What where did you read that!!! Please link. I have been in the dark for the last two months! It is pretty galling seeing people who pre-ordered months after me or even just happen to find it in a local shop playing with it. Right now I just have my fingers crossed that it arrives before Boris Johnson and his merry band of numbskulls ruin everything.

Unfortunately I ordered from Amazon.es

That would be nice, unfortunately they can't even tell people in Europe when there preordered G2 is going to arrive... I don't expect it to arrive this year now, which means if a certain political event in Britain beginning with B comes to be I will get hitched with an import Tax... Fitting way to end 2020 at least.

I have no idea if this is correct, however it ties up with what the HP Engineer told MRTV...

I heard that HP have confirmed that 100% on Steam VR is not a bug?

Not strictly true. I generally fly the Spitfire, coming across aircraft such as the Dora and K4 is frustrating. If we had the G6/G14 and the K4 and Dora's were dropped from the server the plane set would be accurate and 'balance' would be restored. Same would be true in adding the Spitfire Mk.XIV or Tempest.

Err... Definitely not easier to kill any aircraft with a 20mm compared to a 30mm. One hit with a 30mm and you, quite rightly, are out of action.

This is not good feedback, ordered from Amazon.es so god knows when I will get my unit. I imagine it will be a huge improvement over my CV1 regardless

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
Krupi replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Entirely agree Mr Sukebe. It is a shame that the K4 and D9 will stop the Mossie from shining, even if they give it 150 octane. Regardless I am going to buy it as soon as it hits the store,it is going to be a blast. -
I would have said Typhoon given it's ties to Operation Overlord however honestly the only valid answer here is the G6/G14... After that the Typhoon, Tempest & Spitfire XIV. Before we move on to another theater we need to set have a decent baseline for Normandy/Western Front, the G6/G14 will be a huge step in the right direction, if not I am worried it will set a precedent for all future theaters.

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
Krupi replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Really if you want the bomber variant we would need a map from England to Berlin :smilewink: And a spare ~4 to 5 hours to drop off the 4000lb bomb and get home, using the GEE to get your bearing as it is 4 o'clock in the morning. The FB.VI is the right choice, as long as it is late version with Merlin 25... -

Bomb Bay: 250lb or 500lb x 2 Wing 250lb or 500lb x 2 50 or 100 Gal Drop Tank x 2 RP-3 Rocket x 4/x8 RP-3 Rocket x 4/x8 (DOUBLE STACK) + 50 or 100 Gal Drop Tank x 2 They also carried Depth Charges and Mines however I don't know how much of either.... Also there is a chance it could carry up to 12-16 RP-3 Rockets in a stacked layout however I can't confirm this at the moment. The above image you can clearly see the double stack, I imagine they dropped the fuel tanks. This begs the question of if a total of 16 RP-3 could be carried without drop tanks? -
Unfortunately I ordered from Amazon.es, absolutely no message from them regarding availability.

Same here... If they ever decide to deliver the preorders in Europe

Impossible to shoot off wings with mk 108
Krupi replied to ouky1991's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Also that image appears a lot worse than you it really is... The flap is blown down, all of the panels behind the wheel door are missing, however if you look at the images below while extensive the angle of the photo makes the damage look significantly worse. -

DCS doesn't balance. As Yo-Yo was saying the main spar takes the load for the wing to fail this would have to be damaged. In the image you have shown the Spar does not appear to be hit, however the aircraft wouldn't fly particularly well :smilewink: -
A humble opinion how should DSC WWII scene develop in future years
Krupi replied to tapi's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
How far does one go? We wait for a flyable aircraft and then what... realistically no WWII aircraft flown today is flown at anywhere near the power that they were originally intended, add to that pilots pushing them beyond that operationally, and these quirks you mention only become more pronounced or even occur at higher speeds, for example flutter on the Typhoon. Have you read Roland Beamont's book on the Typhoon/Tempest? From my recollection he goes quite in depth into the flight characteristics. -
That is good to hear Don, I am still rocking the CV1 and the ASW can cause some pretty annoying issues. I fly the WWII birds and ASW and some of the aircraft have issues in the cockpit and when dogfighting the wings of the aircraft glitch, it almost looks like they are flapping  Have you seen these issues?

It does amuse me when people say... Ah there is no Typhoon/Tempest flying. No K4 is flying however like Al-Azraq has stated there is G version about. That said we HAVE a Dora... No flying examples of the Dora exist. Yes they received a lot of data from Erich Brunotte I am sure they could do the same for the Typhoon/Tempest. So I don't buy this reasoning. However if they are really really dead set against doing these aircraft then they have no excuse, in fact in light of the K4 and Dora I would say it is a must, create the Spitfire Mk XIV. Looking into the future we might be fortunate to have a genuine Typhoon flying again and with a Napier Sabre engine as well....
