Would be nice to get an answer from you. And perhaps the video? :music_whistling:

An extended Warthog is worth a thousand words
FSKRipper replied to dok_rp's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks Newy, I thought you used a secret setup where 4 rubbers are holding your stick from all directions :) I would be happy to get an extension but I'm still not sure which seize. I think my two childs (2years and 2 months) would kill a ground installation shortly. So maybe a 120mm extension for the beginning with some kind of socket between my combat rudder peddals would do it... -
As a potential Oculus user in 2016 I would like to know if you are bound to the same limits like TrackIR or can you throw your head back behind your chair (~160°) to watch the tail of your plane?

Cool setup... Are these things clamping rubbers? Would you be so kind to make a shot without the cover? -
Could you please explain the second point to me? "Accelerations that are not excessive and that are easily controlled" Could that be a physical factor on the plane? Could be that I'm totally wrong but I would read it not as recoil but the opposite thing. As long as the rocket is on the wing (veeery short) and the rocket ignites, it would accelerate this wing? EDIT: I reread the thread and found this is close to the theory of the OP so forget it, I simply wait for the ultimative answer :)

So it seems nobody is wrong, nice. BTW do you have a Video, track or Tacview of this 6vs6 of your wing? Would be a great chance to watch and learn. Even I'm not too old to learn

Yepp, you said it all and I will sign it. You used coordination among your fighter pilots against another team. The initial discussion with Pepin was from a point of view where he (without any support) is going against an unknown number of enemy fighters with his tactics(1-4?). See: "What about if there are more ECM countermeasure? how he know I am the bad guy?" This was judged as suicidal by me and some other pilots. If that assumption isn't correct and he works with GCI/AWACS, teammates and voice communications , I would also correct my statements.

I can agree with the first part as long as I joined servers where heavy MP environment meant straight team deathmatch but as soon as you encounter organized resistance from a VFW I got buried dozens of times. Does that mean I had no kills? No. But when flying online my first priority is to stay alive, the second that my teammates stay alive, the third that the mission goal is achieved. From that perspective I used to do it the old way. For sure there are plenty of working hide and assault tactics but from the survival perspective.......:music_whistling: Look at the Mig-21 against modern fighters thread, It's not the matter of scoring hits. The real deal is to dodge the pissed off Eagle Drivers whose buddy was downed a few seconds ago :). When flying blue I can assure you that two Slammers on my plane are especially for those tiny red Prowler imitations, just to keep them busy... Maybe we should switch that to another thread since the OP had the working MiG-29 Radar in mind...
-
You will never know how much opponents are incoming with radar off. But I have to agree in one point, Using the EOS when hiding between hills is not a bad idea and I also used this from time to time. But do you really agree that a head on, radar off, ECM on engagement at 3000-30000ft will get you anywhere but in a coffin?
-
If you are lucky it may work for one try but most of the times you would find a fast death with such tactics. 1. Why they know who is the bad guy jamming around? Communications! A well organized flight/team knows where it's members are and what they do atm. 2. Before you even get a contact on your EOS you will take some AMRAAMs in Home on Jam-Mode directly in your face. 3. As Svend above already said, you have simply no SA and no idea how many guys are inbound and where they are. Simply imagine 2 of the 4 Eagles leave their radar off... 4. Also said by Svend, they will burn through before you even got a hint on your EOS 5. Fly high, produce contrails and you got all the attention to be the next kill 6. Crouching in the hills with EOS on is an option but don't feel to safe. Everybody expects the MiG-21 pilots there and the look-down ability of the Eagle Radar is not too bad at all. The point is if you have no SA by an AWACS using the SU-27 datalink your chance of surviving your tactics will be extremely low against human Players.

Plane swerving without any input !
FSKRipper replied to Shadow KT's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I have to agree with Hardcard. I set my rudder deadzone to zero and created a small input on the right brake axis as seen in other tracks (see trackfile). My plane simply rolls straight down the line so the most probably reason for the problems in Shadows tracks could be the minimal rudder/nosewheel input. F-15 brake input.trk -
When Mi-8 will come out of beta?
FSKRipper replied to heli3's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Don't misunderstand me, I like eye candy but as mentioned I see it way down on the list. But if you prefer an animated rotorhead in the F2 view to a complete manual, training missions, working interior and system modeling you may have bought the wrong game :music_whistling:? -

I honestly hoped that most people would judge eye candy as a bottom point on the to do list... -

May I ask kindly what apart from bombing you are missing in this 224 page manual? -

Plane swerving without any input !
FSKRipper replied to Shadow KT's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
It makes it easier to control the aircraft but can lead to other problems as well... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129571 To describe it short, my pedals had no deadzone problem but every now and then they seem to trigger one brake very fast (without notice to the display)which leads to a fluctuation in the left hydraulics channel pressure. This can lead to a loss of NWS steering which is a frightening experience during landings... This was the reason why I asked Shadow for his hardware :music_whistling: -
Plane swerving without any input !
FSKRipper replied to Shadow KT's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Just two short questions... When deleting before you reinstalled DCS, did you made sure every bit was deleted? Even the saved games/DCS..... files? Did you ever used a mod that changed *.lua files? -
Plane swerving without any input !
FSKRipper replied to Shadow KT's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Ok that would mean no problems by additional controllers. I asked for the axis commands because DCS (in it's default settings) likes to set multiple axis (f.e. pedals and slider 1 of the throttle) for the same command. I also had one situation where my TrackIR was assigned to the roll axis by default. Ok, I'm running out of ideas. If I get a brilliant concept I will report back but I hope an ED official or another user can solve your problem before we get too old  -
Plane swerving without any input !
FSKRipper replied to Shadow KT's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Sorry to hear that the repair made it even worse. If it is possible for you, could you attach a screenshot of your "Options/F-15C/Axis commands" ? Could you also tell what hardware you are using exactly? Stick, throttle, pedals? Is there other hardware which could interfere with your devices, a Gamepad maybe? Are you using a wireless Keyboard/mouse? Sorry for this stack of questions but I had issues in other games that originated from such things. -
Plane swerving without any input !
FSKRipper replied to Shadow KT's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
OK watched the A-10 track again and made also two tracks with a clean aircraft. 1. with NWS engaged the plane is drifting to the left, as longer as you leave it engaged above 50kts the more you will drift. 2. without NWS enabled the plane is drifting slowly to the right. All your observations are correct but I can't remember that there was a time without this behaviour :music_whistling: Regarding the F-15 landing without brakes: It seems a very minor drift since you reach the end of the runway without hitting the grass... Maybe there is something weird but I can't tell you whats going on...From my experience with small planes I would call it normal... The F-15 takeoff is very strange, indeed. Can't reproduce it on my end... A-10NWS.trk A-10.trk -
Plane swerving without any input !
FSKRipper replied to Shadow KT's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I realized the problem of your A-10. Maybe I can post a track myself in the evening. Drifting to one side during T/O and landing is a very familiar behaviour afaik. I will also take the time and watch the other tracks when I'm at home. I have to admit that I never encountered such behaviour with other planes like the F-15. -
Plane swerving without any input !

Could be the answer for the A-10C. As long as I remember the upgraded FM it was impossible to start and land a loaded plane in a straight line without significant rudder input -
Plane swerving without any input !
FSKRipper replied to Shadow KT's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I can't comment on all of your tracks but I watched the A-10C part twice. What I remember is that you drifted left during T/O. Such a discussion happened some years ago. I can't remember if the reason was the inertia by the engines or simply asymetric loading but you drift slightly left and the first correction took some time with your rudder (NWS was off at this time if I remember correctly). During the first landing you came in to the right, tipping the Brakes for some times and then your plane is slowly drifting to the left (as at T/O). You made no corrections by rudder/brakes. Real planes are using all axes during landing process (Can only speak for light planes like RG182). The simple answer in this special case for me would be: Either there is a bug which I'm familiar with since 3 or 4 years or you are encountering these inertia/asymetric loading physics :music_whistling: Again, I only speak for the A-10C part!!!! -
I would be cautious with such statements using an edited video and scratching hard along the forum rules. Dear users! We urge you to refrain from discussing political topics on our Forums To answer the OP question I would also vote for the S-8. It would be the simple number of rockets achieving mission kills on some MBT's.

As Sith said... leave it to him. Everybody in the village was aware of his hobby. His weapons were officially confirmed as "demillitarized". The leading state prosecutor has to push his political career so what seems better to find an 78 year old "Nazi" with a whole bunch of war weapons in his house... To avoid misunderstandings: This old man is a collector, was never suspicious to be a Nazi the last 60 years.
