  1. posted in the wrong place.

  3. I can read all my gauges, HUD, radio frequencies, and the MFDs from normal sitting position. I have to zoom for the CDU buttons and to better see the TAD. Long distance spotting is pretty good without zooming as well. I’m running 1.3 SS and 2xAA.
  4. I have the Saitek pedals. They are a little sloppy but they work and have toe brakes. Mine are about 10 years old with heavy use and still going strong
  5. Before going VR I was using a 55” 4K TV at a distance of about 3’. I could practically see Batumi from Vaziani. There may be a slight exaggeration to that statement :music_whistling: But seriously, you don’t need high levels of AA at 4K and if you crank up the view radius settings you can see and identify aircraft for miles.
  6. I made mine from PCV and a Gardena garden hose fitting. I’ve change it around several times at a cost of about $1 each time until I was satisfied. It might be worth the effort to “prototype” before you invest in a more expensive, permanent solution.
  7. Could it be like a FARP where you have to click the radio button twice to turn on the lights? I’ll check in a little while as I’m playing hooky from school today. Sure hope the students get along without me...:music_whistling:
  8. I found this one on eBay for under $80.
  9. Bet ya $10 the commercial Pimax doesn’t hit the market this year.
  10. Samsung Odyssey. Highest resolution, 70+% more pixels than the Rift and Vive, AMOLED screens. Easiest setup, No towers or cabling to run, plug and play with Windows10. Works flawlessly with DCS.
  11. If you’re going to do DCS in VR you have to get the Odyssey or Vive pro. The extra pixels make all the difference in the world.
  12. Yes overclocking is a great way to get some free/cheap extra FPS. For the price of a used CPU cooler and a couple of case fans you can often times pull an extra 20% performance out of your rig. Overclockers.com and overclock.net are a couple of excellent places to get an idea of what you can hope to expect.
  13. I think they just make shit up on the fly. When I bought the 4K and had issues with it they came up with 4 different reasons of why I was having the issues and all of them were just made up on the spot. Garbage product from a poorly run company was the real reason.
  14. Those clips were MP right? Are you noticing the same issue in SP? Is there a place in a A-10c quick mission that the issue consistently reoccurs for you? I could load up that same mission and see if I can duplicate the problem. While I have noticed at times the HMD drops to the steam load room while playing online; it is usually a lag that everyone on the server experiences but doesn’t necessarily correspond to a vehicle destruction event. I usually fly on the 104th, 99th, and aerobatic servers. I’ll be flying tonight and will make note of the timing of the pauses if they occur.
  15. Just noticed it was still in there. I’m going to see if it works now.
  16. Is anyone checking their ram usage? I had to throw another 16Gb in my machine to stop the pausing as all of the first 16 was being used up. Are all of you running Intel or are some of you running AMD? Be nice to see if we can verify whether this may be hardware specific.
  17. I was having the same issue. Determined that my ram was reaching 100 usage as per the Windows performance monitor. I added another 16Gb and the issue went away. I also found that running the monitor in full screen lessened jitters and increased FPS. There seems to be some variance with running full screen but it seems to vary with the different HMDs ie Rift, Vive, WMR.
  18. The 1/4” rod is secured to the throttle through the 2 mounting holes on the front of the base plate with a nut on top and one ont the bottom. The 2 nuts are tightened against the bas plate between them. I bent the two top 90 degree bends first by drilling a hole through a 2x4 then inserting the rod into the hole and bending it . The 2x4 will give you a nice clean bend. Once the two top bens were in place forming a square horseshoe shape I drilled a second hole in the 2x4 so I could stick both ends of the horseshoe through the 2 holes at the same time and did a 30 degree(ish) bend so that both sides matched. A little tweaking and cutting the two ends so they were equal length and viola.
  19. I concur. I waited to update because I didn't like the idea that I couldn't turn off DS but bit the bullet so I could play on my favorite servers. Seems they cleaned everything up nicely and increased performance to boot.
  20. Might want to move this to the VR board. I use the Odyssey with no issues at all. Picture is bright and clear. Minimum SDE. Tracking is spot on. And I can read my gauges and spot bogies at distance without zooming in.
  21. That sounds very weird to be sure. I don’t have any issues at all and have never heard of this issue. Check the WindowsVR reddit and MS VR site.
  22. Touchpad mounted in front of the throttle. If you keep your finger on the pad the cursor doesn’t move with your head. I’ve flown with this thing for about 20 hours now and it works great. I usually use my trackball for startup but once in flight it’s all touchpad. For reference. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=207386
  23. You can watch videos in the cockpit? That sounds like it could be useful. I used to use my IPad with monitors but didn’t know a solution existed for VR.
  24. I’ve also found that if you are tracking at a greater distance it seems to be more precise. I face the opposite corner of the room that has a lot going on. There are a couple of Windows, dresser, and a book shelf with Knick knacks on it. Room recognition is immediate and precise.
  25. I don’t know that you can use an axis as a keystroke because it’s a linear analog input as opposed to a digital on-off input.
