  1. That frequency is definitely VHF, which is AM. The FM radios are not normally used for ATC because they don't have very good range. ATC functions are normally carried out on UHF or VHF radios and are AM.
  2. Do you have a full moon by any chance?
  3. Is it possible to get the helicopters to spawn onto their deck edge positions instead of the centerline of the deck??
  4. Just curious about the difference between the Tpod we have now and the ATFLIR that will go on the cheek station. Will the display look different? Will it be more capable or operate differently in some way from the one we have now?
  5. Thank you SkateZilla. That is exactly what I was asking about. Additionally, I believe that Wags had mentioned that ED planned to redoing the 3D model of the Viking as part of this "upgrade" to air to air refueling. Just curious about where they are with this.
  6. The new S-3B Viking model and the improved physics model for AAR?
  7. Essex class or Enterprise, I sure hope that those antennas fold down for flight ops! :pilotfly:
  8. It absolutely is worth it!! I'd go so far as to say that it is definitely worth the full price as it is right now with the couple of warts that it still has. You'll not be disappointed with the purchase of this module.
  9. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3612756&postcount=1
  10. I sure hope that they get the helicopter spawn points fixed!!
  11. I am pretty sure that if you have the cloud cover set to 9 or 10, the carrier will have its navigation and deck edge lights on at all times and will turn the landing area lights on when contacted for landing.
  12. Very nicely done indeed!
  13. Still no mention in the update log of having fixed the A-A-R for the Viper. Has anyone tried to refuel after taking off from a base?
  14. They probably haven't put it up on their server yet. Patience my young Pad Wan
  15. I just love it when I learn something new!! Thanks guys
  16. I don't believe that this feature is implimented just yet. At least not in the Hornet anyway.
  17. Better than I can do!
  18. Weren't they also going to redo the S-3B Viking specifically for tanking the F/A-18??
  19. First off, thanks for making this post to gather our feedback. Hopefully we'll see something come of it. 1. The thing about the DCS world is that it is so beautiful and there are so many static objects that only enhance it's dynamic feeling of realism, but it is so freaking difficult to place them correctly!! Please give us the ability to zoom in close enough to put us in the 3D environment while still in the ME so we can see how an object is placed on the actual terrain and be able to manipulate it. Presently, one must save, start the mission and search for the object you have just placed so you can look at it to see if you have it right or if it is sitting on a 45 degree slope. Then go back into the ME to make a change, then rinse and repeat. This is an incredibly tedious task. 2. Weather - I'm not asking for anything like dynamic weather but at least allow the mission builder to decide where they want fog or clouds rather then having it blanket to entire map. Allow us to "paint" an area with clouds and/or fog and with varying elevations. At the very least, how about giving us several layers of clouds instead of just one? 3. Wind - could you allow us to decide for ourselves what the spread is between surface wind and 1600 feet? Could you portray the wind as it is throughout the entire aviation world, as the direction it is blowing from, rather than the direction it is blowing to? 4. As others have mentioned, there has been a grass airfield in the ME for quite some time, how about letting us use it? 5. Allow us to place a plane anywhere as a spawn point for a client. I would ask about the carrier but I am aware of the changes coming to that environment so I won't waste any of your time on that. 6. Last but not least, give us the ability to adjust the height (elevation) of some of the objects such as smoke so we can place it on the top of a smoke stack or lights to place on an antenna. Of course, this last request wouldn't be worth messing with unless the first request were granted!
  20. The DCS Warbirds may well become quite popular in MP once there are more things with which to to aid in our suspension of disbelief, such as what Rudel is asking for.
  21. Thanks Greyman.
  22. I have seen the same thing on the Hornet in MP.
  23. Is the air to air refueling still broken for the F-16?
  24. I never realized that Grumman had a watch maker on staff!! :megalol:
  25. Although I heartily agreed with the suggestion for the P-61, my vote would go towards a late model Chance Vaught Corsair. Either the F4U-4 or -4B. The -4 did make it into the tail end of WWII and played a key role in the Korean War as did the -4B. I am aware that Magnitude is making the F4U-1D but there are huge differences between that and the -4(B) that I am voting for. A CVE to go with it would be awesome!!
