  1. You need distance prescription lenses for VR, nothing else.
  2. I'm a member too. Day 1 - or as close as possible - purchases of everything.
  3. Very narrow-minded of you Deacon. The Anton would make a great adversary for the MkIX Spitfire. But hey, it's your choice. I just accept that progress is progress, and you either commit to keeping stuff up to date, or it will just fall by the wayside. Such is the reality of software evolution. Or are you saying FS9 was the ultimate and we don't ever need anything better?
  4. Aww bless, some people still think they might get this. How cute!
  5. In the girlies powder room, where all air force jocks go to do their makeup before heading out to the flight line? ;)
  6. It'll never hurt to refresh files like this once in a while. The only downside is the time it takes the program to rebuild them the first time you run DCS World after the update.
  7. So. in a nutshell, ED are listening, they act on priority stuff as soon as they can. The problem here is that your request simply isn't something many people want or need. Add to that the much higher priority stuff, and you have yourself a perfect storm. It may happen someday, but I wouldn't get impatient simply because you asked for it and it hasn't happened. Just appreciate the number of other requests that take a higher place on the list because they are wanted by more people, and add more to the sim.
  8. In a word, a very low priority given the need for HOTAS in all but WW2 modules. Will it Happen? Who really cares when it brings so little to the immersion. There are simply MUCH higher priorities.
  9. It might be an environmental issue. Are you using the Rift in direct sunlight? Something seems to be throwing the tracking off kilter.

    Trim?

A totally different phenomenon. It isn't a problem to have no trim in the I-16, it is an important feature of flying the beast. Just as hand cranking the undercarriage up whilst keeping the speed low after takeoff is a necessary skill too. "Vive la difference" as the Welsh would say!
  11. A company you'd like to remain around for a while longer perhaps? Isn't that a good reason to cut out the middle man?
  12. I have had an issue regarding placing a cold and dark Fw-190 A8 in any mission. When entering the cockpit, the trim indicator is showing full down trim, and although the switch operates normally, the trim control does not respond. In addition, the flap control shows the buttons reconfiguring as advertised, but the flaps stay full down. The undercarriage buttons also work fine, but the gear stays down regardless of button position. I have deleted the control inputs folder and tried lots of different missions and maps, but the same bug occurs every time.
  13. Incorrect. You set trim for cat launches according to aircraft weight, and it is never just a case of pushing the takeoff trim button. You always have to add more up trim.
  14. One was built by simulator pilots for simulator pilots and doesn't compromise their priorities whereas the other is a mass produced item that has the priority of making it cheap and yet still is able to function if only adequately. Guess which is which?
  15. My wish is that people should stop polluting the forum with pointless wishlists that no one either cares about or has any interest in. But of course for me to state what my wishes are is both self-indulgent, totally redundant and wrong. Because in a word, ED have their own priorities and although they are listening, I would never expect them to change their policies to indulge one individual. Go figure?
  16. Don't hold your breath, we're just worm food. NASA discovered there was no heaven in the heavens. Another myth busted!
  17. As always, I will gladly pay the small sum required to update the Black Shark. I am sure some people here would complain to the Cinema manager when they have to pay for every movie they watch! "But I already saw Bambi, why do I have to pay extra for Pocahontas!!!" (Please note the U rated movies - obviously the children doing the complaining couldn't get in to R rated movies).
  18. We're all a little irked by the problems. To save battery life, why not just remove them when the touch controllers are not in use? Imagine the number of inquiries they are getting given the fact that any number of us are having issues. Don't expect miracles is all I am saying. It'll get better, their sales will depend on that.
  19. Really, response times for an item out just a week are brutal? Jeez man, what do you expect, miracles? They have stated that a firmware update is in the pipeline, and this is just days after the release. Please note that the software is Beta too, so it might be prudent to exercise a little patience and not get too wound up about teething troubles that were always on the cards!
  20. Chokes? Do you mean chocks? If you do mean chocks, they may not be removable if you have the handbrake off, and the crew chief can't get them removed. I've never had any issues with them.
