Edit: I researched it a bit more and stars and galaxies only redshift (or blue shift if moving towards you) because the actual space time is being stretched, motion never causes doppler effects in light waves only the stretching of space-time between the source and the observer. “That as light travels through space and space expands, it causes the wavelength of that very light to expand, too.   3. You could go into the mission and try lowering the hinds AI. Last night I was getting spanked over and over again by a pair of apaches.
  4. Im at work ATM so can't watch the track. Are you turning on the engine generator limiters at startup (switches on the right near the rear)?
  5. Yeah well IR signitures are not quited modeled in the sim, it just cheats and locks onto any live units of buildings.
  6. IRL I think they call it "going wild" it caused a few blue on blue (friendly fire) issues in the first Gulf War. Not sure if it is modeled in DCS, you could have locked the pylon by accident.

  10. sweet! I was thinking about how to do this today.Is the force feedback still strong enough to move the stick much? does it make it any easier to fly, does it make aerial refueling a doddle?:pilotfly:
  11. you can set multiple key commands to do the same thing, so v and f could open and close the fuel door. But unless it is coded as sepeate buttons I think it would be hard ( maybe possible with .lua???, not by me ) In the logitech profiler (that I use, (a little)) you can set cycling commands so the first time you press the a button it would activate the sensativity and the second time you press it would deactivate it.

  13. Yeah but the frame rate and sensor resolution are much better with TrackIr 5 and it is already implemented and works great, I’m not saying it won't happen or couldn't be useful. Someone might integrate Kinect it with FreeTrack or build something similar to FreeTrack. I don't think we will see official support for ED as they are already partnered with TrackIr
  14. The texture file version of this: I am making a Touch Ir Profile and want to use the original textures but I just can't find this one in A-10C-CPT-BOARD-R-01.dds or A-10C_boards-Ir.dds. where the rest of the textures are. Can anyone see it? or know where else it might be?
  15. The sound quality is so bad, it seems the gun firing is way to loud for the crappy cheap cameras microphone.
  16. They don't "defy physics" they have their own rocket motor engines. It depends on which CBU you use they have different sub-munitions the CBU-97/CBU-105 contains the BLU-108 sub-munitions, which releases Skeet penetrators that use infrared and lasers sensors to search for targets and shoot a copper penetrator though the top of the target. (they are very cool weapons) setting Higher hight of function HOF will give you a wider dispertion. If no targets are detected the sub-munition will self destruct. Where as the CBU-87 contains BLU-97/B sub-munitions which don't have rocket motors or intelligent IR seeking skeet penetrators, they basically just release 202 grenades

  19. A friendly F-15 fired a heat seeking missile at a helicoptor and I flew between the two and the missile started tracking me, it didn't actualy hit me but I had to take evasive manoeuvres.
  20. Turning textures to medium makes a massive difference in the smoothness to me, I have nearly everything else set to high and even the lod multiplier to x5
  21. yeah I had a similar problem, I think it is a bug, if I remember correctly it didn't like having numerical numbers in the command name eg "5" try chaning it to "five" and see if it fixed it. It did for me.

  23. I have been getting back into DCS A10 alot more recently. There is already a preaty good Touch control pit for DCS A10C Site: http://www.ipadpit.nl/ Forum post: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=71068 I have been modifiying Ghost Units touch IR profile to animate alot more of the switches, I havn't released anything yet. I want to try and make a fully animated CDU Next. I havent had that much time to work on it becasue I have moved house.
  24. Well if only DCS planes can receive electronic data from the JATC thats fine, because most of the planes in FC3 are older and don't have the systems to receive data, they will still get the co-ordinates and talk on over the radio, so that would be most realistic.
  25. With combined arms supporting human JTAC's and controlling ground forces maybe ED are already working on something like this? Otherwise Flaming cliffs 3 planes won't be able to be used in conjunction with Combined Arms.
