  1. Not a good start :megalol: :megalol: Out of interest, are the ballistic characteristics so different that it warrants stopping development at this stage to incorporate this before we get - say ground radar for both F/A-18C and F-16CM or maybe HARM for the F-16CM? Just curious... But if you mean "will we get a variety of ammunition for the guns at some point in the future?" You only have to ask. Qualifications in other computer games aren't really required for that dear chap.
  2. My car disconnects the parking brake when I touch the gas pedal, so why is it so outlandish that a modern multi-million jet can do the same? Of course, the minutiae of whether it should release at 80% when the idle speed is reckoned to be in that range, or whether it releases as soon as the thrust lever moves 1 inch (for the purists - for us metric luddites it's 2.54 cm). It automatically releases when you move the thrust lever - move on! Alternatively, I could simply ask what the significance of this is when a. We got the jet less than a week ago, and it is still under development. b. It has been reported as a possible issue. Enough said?
  3. It depends on how people connect. If you're all on one channel, you hear everything. If separate channels are provided, you'll just hear people on the channel you occupy.
  4. Well clutching at straws really. And bored.
  5. I think we'd do almost anything to get it sooner, but yeah, I can't help thinking you're right on the money. Mind you, if I phone the guy in the government over here who decides when daylight saving happens, maybe we can get it an hour sooner? No?
  6. Does anyone know where we can get some spare F5 keys?
  7. Yeah, I just cottoned on to the fact that the UK is on BST, another whole hour left now. Tragedy!
  8. We could tell you, but don't you think the search will help you pass the time until 16:00 GMT? Only 51 minutes left, so you'd better start searching!
  9. Awww that's just not the same! I was hoping we'd found a loophole in the time/space continuum. Now the truth is known I am so disappointed. I hope you can get it today as you want though friend. I guess only ED can answer the question though. Quantum physics is still an option I think? Or, am I just bored waiting for the magic hour to arrive, and clutching at straws?
  10. If you're really quick, you might be able to do it in the time everyone is still downloading it. Bonus points though - you're an eternal optimist QuiGon? I think your timing will need to be utterly flawless to manage to find that area of Quantum Physics that will mean the module is both on sale, and also at full price and eligible for bonus point discounting. Science says it must exist though, so good plan!
  11. Still not 16:00 GMT. Bignewy reckons that's when we'll see the update go live. Three and a half hours...
  12. Charlie is much better looking than Kim Jung Un. He is also much much more heroic. In fact, I can safely say he could be the great leader of any nation of his choice. But only if the F-16 guide is half as good as all his other guides. Swoon! Seriously, your work is much appreciated, and very useful for us armchair pilots. Keep up the good work.
  13. You are free to do anything you like to prevent early access modules joining your server. You may get a bit lonely, but it is your toy box, your rules. However it is also true that in our toy box our rules too. Sad, but true, life is hard and then you die. Especially if I’m in an F/A-18C with wings that just won’t come off, and you’re in the Bf-109!
  14. It’s daylight here now. Gotta be out now surely?
  15. Excellent that the M2000C will be updated in such a beautiful way. Thanks again for all the hard work guys!
  16. They're there so you can do it correctly. You can shortcut everything - but that's entirely up to you. Of course, you can also run DCS World with random failures - so maybe the checks will save your virtual life some day if you do?
  17. A valid question, but we can all only speculate. I’m guessing that we are waiting for multiple engine props modelling for our first medium bomber. Heavies are a whole new aspect to DCS World given the opportunities for multi-crew operation, and possibly the tech may take awhile to catch up. Principally though, F-16 or B-1 - not a difficult decision on behalf of the devs. So ultimately, it is probably just “not yet”. But yeah, there is going to be a market for them, even if it might not please everyone.
  18. We want to see the diagrams for that too when she has finished her research. Very good stuff. Thanks fo sharing. Maybe they should be added to the flight manual when we get our hands on it?
  19. What do us guys think? We thing it is still in early access. As for storm damage to weapons, I’d say the targeting pod might have a higher priority. That, and actually getting t to early access. In other words, give them a chance to actually tell you they don’t intend to feature weapon g limits before you complain it isn’t a feature in a very early video - which, when you watched it, you were fully aware of! Or is there something about “it isn’t finished yet” you don’tunderstand? The video, is just a demonstration of how you drop bombs, not of the flight parameters of the finished article.
  20. Patience is the key. You will get it when it is added to an update. Not a moment sooner, especially when you make a fuss. That's what my mom used to tell me around Christmas. Yours didn't I'm guessing? :music_whistling: :pilotfly:
  21. With support like this, who can blame them!
  22. I have noticed an error that may severely mislead people. On page 130 - Hornet Navigation (NAV) - How to use the ICLS - Paragraph 5: "Fly to keep the vertical localizer and horizontal glideslope bars centered in the HUD. If the localizer is off-center, fly in the direction of the bar to center it. If the glideslope bar is above the velocity vector, you are too high. If it is below the velocity vector, you are too low." It should read ...If the glideslope bar is above the velocity vector, you are too low. If the glideslope bar is below the velocity vector you are too high. The bold and caps are my additions for emphasis.
  23. I think you may be expecting them to move immediately. Just be patient, they fold, but there is a slight delay. And no, you don't have to retract the flaps first.
  24. Do a search for "kneeboard builder" and all your prayers will be answered.
