Maybe they should open a seperate Paypal Account for a release party (no joke, I would spend 5 bucks). Would be nice if they could celebrate it with some champagne and some Valium for Sith :music_whistling: Must be a hell of a job to keep the crowd under control

Thread lesen. Wird übrigens täglich aktualisiert.

F15C Suggestion- Adding Strike/Ground attack loadouts
FSKRipper replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Wishlist
Maybe this can bring some light to the development... see page 12 onwards. @SinusoidDelta: The correct term would be the F-15C radar had the capability for A/G EDIT: I assume we are only talking about the american F-15C! ADA398080.pdf -
The NH-90 was dropped to my information. I love new gadgets but let's be honest, the FM and avionics would not be more than an educated guess or advertising. No military manufacturer would give his new and most precious data away. (Much to my regret you can see that even the AH-64A is kept under such restrictive information policy that a third party developer decided to make a training module for the army without the chance of creating a DCS module. Unlike ED who managed it to create a "public" A-10C Version, this studio signed a NDA which won't allow use of their gained knowledge about the Apache.) The Panther (or military Dauphin) would be interesting. There are so many variants (of the Dauphin) from different manufacturers that there simply must be some kind of reliable information regarding the FM.
-
You forgot the most obvious... It is simply classified. The same would be true for the NH-90. To get a close to real FM I would vote for the Dauphin. This baby is used around the world and even in civil air rescue stations. I think it should be possible to get some nice material (Cockpit photos, pilot interviews, maybe FM diagrams...) for this helicopter. To be honest, even after one studio dropped the project, my dream is flying the Apache together with a buddy in multicrew. :music_whistling:

Chuck's next DCS guide - What will it be?
FSKRipper replied to Charly_Owl's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I'm voting for the Mirage 2000C since the most planes coming from ED have a nice manual to get started. I would also go with gospadin that planes without ASM, AFM/PFM should be second priority if it takes so much of your time. The upcoming helos would also be fine but I would wait for a close release date to vote for these beauties. -
Sorry, I followed this the last 4 pages and with every additional post this sounds more like conspiracy theories. If you have any doubts about the current (work in progress) flight model of FC3 aircraft, is there only a single reliable source of hard data other than Wiki, tv documentations or the feelings of some disappointed eagle drivers? I would say when in doubt, for the accused... If you can't bring hard evidence that there is something wrong your feelings and experiences are simply irrelevant... ED is well aware of the missile problems and working on them. But please don't be so stupid to believe everything that was posted in this thread. Even as flight engineer you won't be able to create an exact missile model based on dimensions and guessed performance data.
-
I see what you are talking about but don't expect this high fidelity damage modeling from old FC3 aircraft like the MiG-29. If you try belly landings or light collisions with PFM models like the A-10C or the FW-190 for example you would be more satisfied. Losing a wing without getting roasted? No Problem! Maybe one day ED will upgrade all FC3 planes to an AFM or better PFM but as long as this won't happen you will get what you have paid for... budget module = more simple simulation.

F15C Suggestion- Adding Strike/Ground attack loadouts
FSKRipper replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Wishlist
To make it short, the Mig-29 and the Su-27 in DCS carry AG munitions because they do in RL. The american F-15C carry absolutely no AG munitions (ignoring the cannon). Because a publication tells it could, it doesn't mean that it will be done. Even if it is possible in theory! You can search the forum, in one of the earlier threads it was stated that the certification for bombs was stopped. This means theoretically it could carry them but it isn't allowed to do so. There was an idea after Iraqi freedom to wire them for JDAM delivery but this would need upgrades for the radar, the navigational equipment, the weapons computer and so on. Simply to expensive. You can be sure that ED is aware of your topic since this comes up regularly which you would know if using the search function. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=140635 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=138353 The "take home message" is: I hope it is official enough for you! -
F15C Suggestion- Adding Strike/Ground attack loadouts
FSKRipper replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Wishlist
You can spare your time proving which aircraft did what and which could do this thing. As Maverick said, as ED said, there won't be such thing like bomb dropping F-15C's in the next years, point! -
F15C Suggestion- Adding Strike/Ground attack loadouts
FSKRipper replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Wishlist
As stated dozens of times, balancing will not happen in DCS because there is no reason for it. The russian planes use AG munitions in real life, the american F-15C not. Theoretical Options are completely senseless as we have seen in another thread regarding the F-14 Tomcat and the Amraam. If you essentially need a western fighter plane which drop bombs wait for the Mirage otherwise the A-10 will do it. -

Already pre-purchased

Still thinking that operating single engine CAS aircraft like the F-16 or F-35 over territory hold by religious fanatics is a stupid idea. It don't even need a manpad to get the pilot into trouble. The Warthog is no wonder but to keep some of them in action to fly FAC and coordinate rescue operations would be more constructive then sending them to the boneyard.
-
Thanks Snoopy, can't comment on the flight tests but ground behaviour seems ok if you confirm it.
-
I'm not sure what would happen in the real AC but my experience this evening was that after switching on battery, Inverter (stby) and APU I was able to start the left engine without boost pumps. I never got the APU Gen warning and when switching the right engine to idle, it won't spool up. Maybe a bug, maybe the right behaviour. Snoopy or the devs could tell...
-
Nice idea but I would not expect a 3rd Party developer team to give us a high fidelity ECM aircraft as long as electronic warfare is only covered very superficial in DCS. Same belongs to AWACS in my opinion. There are some tools which give you a nice ATC view of DCS. No need to condemn a pilot to move you around for 6 hours in circles when you could simulate AWACS with Teamspeak. For bombers, yes a nice idea but not before ED finished the multicrew Feature.

No way!

I know it's hard to get started with such things but you two missed a very emotional thread regarding the flight model in late 2014 were most people demanded to remove the artificial speed limit of the MiG-21. This was done, the result is flameout/engine damage to overspeeding which is realistic behaviour. I must admit that I don't know if something was changed (or broke) during the last patches but it has passed some time since I saw a MiG-21 changelog...

Wheel Stand Pro, anyone with experience?
FSKRipper replied to CallsignFrosty's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yes the system is great, you can simply change the tubes and have multiple setups. The small plate came also with an extra tube. I cut it by 12cm and installed an extension for the Warthog stick. The only thing left for total immersion is the release of the Rift :music_whistling:
