Ramstein replied to CrustyJim's topic in Bugs and Problems
I too have an issue with the F-16 and the SA-8 in the HAD, it appears, as a red dot, but cannot lock it to fire a harm. I have search for an answers, but so far nothing. -
DCS F-16 optical warning? I am suspicious of IR like from SA-8. Thanx

it's ok, worked with the Blue Arrows, Aermacchi MB-339 PAN jets from the Italian Air Force of the Italians in the Airshows in Germany, Red Arrows too, and every country in NATO a long time ago.

A couple changes done over the last couple of years really makes the A10-C II horrible and very difficult for me and others. The MFD as extremely difficult to see and lock on object with the TGP, because the contrast is horrible! A long while back it used to be easy and fun. I don't know which updates ruined this for me and others who also said it is now terrible. We were told some changes in the way some weapons no long use the same fall line to make it more realistic made it a PIA too. Even if there are mods to change things (or change things back to when it was better for us) we might end up having it not pass the server checks. Question: any plans to change the MFD (TGP) camera views both vis and IR and contrast so we can actually see targets clearly?

Ramstein replied to skypickle's topic in Military and Aviation
I didn't fly them but was in a lot of cold war aircraft either on the ground or in the air, but not a fighter in the air. Was in the USAF, SAC, TAC, and NATO. Bombers, fighters, MAC, Helos, Tankers refueling fighters in the air. -
it stopped doing it for a month and now it's back. it isn't my freaking computer, only thing it can be is the software, software updates, VR Oculus updates, etc... and it don't happen in IL-2. for the record, it goes hourglass every couple of minutes and returns to DCS, then hourglass with frozen screen, then back to DCS working, etc..etc..etc.. the latest Nvidia driver was the culprit. I rolled it back to the previous driver, and all looks like it is back to good.

In-Game Scratchpad Mod Available - Works Great In VR!
Ramstein replied to Fubarbrickdust's topic in Virtual Reality
Thank you! I still have Questions, as I can't get TheWay to work properly, but Scratchpad works fine (although I had to set a different number for 'X' in the CheckBox for VR use.) It has been a very long search for along time to find answers that work for me. -
if DLSS puts some of the load on the CPU<,I am happy about that, as my computer has an awesome Intel 13900 CPU and DDR5 Ram. The GPU is the old 2080 TI. Let it use some of the untapped CPU!

Anyone with 300+ MBS up/down, fiber optic to 5gb high speed router try and use Cat8 Network cable? Question is does the Cat 8 networking (with RJ-45 connectors to the computer) help with the speed/bandwidth? I am putting new cables in soon. Also curious if it might help with my Firestick with the router wireless, the Cat8 will also feed the router. I am removing some Cat6 cable. I have an Orbi High Speed mesh router setup. Fiber Optic from my ISP.

I will try soon to get a proper track. I have to check everything first. I can tell you I had both the cbu-97 and cbu-105, I would switch to the cbu-97 and the CCRP que would be up for that, no problem, but as soon as I clicked on the cbu-105, all it would give me was a fall line in CCRP, the CCRP que was no longer there, I could switch back to the cbu-97, and the CCRP Que would be right back like no problems. you guys are right, they removed the Que!!! wtf??? it's hard to read the crappy green!!

A-10CII CBU-105 Que missing for release. I haven't been flying it for a while, and I cannot get the Que with the arrows in the circle with arrows to show up for the CBU-105. P.2.7 in Chuck's A-10CII guide. it shows up for the CBU-97. Is this a known issue, or is it me? I worked on this looking for the problem to fix it. I give up. anyone have any ideas? Thanx

i think my comment caught you the wrong way... I guess I should have just said wow! that's a fantastic video card if it didn't notice the speed bump of MSAA. please, don't think we think you lied.. that's just wrong. It was just a comment on the 4090.
-
is this an ad for the 4090 or are you rubbing in our faces those of us with crappy video cards?
