  1. I was trying to be constructive but obviously, this is impossible with such people as me. Sorry, you are right, only Saitek and Thrustmaster works any other joisticknot. I'm stupid and don't know anything only forcing Leapmotion but now CG working perfect same as DCS VR contolers. Take my apologize and enjoy in perfect VR controllers in DCS. Thank you and goodbye.
  2. OK. Let stop this pointless debate about what should be or not. Let's be practical, What we have right now with this Capto Glove? What is functioning right now? I don't have one but according to the video as I predict and didn't get any denial from real users, at least not yet. CG working in a way they have 3 axes. Pitch Jaw and Roll and tracking finger move true glove. First of all CG owners confirm that or make a correction and explain what we got with CG. Thanks. I'm aiming to figure out what we got right now, and to see could we use CG, or any other similar product as part of SteamVR controllers. Maybe the combination with Leapmotion could give us full 6DoF tracking with the glove. In this case, using LM just for positional tracking of our hands which should work perfectly Because LM only have problems with finger tracking and less with positional tracking what in this case could be tracked by CG. The idea is somehow combining this two hardware as one SteamVR controller for proper interaction in DCS module cockpit. Take that as an initiative and be constructive. Let's try squeeze as much juice from that what we got right now. ED and CG developers are more than welcome in this debate. It is in a mutual interest of all of ass ED, CG, LM, possible others devs or hardware producers and us end users. Let's be constructive, together we can do it faster, better and easier.
  3. Exactly. That is my point. For example, Oculus support OpenVR (older version and today is OpenXR, basically same thing) but have its own standards too. So the question is why thanED didn't start in the first play working on VR controllers support based on OpenVR so everyone could use it instantly no matter do you have Rift Vive or WMR. Why just exclusively Rift?
  4. They don't but from the moment they promote VR support in DCS, they have otherwise they clearly have to say they are not supporting VR in general. How long VR is in use, and all these years they didn't do much even if they promote the product with VR support? How much you know about VR controllers technology? From your writing, except using it, nothing. I'm here for OpenVR standards not exclusivity to just one vendor. Is it that hard from the beginning working with general standards so everyone will be able to use it the same way. Is it that hard to understand? Is this unfair to anyone? VR controllers in general joystick with few buttons and 6 axes per controller. If you start working that way this controller should work the same on any platform no matter is it Touch controller, Vive controller, or any other SteamVR controller, glove or Leapmotion based controller. All we need in DCS is 6 axis for positional and directional tracking and just one button for interacting with switches inside cockpit. And if you do it generally that way should work with any VR controller same way. End of story. That this is possible is proven to buy some guys who managed to do much more than ED in the shorter time than they working on Touch controller, they do it for free and with very limited knowledge of coding. Basically, at least they prove it is doable.
  5. This is complete nonsense and false information. First of all recommended, some product is not the same as implementing only one. You can choose Saitek or Thrustmaster, BTW Saitek not existing anymore is now Logitec, but you have in-game support for any standard controller. So you can buy cheap no name for few $ or some expensive small series high quality from specialized manufactured controllers like VKB or SMG. Point is you have a choice because any controller working. Its up to you what will you use. But it this case when working only rift controllers for VR or where they forcing some other specific product is at least not fair and maybe even against the law, at least here in EU is. You obviously don't know what was happened in the past with on purpose blocking Freetrack standards forcing only one choice for head tracking. DCS modules are highly expensive products and that is OK and full right from ED to chose product price. But with such price, they must have proper support for that product and even that is obligated by the law soon as they sell one product. I just want from ED to be fair to us faithful ED consumers to have basic decency and provide us with what we need to fully enjoin in the product we paid. It is not just law obligation it is ED moral obligation even more. Did I ask something too much or impossible? No, I'm not asking, I'm demanding because it is their obligation to do it in a moment they decide to step out to market and sell this product. Especially if it is easily doable and I prove it is in several cases.
  6. This basically proves of concept and functionality if ED wants to implement VR hands in the cockpit. All this is already built in any module. The only thing we now need is 3D mouse cursors like in this videos. DCS is a hi-end simulation with the even higher price but unfortunately without finish quality expected under this price range. ED wake up and give us what you charging us. Our dedication is deserving that.
  7. Yes it is. It is even possible with Il2 BoS which don't have clicablecockpit. This is just prove of concept and for more information check there. https://github.com/cbuchner1/driver_leap https://github.com/BManx2000/VirtualButtonBox/wiki
  8. That is the problem. It is work only for Rift controllers not for steam for example. Such glove should work as VR controllers. Leapmotion has support as steam VR controllers and you can use Leapmotion as Vive controllers. With general support for all controllers not just this elitist bullshit with support for just one controller, all these gloves will work as natural hands in the cockpit. Similar problems we were having with ED in past with Freetrack vs TrackIR standards.
  9. There is one thing what is recently confirmed, Pimax8K is not 200FOV. That is deception. Real horizontal FOV is not confirmed. Pimax doesn't want to publish it and testers can't do that because of NDA. Point is Pimax showing 200FOV but diagonally what is not real FOV, only real FOV is horizontal as any other VR device is shoving they FOV. Pimax real FOV is somewhere around 170. It is still good and much better but I think it is fair to warn you to know what to expect to not be disappointed when you realize that. I'm not pro or against anyone or anything.
