Dcs has no competition. Unless your into flying a bus for hours? Not me and everyone i know with our online players 100s. Dont get me wrong, great for irl civi training. Not combat, combat systems and weapons. Sync weather for acm etc etc. Also flight models, especially choppers. You also missed. Its that good (seen by other military's) they are flooded with contacts. So these upgrades might get paid for by them etc. I mean thats why ED is able to still do all this.

I only use the modifier on the throttle (You can add a joystick button to each profile). I only use this for a few things and on the same keys for many aircraft to keep it simple as possible. Flaps, gear, air to air, air to ground etc. I only use the modifier(Button hold) not switch. You can remap the other keys you don't change, so they do the same thing with the modifier (Button hold). That would mess me up tho. Would rather it simple. Also welcome to the forum Raptire, Have you got a HOTAS (Stick and throttle?) I highly recommend it, so you can start learning with muscle memory. These days YOU have a small choice if you don't like how YOUR particular economy is run and money is getting weaker etc. Many got decimated in the run up to 2008 by greed and corruption of (Insert economy). You only have to look at Iceland before then and their banks / government greed and corruption destroyed it. Also, Look at diversifying how / where / what your "money sits in" and what it will be worth at a later date. Take Greeks for an example This day and age "everyone" is trying to workout where / what should they keep there "Value" in. With the US printing trillions and the DXY falling, many are going to gold, silver, bitcoin so at the end...? it's still worth X amount to buy X amount. We need better world systems that can help the least among us. I have very high hopes for better decentralized systems to replace these greedy corrupt systems that only suit the really rich that keep bailing out there mates. Do some research for yourself and think about where / what you should SAVE your money up in. It doesn't have to be Lira. Then buy your parts at the end of the year with hopefully more value in those savings.

Most of the missiles are being updated. AIM-120, SD-10 first etc. The R-77 is quite bad / limited, from what I see online. Very short range at the moment. Don't think it's very correct, not researched tho.

All the simulations are taken as far as possible of course. It's still not the real dynamic thing, so never 100% (Edge of flight envelope) on a home pc. Some seem to think you can achieve. It's still the best on the market by far and possibly as good or better as D level sims irl. These guy's talk about how there million dollar mill sims were still not quite right. There seems to be a few vocal military pilots that think DCS on a (home pc) should be as good or better than the sims they used in the military, without the budget.

Yep, trim, trim and trim. You have been to spoiled. Trim her good then use the 3 different autopilot settings for a little hands-off. Add some curves to your controls, unless using an extension etc. Axis tuning

SSD Windows install would be good. If not you will see a big load time difference with DCS / page file on it and be smoother. Some get stutters on normal slow drives. New GPU, that GPU is holding you way back. That CPU is still good for a 1080ti or 2070 super etc. I run the 7700K still with 1080ti and hold 60 fps locked 99.9% of the time max settings @ 1440P. Also, remember pilots don't go from training manual and sim to F/A-18. They are real real good pilots (Flying, navigation etc) first in small aircraft for years. Then learn old school ways in small aircraft etc. Now this is up to "THE USER" if they want to lean the real way or (Old School, WW2 style first) to really get it. Use the L-39 or ww2 aircraft for an example and practice there first. Then use the fancy stuff that would come later for real pilots. The piloting stuff is second nature, now lean to deploy this X weapon platform in battle. Most want to skip all that and shoot the gun and fire mav's lol. Reminds me when I was using CH Manager way back, now CH Throttle and VKB. I did have a few different macro's setup for Flare / chaff for the FC3 Aircraft tho, when using the manager. What the OP described, is pretty much the inbuilt macro.

If you plan on many aircraft, keep them all very similar use case. If you have HOTAS (Throttle and stick) why macro's? Think in the long term here. Are you planning on HOTAS or have one? HOTAS and Trackir is a game changer, same with VR. You can fly and get quite good if you keep the muscle memory similar for all aircraft. Everything is close to what it is for the real jet on HOTAS, then I only use a modifier button assigned in DCS to my throttle (pinky button). When this is held ALL the buttons on the stick and throttle can do other things........? I only use the modifier for very basic used all the time items. Flaps, gear turn radar silent multiplayer etc. Other wise it's trackir, see button and click button. The checklist is a back up when flying. I need to visually scan and click, this comes back to muscle memory (If in the real thing switch) Or visual click memory here. The only real way to get that physical memory is to build a pit. That's also in game and allowed on many servers and aircraft. (Hold Left windows + Home key) = Inbuilt Auto Start DCS macro.

Micro jitters These are from the polling rate with Trackir. 30, 60, 120 To me it makes a difference locking the Sim to 60 FPS and hold if you can do it. You can test it using the new NVIDIA control panel (Max frame rate) setting. This is way it looks like locked for me.

Agree:thumbup: The initial outlay is the killer if wanting good fps in any sim. My 1080ti was over $1000 AUD:cry:. Few years back and not upgrading, well not yet, she is still real good at 1440P and rift. The new cards are cRazy. 2080ti is near 2K in AUD. Started with cheap CH throttle and stick. Slowly upgraded over the years. Now running a VKB $500 AUD and monstertech mounts mounts etc. Not a lot of $ if done over a few years for a hobby. There are plenty of hobby's that cost way more. Was into RC planes at one point way back, that was more expensive depending on what you wanted to fly, how many and nitro fuel.

That was just a bit of political bs. You can get the real manuals and or PDF's, just not send them out of the country by law etc.
