  1. So where is the problem than to use it with PC same way you using your mobile and gear vr? Don't be such restricted. Oculus GO didn't invent hot water similar devices is already on the market for years and people using it with DCS with maybe some additional software to made connection to the PC and could be done without wires at all. The only problem could be 6DoF tracking.
  2. Yea, I agree with it but that is just one piece of the VR interaction in the cockpit. Problem is that this cursor work in the only 2D using on X and Y axis. Another problem is it is fixed to View so if you got head tracking it is move with it so you always need manually compensate your mouse and head movement what can be problematic. If we add to the cursor Z axis as well we will finally get depth in cursor movement and then should be placed in cockpit 3D space so will not be fixed to the view as it is now but stay in 3D space. So if you move to some right panel and turn your head left cursor should stay where you left it with the mouse even out of the sight and if you turn back your head to the right you will find it exactly where you place it in cockpit VR space. Also, cursor position and showing indicators should react to the close not just X Y axis but Z as well. First of all cross indicator is moving left/right up/down on X and Y and should increase/decrease on Z axis what will indicate a position in depth. So when you are moving the cursor to the some MFD button for example cross size will decreasing to the point when will come to the 3D position for activation be possible. This activation could even be in that case automated because we will get 3 relevant points for that. This will be more precise, intuitive and real to the real thing is. In that case, even Leap motion will be good enough to handle this way without problem caused with finger tracking imperfections.
  3. Thanks, Jabbers, but I still have lots of questions and reservations about it. In your video, it is not clear how this works in DCS. From what I saw in your and others video about CG I could see there is no positional tracking for Hand so this glove recognizes finger movement and Pitch, Jaw and roll movement just. In essence, this is a glove with EDtracker and sensors for 5 fingers nothing else. So is it possible to move your hand in cockpit naturally in 6DoF? This cost 500$ pair and to give tham6DoF you need to ad two Vives sensors on your wrist and ich cost 100$, so this is 700$ to be usable for what we need hands. Hands we need just for interaction with all these buttons inside cockpit and HOTAS is part of the immersion and plane and flay without it is out of the question. I'm still got the impression that Leap motion or something similar is best and cheapest solution for that interaction we just need proper implementation what will be adopted to its limitation.
  4. Just do your time, no problem m8. We are waiting and some other quality materials as well. Look it's your fault, you spoiled us. :pilotfly:
  5. LM is limited true but you have to adopt this limitation when you implement it in DCS. LM have a problem with tracking all fingers in some positions of your palm when some fingers out of visual from LM, but point finger and thumb is in 99% always visible. For usage in DCS, you don't need all fingers, you don't need even hands representation. We need only 6DoF palm tracking which will move the mouse cursor in 6DoF as well not the only 2DoF like it is now. There is the problem not in LM limitation. LM is working more than adequate in other titles and mods in flight sims when they adopt their usage by LM limitation. So why can't work properly in DCS, because of LM limitation or improper implementation?
  6. All this is huge bulls... 400$ for 10$ worth gyro sensors which just tracking rotational movement and few sensors to track finger move many in glove? With proper implementation, Leapmotion could offer all of this plus positional tracking as well and all of this for 7 times less price. Captoglove is not worth that money. That's it and selling result will prove this once it comes on the market.
  7. I'm not against Sebastian or Sweviver. I'm not against Pimax8K. My point is for proper DCS related evaluation we should wait for someone who is more competent for it. Those two need a lot of help from a side to do it best as they could and I'm respecting that. Just warning to not expect much from them. Just to evaluate immersion even Fruit Ninja is good enough and I will never play such game more than once or occasionally once a month. You don't buy high-end VR for Fruit Ninja when Oculus GO is more than adequate for it. This is DCS forum and we are talking about DCS in VR here not about Fruit Ninja. About VR, in general, I will talk somewhere else.
  8. Just to clarify this some more. Even on this forum from more experienced players, who were reviewing some VR devices, fail to evaluate some of the important issues. So How you can expect this from Sebastian an Sweviver. My point is just to not expect too much from tham but I'm satisfied with them already because I know exactly what I can expect.
  9. DCS have specific needs in VR. 200 FOV is impression OK but how good you can spot air or ground targets compared to the other VR's, or how good you can read HUD or instruments, how you are competitive in MP? To check such details can see only experienced DCS user because someone who is experienced as Sweviver will see on HUD only numbers and in cockpit only gauges, you, me or Wags for example on HUD will see target, Altitude, airspeed, direction e.t.c. in cockpit we will see pressure, airspeed, direction e.t.c. not just numbers and gauges which for noobs look the same because they don't know to use it and what it is represented at all. It is like you ask some kid from elementary school who barely learn to read to review and evaluate some artist novel. For example Dostoyevski War and Peace. I do not expect from Sebastian and Sweviverthat level of Pimax8K evaluation. That's it, nothing more. I believe them and respect and understand what level of evaluation I can expect from them. That is not their problem it is Pimax problem because they establish contact with ED and didn't do anything else for further cooperation to shape Pimax8K more optimal for DCS. ED's answer was positive but Pimax failed to raise it on the higher level.
