postcount=14

I've mentioned it before. Don't attack the hill! and because the mission parameters change, you don't have to. For your info / viewing pleasure, here's the MiG-15 Mission 8.4 details below (in the spoiler):

MIG-15 Mission 7- Getting wrecked by Helos
Apache600 replied to RocketmanAL's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
These Helo's have become more and more aggressive since the initial release of the campaign. The diving attack as stated above is the best advice. If you try and sneak up on them from the side, but see that they're turning to face you, ABANDON that attack, they'll certainly tag you in the face. Alternatively:
