I would like to hear more about the navigators role, what they can do etc... If no one takes the navigator role do we have an AI navigator filling this role?

At this time we have yet to hear anything other than that interview. Personally speaking I would like to see the Normandy/1944 West Front populated with further Aircraft even if they were AI before we move onto another campaign.

Well they are moving to Vulkan, the question is when it will be implemented. Hopefully next year.

Hey chaps, I have a G2 on preorder and I am leaning towards upgrading my 2060 SUPER to a 3080, I am also debating about whether or not to upgrade my CPU from a i5 6600K @ 4.6GHz? I know that 4K is normally driven by the GPU but would I get any advantage in DCS getting a i5 10600K/R5 or i7 10700k/R7? From what I can tell the R7/i7 would help with the minimum FPS but that is really the only benefit.

It is valid I agree, I worded that incorrectly. Regardless of the game performance 4K is GPU dependant I just wanted to point out that the games they show are more GPU than CPU based regardless.

Seriously Expert, the OP went from a 1080ti to a 3080.... Dudikoff is simply stating that we know that the 2080ti was an improvement over the 1080ti so seeing zero improvement going from a 1080ti to a 3080 seems odd..however this is probably only true for 4K.

I am definitely waiting for the Zen 3 reveal leaning towards a R7.

Unfortunately that test is not particularly valid as DCS is CPU heavy. In the article Flight Sim 2020 which is also CPU heavy was omitted from the test for that very reason. That is a shame as I would have liked to see the results on Flight Sim. Still thanks for sharing, it has given me food for thought as I am debating upgrading my i5 6600K to a R7 4XXX or i7 10700K in anticipation of the 4K Reverb G2.

Hi Chaps, Is there any reason to go for Intel over AMD? From what I have read it seems like you can get better performance in games overclocking Intel over AMD, is this the case? I am currently looking at either a R7 5X00X or an i7 10700K.

I would like to know as well, my EVGA GT 780 died on me after 4 years, I now have an MSI RTX 2060 SUPER. This time I am debating about going for a FE. I know that my CPU would be a bottleneck if I popped a 3080 in, but I might do that anyway until I can buy a new CPU. Is that a bad idea, thoughts?

I brought "Mosquito Pathfinder: Navigating 90 WWII Operations" by Albert Smith a while back, but as implied it is from the navigators perspective. Might give me some inspiration to be a navigator once we get our mits on this beauty. I wonder what ED are planning regarding the navigator role in terms of AI :huh:
