I agree feels much more real than headphones when you turn your head left or right the sounds changes as in real life headphones sounds stays stationery good example of this is in a heli. I used to use a neck shoulder speaker with the rift s so when I turned around the engine noise would change as it should.

Going from VR back to a Monitor is like flying a simulator and going back to playing a game.

Play how it was made to be played standalone steam is just more junk in the equation.

Just had a thought have you tried changing the room lighting frequency as oculus set on auto gets it wrong some times.

The shimmering is just the nature of VR try changing the time of day.

I am on my 2 rift s first one I had did feel like it's not tracking %100 I sold on but not for that reason tho, the second one I bought was used and is much better but to be honest now and then it seems to act like yours does so I am now going to sell on because when it happens it ****** me right off and hate the halo idea.

Not true at all: I had a xeon x5650 Six core stock 2.6 ghz clocked to just under 4 ghz with a Asus P6x58d-e MotherBoard. Used with my old cv1 cost 40 pounds was fine for most games on moderate setting,

Are you using steam version of DCS.
