I suggested in some other thread to use IP screening/filtering. If I cannot watch Veoh or ABC in my country, same feature could be applied in online webshop. Let me have some commercial advantage over them, at least once in my lifetime. Theres no reason why at least 75% of world population (and customers) have to be deprived of some product just because they are not approved by US/EU. They not a measure, and this is not a make-up or cosmetic product that is tested on animals.
-
No, thank you. I'm not in US/EU. Russian price for my country, unless you're gonna cover the difference.
-
Hehe, you should have chosen some other track - this one proves that Mi-24V is more important and deadly then Ka-50 :D For AI, they scored pretty smart hits against AAA  Yes, give us Mi-24!

Above all, there is no need to wait for ERSB rating or SPA-GER-FR translations here. There is no ERSB equivalent here, and very few speak anything but English... We are ready for distribution, with no additional costs to ED :D
-
HAHAHA, nice nick - Oko sokolovo :D It is not only an issue of distribution "yes or no". I hope they will not pump up the price as they used to, adding 10-50% on the basic price :S Same cost as if you go into their store or order it from UK to your doorstep. Sometimes even cheaper, and then they have excusess on top of that. Like, not selling enough, have to cover the cost. Dude, lower the price and you will sell 4 times much copies and earn 2 times more money! Basics of capitalism, hard to grasp to someone...

That means that EULA for RU and West differ legaly to that extent? Say, I decide to create a Croatian localization. Will that localization of RU release be illegal? And, will it be legal for Western release? Sorry to ask so much about this, but I am seriously interested into localization, I've have personal contacts with other people that are not from RU-ENG-GER-SPA-FR speaking countries that are also interested into localization. Plenty of proof for such interest can found on this forum.

multi monitor picture request !
Renato71 replied to hannibal's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
"Veoh is no longer available in CROATIA." :furious: :badmood: :bomb: :bash: :crash: :disgust: :censored: :censored: :censored: :protest: :ranting: And so is not Russian DCS, and when Western one arrives there will be Western price! Thats what I was talking back there in another topic - I'm not in US/EU, yet I have to wait for thier release  But, back to the topic.... Any pics of multimonotor setup? Any tutorial related to DCS? -
Lets hope they're not gonna fix the price :D I rather they fix English on their webshop and payment methods, or let ED distribute it for the same price. This looks like an arms race in cold war - Russians are havin more Ka-50 then the rest of the world! START PANIC!
-
Forward my regards to Ezor :D It is very simpel to set up - even I was able to do it :music_whistling: Here is a small example that also includes Croatian translation: http://lockonhr.com/tacviewstats/example.php Click on a player name and the list will expand into personal scores. Pretty cool  Pitty that FC does not export unguided wepons - above example would be much more interesting and usefull in a2g. I hope ED will include some LUA tidbits that will cover this part in patch for FC...

DCS: Key Command List Chinese Edition Released!
Renato71 replied to 3GOCHN-443's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Translating is not so much about knowledge of the foreign language. It requires nerves of steel, huge dosage of patience and - if there are more people working on it - organization. Now, I'm not saying that I have the best solution, so keep my work in perspective. That way you will be able to spot my errors ;) Take your time to research CAT tools and their features. Some of them offer very advanced options of coordinating your work. I'm not gonna name any, as some of them are very expensive. You should try to arrange your work around html. All CAT work on a similar basis - they use certain (free or proprietary) tagging system to segment the text into sentences. Html is ideal format as it is based on tags, and most of CAT can work with html. Some of them work directly with html, some convert html into another format (again, free or proprietary). Advantage of this is that you will not have to "harras" your colleagues with demand to use certain CAT. They can use whatever they want, and on any OS they want. Here, I suggest studying more about XLIFF and gettext PO. These two are standard free formats for localization. They are indirect form of translating - you convert source into them, and then back into "usable" form. Advantage is that both of them are storing both source and the translation. This is what makes them so practical - you work with CAT A, you send your PO to another person, and he/she imports/opens it CAT B with no problems. There are plenty of forums around with great advices and tutorials for translators. Invest some time into searching them - your work will gain more pace and quality. Will talk more about this when ED release English manual :D -
Thanks Vyrtuoz!

