you "never" but "should" ... In this world advocated as DCS World things can be simulated up to a point. Then there are some levers that mission designers "should" pull to try to achieve a result as close to real life as possible. "Skill level" is indeed one of those levers you "should" consider using it. On another hand.. i'm not by far any military specialist, not even close.... but changing RCS for a missile up to a point which makes it virtually invisible to radars, cannot fall on the other side of reality ? ... by making it actually invulnerable? -
This is my take for MI24P. Even not within your declared special attention, I still think this will stand out as one of the best real design for a Mi24P. VeticalT theme was used in real life on an airshow. The attention to detail I've put on this skin was tremendous. Aligning all the shapes at the level that can be seen on screenshots below took me so much time, but the result I think will please you. My preference was to have a factory new look, however if requested I may apply to weathering to it. @currenthill thank you for your hard work updating the swedish pack as well. Can you please help us update the configuration for your assets SAMs for Mantis(moose) as well please? I am attaching here the current configuration. I suppose that it need to change the suffix for sweedish pack as well as I think there is a good number of new assets to be added. Either not installed correctly from file path perspective, or they are conflicting with other mods (most probably). Disable all other mods and retry! -

This is one of the best standalone scripts for DCS and an interesting alternative to the better known CTLDs (mist or moose) by simple fact that troops can now be transported by both heli and vehicles ... to detail a bit more the author's description. Thank you @Kappa for sharing your work with us. If in the future you might think about tuning it, maybe you would consider some more seamless integration with Moose CTLD by using "inject" function instead normal spawn. Other than that one of the best script to spice our missions.- 1 reply

@Urbi have you had a bad night buddy? What's to be so hatred having a discussion? CH transparency was always spot on. He never claim he modeled the 3D stuff. And also spent a lot of his own money and time for making those available in DCS... why are you so black hearted about this? .. Actually I don't care why you are acting like that, but definitely you may hold your horses ... So, I do really apologize creating this debate... -

@currenthill patch after patch is obvious that even your passion and determination in getting things done might fade way, as seems like it begins to be a full time job only fixing the current assets. How can we help you as your supporters? Kind of signing an open letter asking ED to consider your assets as part DCS core, similarly with the Massun92? I suppose also could be good enough if ED could at least provide you some of the tools as an "official moder" . Any other ideas? -
@Pikey I reckon ED team is receiving a lot of issues reports from most of us, however ED team have to reckon the reporting source. In this case is Applevangelist which at the moment is one of the best in understanding low level scripting and behavior in DCS, not mentioning he is the main lead of MOOSE framework. In these cases where reporting sources are well known subject matter experts, you might need to add this in your report and prioritize accordingly. Please work with the team and get this type of reporting on a dedicated resolution process. @BIGNEWY @NineLine Thank you!

ED made somewhere a comment about skidding... they might look into, but is not something they've implemented. Whatever you got in your demo is not really relevant.

By far no! ED is mutually benefiting from CH mods... Is just they are continuously adjusting/correcting their sandbox. Maybe one day as others said, they will realize and support CH in his endeavor -

I am glad at least SAMs could be fixed "easily". Or better, if you ask me... you might want to wait until end of June as there might be another 2 updates, and I have a guess they will be quite big... this is just to not work too many times on same issue. -

While is not a real practice to change assets names even in mods... this time I think Massun did it just because they've ultimately made it in DCS Core. Your work must be redone, but this time you'll bee using the DCS core assets so that the chances to be broken a second time are minimal...- 529 replies

This for sure is not be the ultimate problem for CH mods not getting ever official as Massun's. The main difference in here is the fact that CH is using pre-build 3D models which have various "legal terms" attached. Those are not preventing the free usage as it is right now, but once they will arrive in a commercial product like DCS World is, those terms will prevent publishing and will go into some legal stuff. And also we need to know the CH throw a big pack of money and time on them just to make them free for us! -
Hello ED team, I would like to highlight one "small" issue regarding possibility of train spawning during gameplay. So, if a train is set as "late activate", it is not spawning at all. If I am keeping a train alive during mission start, DCS is replacing it with a Leopard unit :), with the following message in logs: ERROR woCar (Main): Unit Train is unknown , replaced with Leopard-2 Need to add that I am using MOOSE framework for this and other units are spawned correctly, only trains are having this behavior. The error message above is not MOOSE related but looks like a DCS generated one. Are at the moment any viable options to spawn trains during gameplay?
