Same, very happy with my Reverb G2. Will be patient and wait a few years for this to drop.

That is a great idea, let's hope that is the plan

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
Krupi replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Whilst we wait, I know it is not a FB Mk.VI but since we have been left in the dark at least it isn't a Hind! -
Unfortunately this is DCS WWII, what we should get and what we do get is a "?"
-
The first few Mk.VI used Merlin Mk 21/23. Even these aircraft could have been replaced with Mk 25's.
-
As expected it has been confirmed on Discord by NineLine that they are of the old model.

This one... https://www.abebooks.co.uk/9781906959081/Mosquito-FB.VI-Airframe-Systems-RAF-1906959080/plp I went to an event hosted by the People Mosquito a few weeks back, wish I had asked the question then but I completely forgot. It was a fascinating presentation, I learnt loads that I had not heard of before.

Just seeking some clarification, the current screenshots of the Mossie cockpit shows the Radio equipment, however I am confused as to what version we will be receiving. A book I have points to the arrangement we currently have, which shows the R1155 Receiver and the T1154 which were only on the very early FB. VI. From the book I have... As you can see this is what we have modeled, with a T1154 and R1155. This is what was on the vast majority of FB. VI according to this book at least.
-
Some pictures I have seen before and some I have not, so I doubt these are of the new external model. Could ED confirm?

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
Krupi replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Having made my own replica spade grip for DCS I actually think it was a great design. -
Nice, I hope they do the camo version as well that looks no different than the US scheme.
-
Just for those interested, would be nice to see a few FAA Skins...
-
I can't see them on that site either. Pretty sure this is the one though, bottom right....
-
I am hoping this is why they haven't put the version against the Mosquito in this sub. The TSETSE was also used against JU88s with success, so not just shipping
-
You wouldn't need to change the control cables, at least not in my understanding, you just change the weight. It is a tough call, add a weight to tune the flight characteristics and ensure the integrity of the aircraft is maintained or remove it to allow greater manoeuvrability at the risk of damage to the aircraft.
-
I was under the impression that there was a mass balance on the Bombers elevators that was removed from the Fighters? EDIT: Ah no seems that was a single pilot test that they did, see point 26. http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/mosquito/Mosquito-VI-tactical.pdf I wonder if the inertia weights on the fighter versions differed from the Bombers?
-
The flight characteristics were drastically different between the two, perhaps they replaced the yoke to take advantage of that?
-
The second to last camouflage was actually the Day Fighter Scheme and should never have been applied to a FB IV, the vast majority of which were delivered with the official Night Figher Scheme of Dark Green and Sea Grey Medium. It would be great to see some Far East Scheme.

A humble opinion how should DSC WWII scene develop in future years
Krupi replied to tapi's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I would love to see Malta and Italy. -
Having now read a few accounts of agents involved with the Joan-Eleanor Project the Americans use of the Mossie is fascinating. Can't imagine what it must have felt like for the poor chap strapped into the rear fuselage for the entire flight!

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
Krupi replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
This document suggest that the actual speed that could be achieved was 384mph. " All-out level speed is often given as 368 mph (592 km/h), although this speed applies to aircraft fitted with saxophone exhausts. The test aircraft (HJ679) fitted with stub exhausts was found to be performing below expectations. It was returned to de Havilland at Hatfield where it was serviced. Its top speed was then tested and found to be 384 mph (618 km/h), in line with expectations." http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/mosquito/hj679-dh.pdf It also appears to be with external wing tanks so 371mph at Angels 5 without. If that data is accurate that would give it roughly the same speed at sea level as both the D9 and the K4! -
I am using one with my G2 and a i5 6600K @4.5GHz and it is working relatively well, I can get 45fps re-projection on my G2 with the settings at a reasonable level. The G2 however is at 50% SS in SteamVR, still looks amazing, especially compared to the CV1 it replaced. Which headset are you looking at?
-
Might be wise of them to produce a slimmed down version of the gasket, I would buy it... The G2 is way way comfier than my previous CV1.
