anything with D3D in log, means video issue. Dumb down some video settings in DCS. and try that.

The WIng - F15 at Bitburg in the 80ies
Ramstein replied to The-Dude's topic in Military and Aviation
that's where the F-15's would TDY from to my base at Ramstein. We had a NATO aircraft in and out all the time. from the old WWII (airshows) to the latest and also secret missions (some are no longer secret). -
Please! fix pure clients once and for all! EVIL EVIL software code! ruins so many sessions!

F-14 TOMCAT stream deck XL profile with RIO cockpit

so, just bat files with script and GUI. -
I am still running 7700k

I see that people with higher end can add their info, and see about CPU or GPU bound. I just didn't have enough info to give any answers. Also seeing what others can get with the 2080-ti. I am doing better with MT, with my Intel 7700k (4.2 GHZ cpu, currently running at 4.5 GHZ CPU). But old Asus Z170 motherboard. The VR was getting killed, now it is at least consistent 20 + FPS and even more sometimes. Depending on the map and aircraft. It was easily getting half of those FPS numbers. I just say getting more than 5 FPS gain. But it is more consistent FPS.

Multithreading VR Benchmark 4090 + 7950x3D
Ramstein replied to DirtyMike0330's topic in Virtual Reality
with that bad azz of a computer, video 4090 (I looked at prices and wow!) I would have expected every video setting to be maxed. I have never gotten my VR FPS above (consistent) 40 FPS in everything I fly, DCS and IL-2. YOu are rocking it up 60 to 99 FPS. I also usually have only used Intel CPU all of these decades. No biggie, just different cpu. I hope to build a new computer soon, but had to check out your MT scores in DCS. Thanx for the info. -
you might have to reload your vr, look in the menu of your vr software to reset it.

if you have a slightly older computer stay with 10 for now. if it is new and high end go with 11.

Almost looks like the Stalker map, just change the broken old vehicles to Russian.

the basic counter is only basic. you can determine FPS with many formulas, websites, and software. With the latest DCS, and especially with VR, unless you have a newer higher end computer, you can count on every major component a bottleneck. Anything under one of the fastest video cards, any CPU that is not one of the fastest. SSD memory too. A motherboard that is not the fastest. Etc..etc... Then the big one is some sims rely on CPU, some on Graphics. Some on both. We picked a hobby that demands the best fastest computer. You can run not only 3D mark, but there are free software and websites that do benchmarks. IMHO BTW, none of us DCS pilots knows when it will be optimized for CPU cores. Everyone only hopes and wishes.

wish the F-18 radar worked much better. Hope the F-15 radar is better than the F-18.

I should have read this before trying to make the damned things work

take it from some of us older people that have been through much more, there is nothing worth get worked up over. Be happy you are still able to have a hobby, a home, and a life... really...

you are not the only one with the latest Nvidia drivers sucking,,, they have really screwed them up
