  1. You're not the first guy to have this idea... There's a couple other threads asking for a AAR game mode. Back in the day when the FC3 Eagle still had its SFM you just had to make contact and the computer would fly the plane until you topped off your tanks. It was helpful, but ultimately not nearly as satisfying as flying the jet the whole time. In my opinion, tanking is the most difficult but also the most satisfying part of DCS. Put in your practice, have the patience to work through the frustration and eventually it will click. If you want to practice with probe and drogue refueling you can use the M-2000C or the Su-33. Difficult, but definitely not impossible. This was just my long winded way of saying "git gud." :smilewink: Seriously though, best of luck. Hope you figure it out.
  2. I wish my wife was cool like that :(
  3. Ah I see what you were getting at... I don't have the Cougar bezels or anything cool like that. I have my OSBs assigned to hot keys. Hoping this can be done with a couple lines in a lua file.
  4. That was just a mock up I put together with the premier photo editing program PowerPoint. My question is how do I get an image on the screen behind the exported MFCDs.
  5. Hey guys, I successfully exported my A-10C MFCDs to my second monitor. Love the result, but my only complaint is that it's sometimes hard to tell which LSK goes with which function. What I would like to do is put an image file in the background with the video from the MFCDs overlaid on top. That would make it much easier for me to know which LSK hot-key I need to hit. Anyone got any ideas? The pics will hopefully illustrate my point; exported images on a black screen on the left and on the right a rough mock-up of what I would like my second screen to look like.
  6. If you're dropping from stations 5/7 you can't drop in pairs. You probably wouldn't want your bombs knocking together as they depart your aircraft
  7. Better late than never
  8. Cool Wags! Sounds like you enjoyed your trip to Moscow!
  9. Email sent
  10. So just to clarify, regarding the Orbweaver, you don't actually use that as a separate input device (in addition to the keyboard) but rather a means of replacing the keyboard altogether?
  11. Looks like covert flares to me. Check out this page: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/systems/mju-50.htm Covert flares combine the IR decoy features of a standard flare without announcing your presence visually to everyone within a 300 mile radius.
  12. Who doesn't enjoy the occasional pyrrhic victory?
  13. Ohhh, ok. Thought you guys had some cool mod going I didn't know about. Thanks for setting me straight
  14. what's up with the F-35F on short final?!?
  15. Great info! Thanks for your input. It's always really cool when a SME shows up
  16. Especially since he was the last one to comment in the thread...
  17. DCS-M1A2.... yessssssssssssss!!!!! :cheer3nc:
  18. Hot start should be an option for when you place an aircraft...
  19. I don't know where the potential confusion lies. It's not like we're getting bombarded by modules; hi fidelity or otherwise. Five minutes of research should be enough to tell you whether DCS this or DCS that is on the A-10C level or the FC3 level.
  20. No dual stage trigger?!? Maybe hold out for the X-55 Pro?
  21. It's a licensing requirement from Ubisoft, the original publishers of LOMAC. You have to install LOMAC before you install FC3. The FC3 installer will check to see if LOMAC is on your hard drive and then it will install. Once FC3 is activated you can delete LOMAC. Pretty straightforward.
  22. They helped me a lot too, but I found that most of the learning occurred from watching YouTube videos.
  23. I had a Logitech 3D Pro at one point too, and I felt like fine control of flight was next to impossible. I upgraded to the Saitek X52 Pro, and it made a huge difference for me. $400 for a TM Warthog is a lot, so be aware that there are cheaper alternatives that can be almost as good as the top of the line model.
  24. Look in your User/Saved Games/DCS folder. Click around and there should be a mp debrief file (can't recall the exact name of the file). Open it in Notebook+ and you'll get some info. Not as easy to read as the sp debrief, but it still contains most of the pertinent information.
  25. I would love some top cover from a couple Vipers when I'm in my Hawg, if for no other reason that they could share data via the TAD page. Bring on the DCS F-16!