  10. What did I hear? I here product is here and it looks like just like they promise. For some deeper testing, we just need to wit the tester first report to Pimax so they can decide are going public with M1 or we need to wit for M2 if it is necessary. For that, we will need to wit week or two. The device is here, it is existing and it is real and it proves how some rumors about the Pimax8K scam is more than exaggerated.
  11. We have to be patient. Only what this videos I showing right now is fact that Pimax8K is real and everything goes as promised with just smaller delay, what in essence is not bad because that delay is caused by trying to find better solutions for some issues. We will have to wait a bit more for proper presentation in public which will happen only when these 10 testers approve that everything is alright. As I notice all of them is just people from the community which will do more promotion than testing. Something similar what Belsimtek did with FA 18C with limited pre release to some tubers.
  12. With all respect to Sweviver work about VR, in DCS he is a noob and that is what I meant when I say there is no competent DCS tester for Pimax8K. No hard feelings Sweviver, but I think himself is aware of it. In his video from DCS playing I notice he didn't properly set up graphic details for best performance vs details ratio so that is already huge minus in start. Only what I really expect from him to give us feedback on some other games he is more familiar and comparison true lens. For everything else, we have to use our imagination and some personal experience for "possible" DCS prediction.
  13. I think that depends on results of the testing as well. Even I got the impression that all these 10 testers are more public relations and promotion than a real testing product. Something similar Belsimtek done with Hornet. Ther was a flood of Hornet videos before release day from the community. I think this is the real purpose of this testing, a promotion. We will see soon a lot of videos and true lenses comparison to make a judgment. I+m only afraid that we who want it for DCS will need to wait for a proper review for our specific needs. We still don't know do we have proper DCS tester among this 10 for proper evaluation.
  14. Some people can't hear anything even on the full revealed because they just don't want too.
  15. First public video of Pimax8K M1.
  16. Yes, unfortunately, DCS doesn't have native support for Leapmotion but this proves concept as Leapmotion should be the best solution for interact hands in a cockpit. Best and cheapest one.
  17. If you can use leapmotion as Oculus controllers in other games than this emulation should work in DCS as well. Point is you can give some gestures as clicking buttons on controllers. So palm up and palm down could be natural gestures for switching or pressing buttons. I don't see why shouldn't work that way and if its need ED support shouldn't be complicated to implement it. Leapmotion is not a source of the problem at all.

  19. This palm new is great. This should be easily implemented into the Leapmotion gestures. There are no problems with hand tracking only sometimes if Leapmotion loses some fingers in visual range but in this case, there is no need to finger tracking. Leapmotion as well doesn't have a problem with such gestures as palm up or palm down. Recognize it without problems so this could be left right mouse button or switch up/down. Rotating palm CW or CCW could be the scroll and that's it. This is all you need for interacting with your plane cockpit and to have full immersion and forget about your keyboard. Keyboard? What is that, are you put it in a sandwich?
  20. Just found some post here with prove of concept. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3382044&postcount=48 I think it is done the way I describe you. Try to find some newer tutorial about it.
  21. In DCS you will just need tracking, not all five fingers and two gestures for left and right button to be able to interact with buttons like with a mouse. You don't even need to look at your hands, already existing mouse cursor symbols are good. Only what Leap motion need to do is X, Y, Z positioning of that cursor inside the cockpit and that's it. Keep it simple.
  22. With better support from ED Leapmotion will be better for use definitely.
  23. Your CPU goes to 4.3 GHz with a decent air cooler. GPU is top Only ti is better. You could also OC GPU as well, check some tutorial for it. This should raise your performance in general for around 15 - 20%. What is not clear is it 45 FPS in V$, 4K or just 1080p?
  24. There is something that I don't understand. There is no logic here. If Pimax8K will work on V1 and V2 of Vives Lighthouse that means Pimax controllers and tracking is V1. On Vive V2 works V2 and V1 and on V1 only V1 controllers. Following that logic Pimax standard than is V1 not V2 if Pimax working with V1 Vive tracking. Am I right?
  25. That is some old video and prove of concept. I hope there is some never and better version to use Leapmotion in SteamVR as controlers and use default DCS VR controlers support.