Russian version of DCS: Black Shark Digital Download Availability
Renato71 replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Indeed, Wags said that Russian version will be available on Eagle website and 1C Online store, and soon. Keeping that in mind, it is wise to wait until it appears on ED site, and forget about 1C. -
Russian version of DCS: Black Shark Digital Download Availability
Renato71 replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I hope that the question regarding availability of downloadable Russian version will not be eventually answered in the same manner as availability of hard copy: "Yes, there is download option. Yes, it cannot be purchased outside of CIS." And that the reason why it cannot be purchased outside of CIS is because they do not accept your form of payment. According to Methods of the payment it looks like they accept only: - Bank transfer through any bank, which acts in the territory of Russia - online 1C card - SMS payment - WebMoney - Yandeks.Dengi I think that I cannot add funds to WebMoney from my country, and that it is the same with Yandeks? Anybody ever used any of those two? Outside of CIS... -
Question about activating multiple orders
Renato71 replied to Renato71's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I got info from someone else that said how he ordered several copies of download version using single account in ED webshop, and then he forwarded actiovation codes. Is the procedure for Western download release be the same as for FC? -

Question about activating multiple orders
Renato71 replied to Renato71's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Thanx, nscode - that was just the way I planned to do, just wanted some confirmation :) Thnx again! -
Sorry to bother with possibly answered question, but I was not able to find anything about an option to order more then one copy of downloadable version of DCS... Some of my buddies do not have credit cards and means to make international fund transfer. I'm willing to place a payment in their name, but I've never done something like that before (I did purchase some stuff from ebay, but in my name and delivered to my home address). What is preferable solution here? Can I buy, in my name, something like 5 copies of downloadable version and give the codes to them, or it is needed for them to register into online webshop by themselves? If later is preferable, can I place a payment into thier name? This question is not strictyl related to Russian version of DCS. They are more interested into English version and are willing to wait (strange, but true, hehe). Thanks in advance

DCS: Key Command List Chinese Edition Released!
Renato71 replied to 3GOCHN-443's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Well, I used translation tool (Trados), and I already had about third of text from before :D If you plan to translate DCS manual into one of Chinese languages (hah - I know there are more then one ;) ), I strongly recommend CAT programs - Computer Aided Translation. They make your work much faster, and - even more importantly - it is much easier to stick to the terminology when there are more then one persons working on a translation. There are many CAT apps to choose from, some are free, and some are extremely expensive. For manual on its own, you can use almost any CAT, as long as you transform PDF into something more flexible. There is Open Language Tools that runs on Java, but I do not have much experience with that one. It transforms any document into XLIFF, then you translate using that format, and when you're done revert it back into original form. https://open-language-tools.dev.java.net/ There are CAT tools for Linux as well. I mention this as there are ways to extract text into gettext PO file, and there are CAT that work quite good with PO. And, transforming any text into PO (or XLIFF) is sometimes easier on Linux. Here you can find an extensive list to choose from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer-assisted_translation If some CAT does not support doc files, you can always create html file to work with. This is very handy as you can upload your work to a website, where people can follow your progress more easily and help with error checking. Some time ago I created something along that line: http://lockonhr.com/flightmanual/index.htm Bare in mind, above is completely unformatted text, and its sole purpose is to have translated content online to be formatted later on. HTML files were created on the fly, from Word, and html code is extremely dirty. Also, only chapters with orange highlight are translated, and not all are uploaded. -

Few square kilimeters around one base? Much smaller map and no AI aircraft? Only way to keep the size down. -
DCS: Key Command List Chinese Edition Released!
Renato71 replied to 3GOCHN-443's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Congrats on your work. I was able to translate both files, key commands and hotas chapter into Croatian within 4 hours, on my own ;) (check the dates/times: http://lockonhr.com/forum/index.php?topic=900.msg3239#msg3239 http://lockonhr.com/forum/index.php?topic=900.msg3243#msg3243 ) -
Russian Flight Manual uploaded by Chizh
Renato71 replied to EagleEye's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I think that a reference about 500-some page manual is about English version of the manual. If you compare Russian one with HOTAS pages, you will see that chapter numbers for HOTAS do not match. This Russian part covers Ka-50 only, like Flying manual. The rest could be about the game itself (Quick start).