  10. Problem is in DCS in general. There is no proper support for hands in the cockpit. The mouse cursor is actualy2D placed in 3D space and it is not suitable for such use. For the same reason, CG is not working even part of the problem is in CG too because there is no positional tracking so they can't be used as VR controller. Same reason Leapmotion is not working as well. Soon when such support will be implemented as generally standardized VR controllers any gloves will work the same way even those which is much cheaper than overpriced CG. Even LM will work, maybe not perfect as glove controller but good enough as a cheap alternative for using hands inside the cockpit. Jabbers sorry but that's a fact.
  11. Hardware just gives you a possibility to implement some technology but real final implementation depend exclusively by game title for full functionality. If this is true like you say there will be no problem than with any other technology. Take DCS and SLI/CF support what is already old technology. At some point, DCS was had such support but it was abandoned and today we don't have it at all. This is just a one DCS example but it goes in other titles and not just with SLI/CF.
  12. Without such support built in specific game, like DCS in this forum case, is useless. For example, there is VR SLI/CF support from GPU hardware but no practical use because it is not yet implemented in any single title. Implementation of such technology will increase performance for minimum 70% in VR. We will be able to get better performance per $ with 2x GTX 1070 than with single GTX 1080ti. Technology is here but it is not implemented at all.
  13. 20th August will be revealed of the RTX 2080 what is relevant to us gamers. Quadro is out of our league because lowes price for 5000 model is 2300$. According to some sources, RTX 2080 will be 8% faster than GTX 1080ti or 50% faster than GTX 1080. Price could be somewhere between 500 - 700$. So Monday ...
  14. Check this. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185191&highlight=virtual+key+box Also, according to Leapmotion developers problem is support for LM from ED. Without it cant work properly even it is proven it can work competently in some other title which has support.
  15. I think after you can find Lenovo Explorer WMR on Microsoft store from time to time on discount for just 150$ al this time, money and effort with Google cardboard is pointles. Remeber Google cardboard don't have proper tracking and controllers and Lenovo Explorer got this all and much more.
  16. Nice found but we are already talking about it here. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=214804 Let's stay focused on one thread about it.
  17. Look, you will get benefit from OC but you need to be sensible. Every single CPU is individual in OC and it is all depend on multiple factors to be able in OC so you will get results for your CPU between 4.3 to 5.0 GHZ per single core. So when you do OC on your MB and CPU put it on load and test it for stable work. Speed you got to work stabile is your OC speed where your CPU will work without problems and without shortening life time. There is no problem with OC your CPU and GPU. first inform your self about your hardware, how to do it and than just go for it. Good luck.
  18. I was acuse that I'm forcing Leapmotion and speaking against Capto Glove. No Gentleman's, I'm not. I just put some question and impressions got from videos politely ask people who was try CG am I wrong or my impressions is correct or at least partially? Except attack on my opinion didn't get any answer at all in last 10 days. This all is remind me on times and similar issue with implementing Freetrack support in DCS what was trying to block by TrackIR lobby in similar way. In the end we won and get Freetrack support, ED should be opened for all. If someone is happy with CG let him be and maybe in the end this will be the the best solution for realistic interaction inside cockpit but right now I dont get that impression as well. And I'm repeating for I don't know how much, I'm not against CG but give me some arguments for it! Is this wort 800$ or not.
  19. There is two major things you can expect soon. First Pimax8K working well and they going to mass production. So this beta testers are mostly VR enthusiast connected with public media so we could expect lift of the NDA and they could finally show us their impressions. Also other major issue is software capability to reducing 200FOV to 170 with intention to reduce need for higher hardware needs in some titles, like for example is DCS. lower FOV is lower number of pixels needed to be rendered. This is good possibility for consumers to make some compromise with performance and details.
  20. It is normal because all FPS which is dividable by 60 is without stuttering or tearing and you feel smoothness in move even if you see only 60 FPS. So 120, 180, 240 and 300 fps works perfectly even if you see every second, third, forth or fifth frame.
  21. Without X, Y and Z axis or positional tracking this is half product and come on 500$ for a pair? For what? LM could be here addition with the task of just positional (X, Y, and Z) tracking of your hands and rest will do CG. This way will be acceptable, This will work for all VR, not just Vive and you will save 150$. For making this product worth in CG should think about to add something like LM to tracking position of your hand in 3D space. Only with positional tracking all this what offer CG has some sense otherwise ...
  22. It's an old trick we used in Il2 CloD. Lowering the resolution to enlargen plains model in distance. When you SSing in VR you are actually increasing resolution to get better details and sharper picture but native resolution is still the same. All this SS is a compromise, more SS better instruments reading but harder to spot targets in distance. Less SS is just an opposite but as well more FPS. In VR we still need a lot of compromises to depend on your preferences.
  23. It is still not the final product and even if it is this 80/90Hz issue could be fixed later with a software upgrade. 80Hz is proven stable and that is the reason why it is right now locked on 80Hz. Devs continuing to find the solution for stable 90Hz but this 90Hz is no reason to stop the project in other fields. Thet will be waste of time and unwanted delay. If 80Hz show OK it is possible even to lunch consumer version before this 90Hz stabilized. Thet is why this testing on 80Hz is important.
  24. As I constantly talking about, there is no positional tracking of the hands just rotational. It is useless and 500$, for what? Leapmotion with all its fault is way better and I'm not talking here about price. BTW LM is 1/10 of the CG price. Camon people what you are talking about. Forget about it this is only usable with Vive if you invest additional 200$ and this is than 700$ almost as Pimax8K with hand tracking. I'm warning you last time and I'm here in this theme over and out. Waist your hard earned money, you will not get what you expect with it and will be disappointed.
