one could say the Tsar bomba test went wrong. It was designed to be approx 25-30Mt where as in reality is was 50+ does this mean we are getting the Tsar bomba?

F4 or Mirage III or something else?
Winfield_Gold replied to tongyizhou's topic in Heatblur Simulations
anybody else love how it's the same polls using the same aircraft and recycled every month on different threads, especially the 3rd party dev threads. How many times in the last year has the Phantom or Mirage been included in the "next aircraft polls? -
I have read through this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=81101&highlight=ai+hold+waypoint+units+dead However, this works for ground units. There is no "hold" for air units. How would it be possible to set an AI chopper to hold at a waypoint until the enemy forces are cleared from a landing zone? I would say that the command "orbit" would have something to do with this, however after testing it a few times, I am not sure how set a trigger so that the AI helo continues to follow the flight path. The stop condition would either be an estimated time it would take to eliminate the enemy forces at the landing zone or via the a Lua predicate where the stop condition would be if 'unit' is destroyed. What would the script be for the lua predicate? has anyone else tried to have an AI helo hold at a waypoint then continue on after enemy units are destroyed? Example mission uploaded for testing. EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out, however those who wish to pull the mission apart can do so. I placed a trigger in front of the friendly ground units, once the grounds units enter the zone, the AI choppers leave waypoint 2 and continue to the drop point. Trigger can be changed to units in zone dead set flag 1 on and it works a treat. case closed Weapons Test.miz

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Winfield_Gold replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
an AI controlled F-111 would be suitable in this sim. -
hardly a productive post..... have you no idea how long people have been waiting for the bridge bug to be fixed? The latest update shows a huge amount of progress being made. ED should be commended on their effort, not ranted at about ground troops on their knees.

How about a DCS AC130 gunship module ?
Winfield_Gold replied to anlq's topic in Heatblur Simulations
I'd much prefer a B-52H myself with different players in the positions, and a tail gunner for added bonus. -

Not related but not worth starting a new thread about Looks like an M1 Garand, anyone seen this happen before? Looks like it jams at 14.5 seconds, she bolts another round into the chamber and fires I would not like to see the aftermath if it happened to the OP rifle -
If aircraft are designed around Beauty, the Harrier would in my books is a heffer.

What are you on about exactly? my post was aimed at those on the first few pages complaining how the aircraft doesn't handle right. What is right? My response is justified considering those pointing out how poor the aircraft handles Indeed it is a funny situation when you can't read a sentence written in English and interpret it to be french.... -

reading through this thread is quite amusing, People bagging out the trim and the way the aircraft pulls in 'said' direction How many people on these forums have actually flown the real thing? Only real pilots of this bird should pass the judgment, not keyboard warriors who assume how the bird should handle. When I ask 'flown the real thing' I mean, you took off, flew a pattern and landed. Proof would be video (go pro) with radio coms and spoken english between tower and pilot Anyone who has flown a 210 or similar species of Cessna need not comment. -
F/A-18C in DCS 1.2.10
Winfield_Gold replied to Х-stounds's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Indeed it does, and when compared to the video right at the 4 second mark, viewed in full screen, it is obvious that the model used in the video is the "C" varient, unlike the quoted photo I posted Which concludes that as I said previously, Jolly rogers never flew the C model. -
