Thank you Wicked for taking the time with such a good reply. I have owned cv1 and now rift s the halo is really gritting my **** just can not get on with it if I shake my head feels like it's losing tracking but it isn't just wobbles. I like the idea of the index but only have a 1080ti not sure what kinda of performance I will have. I think I will try a thicker face pad on the s to stop the shaking, I liked the original cv1 for stability and comfort.

I had a little play with the piccy.

Which pci slot are you using on the motherboard. If using the other gfx slot check with gpuz to see if your 1080ti is running at full chat on mine the usb card will rob performance from slot 1 if I use slot 2 with the usb card. Why it worked before no idea :D

Considering the f18 is very good in VR it would of been nice if we was told the F16 will be crap.

I change form 50hz to 60hz manually in the head set as auto is not always reliable depending time of day and instant sold tracking comes back, I run led lighting in my play area so that may help.

Some useless info for you: I have owned 2 cv1 in the past and at the end of october I bought myself a rift s very happy after a couple of days I was using the passthrough feature and thought very useful but here's the weird thing I looked around in my room and saw a figure standing next to the cooker ? I removed the head set thinking my brother had come in to pay me a visit, he just lets himself in BUT no one was there. So I sold on the rift s but after about a week I pulled myself together and bought another which is now on the way lol.

So why did you bother with the testing for 2 weeks if it's a known problem ?

I would be happy with low candy but nice clear as possible gfx like I said previously the opinions are so different from many users.

Steam VR is a cluster ****.

I am only interested in dcs and seating position vr demos to show friends.

The opinions on this headset are from one end of the scale to the other.

Just picked up the oculus s I have owned 2 cv1s in the past very happy with improvements e..t.c Any quick tips on setup compared to the cv1 I know I should go look and search lol but any major differences I should be aware of with the oculus s. Thank you jamie.
