i tested again and you are right. then it might be related to rearming. if you rearm on farp or airfield with empty payload then this happen. with payload it won't. mi-8 back door gunner 2.trk mi-8 back door gunner.trk

i think he means the back door gunner. and yes i tested and its line is missing from crew status page. this happens when you spawn from cold start mode. in hot start it is visible and working.

i can confirm this too. with new update AI does not see obvious targets or it find them too late. in my opinion there are problems with new detection model: the new delay in detection is good but not everytime. for the same area that we are searching there shouldn't be another delay. before this update we could search again quickly to select another target but now we should wait too much and loosing time and it is dangerous when you are approaching target area. the problem is that there is no way to deselect a target and go back to targets list and we need to search again. also adding different skill levels that can change the range of target detection was not a good idea form the beginning. because mission designers can change it without any reason and this affect game play, specially in multiplayer. -
thanks to ED for this great update that has DLSS and FSR. with my setup (AMD 5600X/2070S/144hz 1440p monitor) i had up to 60 fps boost with DLSS options without any problem, except those visual bugs that are already known. it also great to have AA options other than MSAA. nice to see updated AI models and updated Kh-29 family. bugs that i saw was the ping in scoreboard which is not accurate. also network monitoring like ping, packet loss and data sent and receive are completely missing from performance monitoring menu (Rctrl+pause).

yes it happens in multiplayer. reconnecting to server will solve the problem for a while and then it will comeback. (i removed all mods) -
i see exact same fps drop when cockpit display resolution is at 1024. from 80 fps to 48 almost the half until Vikhr smoke goes away. lowering resolution to 512 and 256 will prevent this. but weird part is that if you already have low fps like 50 fps in cockpit then it will not affect your fps that much. this is in Ka-50 lll Caucasus shooting range mission. over sea i didn't see that massive fps loss.

this is so hard to explain .ok, let's look at these pictures below. this is KA-50 lll but something else is visible when other players take slot in ka-50 lll. -it does not have sensors around nose and tail -it does not have sensor compartments below fuselage -it has different Vikhr launcher -it has laser warning receiver panel, which is visible from outside -it has Igla pylons in this pic number 23 is me and 25 is someone else in another slot. we are both ka-50 lll.( both are same version in mission editor too)

hello Flappie. this bug still exist. no this is not related to that old laser warning indicator. in multiplayer if i choose KA-50 lll slot then i will see my KA-50 lll external model correctly but if other players choose KA-50 lll slots then game shows their external model to me as updated KA-50 ll (new 2011 external model) with third pylon (which shouldn't exist). if you look at pictures in this topic carefully you will see differences.

you are right. problem was that i had this skin before in saved games/dcsopenbeta/liveries/mi-8mt folder and because of that it didn't appear as a default skin in game. i deleted that folder and i can see it now.

i can not see recently added skin of Czech AF. its folder is in mi-8 skin folder, but in game it doesn't appear.

fixed AI Petrovich launches countermeasures on the ground

Petrovich launches countermeasures even on the ground. he launches them when he sees any missile in the air, even if we are not the target. it would be efficient to have an option in AI helper menu to control automatic countermeasures launch by AI. track.trk -
copilot cockpit door open/close animation is not synchronized and there are two doors closing/opening after each other. this is visible from both pilot and copliot cockpits. (only visible from internal view).

this usually happens in multiplayer for both KA-50 II and III. even after resetting targeting mode one or both APU-6 launchers remain depressed.

investigating Framerate decreasing up to 16% with 2.8.0

After 2.8 i lost near 30 FPS in different missions. one example is single player empty mission with no units where i could get 130 FPS in 2.7.18 but now in 2.8 i get 100 FPS. GPU usage stay at 99% so i don't have cpu bottleneck there. changing shadows from high to low had no significant effect on FPS. Is it the same problem we had in 2.7.7 "water surface rendering effect" ?- 31 replies

hello. Landing is not being register in some airfields with some modules in Syria Map. one is Damascus runway 05 R and other one is Khalkhale's northern runway. only if landing from the beginning of the runway. some modules like Mig-21 and L-39 and Mig-19 have this problem but some others don't. i didn't test all modules. a correction to this report. it was not related to repair. it is related to auto shutdown itself or its procedure . i did a test and after manual shut down it was working again.

@Flappie hello. this bug/error is not fixed yet after 8 months. may you review this topic and report it to the team. (also these racks are not available on hard points 2 and 5). thanks

hello. this should be a bug. i was going to report it earlier. Shturm racks are not visible after loading them from in game rearming menu. but they are visible if they be part of default payload of mission (track files included). i can remember they were working at launch date but after some updates they became invisible. this bug happens in this condition: 1. adding custom loadout (anything except allowed loadouts) in mission editor and set it as default loadout of mission. (like 80xS-8OFP2) 2. placing the hind position to cold start from parking or ramp. 3. changing custom loadout after mission start to one of allowed loadouts consist of rocket launchers those ASP17 auto ranging will support. after that, auto ranging won't be activated for these rockets: UB-32 and B-20 (all S-8 rockets) and reticle will stay in fixed position. even sometimes 2-30 gun reticle auto ranging may not function properly after that. this usually happen when vehicle enter forest area of a map while there may not be trees or clutters in that area. but it will slow down that vehicle in those green boundaries. this is track file. note that i was pressing "w" button from start to end of track. track file.trk
