Yep, we have 50 Aussie squadrons so as many as you can would be cool.

Hi J7G, If you know of any other Kiwis who would be interested in helping us gathering info please spread the word and we'll combine as much of it as we can get our hands on. The more we get the better the end result will be.

Can I ask for help for resell price?
aussieboy replied to TonyStovepipe's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Do a search on eBay of the products you wish to sell first. That will give you an estimate of what you can hope to get for them. You can pick up the TMWH for $293.96 brand new and for an extra $41.99 have 3 yr extended warranty -
When you change the description.lua in that way you will need to restart modelviewer. Just clicking the reload menu won't do it due to the way modelviewer handles textures. Below screenie showing the mounts using the method mentioned

I just use a hex editor and open the .edm and take a look. :smartass: It breaks down like this. {"material name", 0 ,"texture name",false}; Use my last post as an example and you'll see what I mean.

I had a hell of a time after the last update and wasted heaps of time by reinstalling twice and it didn't help. In the end I deleted the contents of my temp folder and tried again and all was good. Now it seems fine although there's certainly more bugs in this version and I get a little stuttering but nothing too bad. I think they need to test things more before releasing, or get new testers because I fail to see how all those bugs where missed by so many people.

Crashmo, try adding this line to the description.lua to save copying the file to textures folders uh-1h.zip. I haven't tested it but it should work and will save the file being overwritten every update. {"uh1_weapon", 0 ,"Uh1_weapons_wht",false};

Does DCSW really need more than 4Gb of RAM?
aussieboy replied to Gloom Demon's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I would say yes, the OS would use a little under 2 depending on what you have installed and if you have onboard sound. 8 would do for most situations and as mentioned already nothing will use it if you have more installed, it won't hurt but it certainly doesn't help. -
Hi Guy's, Also on the doors. I've pointed out the two areas where it doesn't but I'd already fixed this skin so it's not actually visible in the screenie. It's in the UV mapping so there's nothing we can do about it.

Won't let me select an old pilot from my logbook.
aussieboy replied to canadianbaken's topic in General Questions
You can open logbook.lua and edit in notepad and change it to read ["invulnerable"] = true, -
Yep, very straight forward install after 1.2.5 update. I've made some changes graphic wise to the troop badges and added a couple more SQN's ;). How're you going with the US version Home Fries are you ready to send it over to Strut?

How do I reproduce this error? I don't see any problem and they load fine for me

No worries Oesau, I can't wait for the DCS F-18 too but in the mean time you can fly it using this MOD http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/379184/

75 Sqn RAAF Rather then start another thread I'll post a couple of shots of the 75 Sqn F-18 I'm working on here.

Nice work Home Fries, I'm looking forward to these ones.

hmm still not available, I guess it takes a few days for the uploads to be checked. hehe Too slow for me, is there anywhere else I can host these?

When will the current map be made to look better?
aussieboy replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS Wishlist
Would be great to have DEM or SRTM tools so we can add the rest of the world. -
If you allow non flying members then sure that would be great but I'm very much a behind the scenes type of guy. I don't actually fly that much, I take off and land occasionally and that's about it. I gave Strut a good laugh when I told him in an email that I haven't shot anything down since I've had the sim. The most time I've spent in the air was testing the Aussie country MOD to make sure it was working correctly. Do you still want me to come and join the circus?:D

Is MS C++ 2008 redistributable really required?
aussieboy replied to Anatoli-Kagari9's topic in General Questions
C++ 2008 redist is an old version, too old. It's not even meant to be installed on Win7 or 8 systems. Check the system requirements here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15336 metheluckydonut, You can't say the C++ redist thing is a mess because that's just not the case at all. Including an out dated redist in an modern software package would be more of a concern. Unless you're running WinXP, Vista or Win Server 2003 the 2008 redist is a waste of space and an unnecessary DL. -
Paint.Net would a better option IMHO. Program http://www.getpaint.net/ Plugins http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/forum/7-plugins-publishing-only/ Be sure to grab the PSD plugin

Thanks for that Ivan, and to everyone else who helped me out, I really appreciate it. I wasn't going to release the show tail but after seeing it completed I think it looks pretty darn good so I'll upload the both and leave it up you guy's to decide which one you want, you might want both.
