Maybe it was a defect on the Kh-58 and MPU-25 on those serial number slots they sell to you. :smartass: Seriously, read your post again and think if anyone ever can help you with that information! :music_whistling: Version, situation, track. Simple as that. Regards.

Hi guys, I have to say that 1.5 is great all around but I have some great issues regarding DCS 1.5. My PC struggles to perform under certain circumstances, mainly MP flying, usually when getting hit my a missile, or turning my head, etc, I have this huge lags that prevent me from doing anything. I have uploaded my settings and my PC specs are as follow: ASUS P5Q-PRO E8400 @ 3.00GHz 4 GB DDR2 DC @ 533 MHz (I have 2Gb x 4 (8Gb) Black Dragon PC2 6400 800Mhz but I've never used it, probably I would see a difference. NVIDIA GF GTX 660 2 Gb SB X-Fi Audio TIR4 X52+Pedals Win 7 64 bits Do you guys recommend another settings, should I downgrade it? When I fly around alone I have great FPS unless I fly low and close to trees, there I have HUGE lag and breaks, usually I get blown up by the ground. Best regards and thank you in advance.

A version of the AH-64, S and W version of the AH-1, UH-1version N, Mi-28 version N, Mi-24 version V or P. And off course, if ever done the AH-64 A please make sure you make an OH-58 D. Another helicopter I would like to see is Lynx.

They work for me. I don't have any problem.

Hi there, I have some problems with DCS CA. I've installed it but when I try to control a vehicle, I have a message that CA is not active so I cannot control the vehicle. I am running the latest version (as of this day 13OCT2015). I tried to remove and reinstall the module but I have the same error again. In case there is a need of more information, please let me know. Regards.

Only if there are assets available for CSAR. Else I would use that handgun on the pilot! :P

Is there any possibility of having rain effects on the canopy when it's raining in the new engine? That would greatly increase the immersion of the sim. http://youtu.be/PZCt5I6daOg A link to have an idea of the visibility issues that rain can cause. In my RL experience flying helicopters it's even more difficult sometimes.

Thanks for the reply HiJack, so, what I have to do is install the World Beta in Laptop, and then transfer all the content (folders and files) from the Laptop to the respective DCS World Beta folder on the PC? So that will work? I mean, the installer will recognize that all the files are updated? Thank you.

I have a question. Maybe it was answered before but I don't see any of this information in the Changelog. What kind of changes were made to the weather system? Regards

Hi all, I have currently a desktop PC (gaming PC) and a Laptop (working Laptop). The problem is that in my house (desktop PC) I don't have a really good internet, mainly I have an internet pen (5 Mbps with download limit of 6Gb/month) which is not good at all to make large downloads. Yet with my Laptop I have unlimited downloads with 20 Mbps. The problem is I have World Beta in PC, meaning that I cannot upgrade it with the loader for the new 1.5 version. Is there a way to download 1.5 with the Laptop and then transfer the download for the PC in order to make a smaller download in the limited internet? Thank you for your help and I hope I have made myself clear enough. Kind regards.

That is in fact the wind sound that is produced in the cockpit. Sometimes is much larger than the engine itself. But for all the matters that's why the pilot have a little handy thing called helmet! Or else it would suffer in the medical examinations in the earring department! :D

Why is the Mig-29 update taking so long? Enjoy the video.

Trees Visibility to AI Units Hi there guys, At the moment, are trees any good for helicopter cover, NOE style? Or the ground AI can see through trees? For DCS World 2, will trees have any impact on this? Thank you. Regards.

Question, how did you turn on that gun camera? Nice videos BTW.

Mi-8 main rotorhead and tail rotor animation
Focha replied to Hueyman's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
You do realize that the most realistic simulators around the world doesn't even have a 3D model of the aircraft? I am sure you do. But I just wanted to say it anyway. I am a real world helicopter pilot and I have never saw my swash plate move. :) At least when I'm in. Cheers -
Sure is, that as time passes and evolution grows our loved photos got more bright, more focused hence less blurred, have more contrast, HDR and so on, but along with all the digital world capabilities we lost some truth in photography because we can simply import the photo on a program and edit what we want. The other day I stumbled across a photo from a Gripen and I thought it was a really great paint until I found the, what I presume to be, original one. You are forgiven Polaroid, Pentax, Leica...

DCS: F-14A/A+/B by Heatblur Simulations coming to DCS World!

Thank you. Great knowledge you have. Can you tell me just one more thing please, where did that information appeared? Who was responsible for ID? Thank you. -
DCS: F-14A/A+/B by Heatblur Simulations coming to DCS World!
Focha replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
So... By the look of the renders it seems to be a F-14 late A model, with GE engines and this one fitted with TCS. Can anyone explain me what was the TCS for? Some versions also had the IR Seeker, can someone elaborate on this two systems? How were those systems employed? Thank you. -
This does not make sense. First, why split the simulation in two when you can have both. Second, because that would translate in more complex code. Third, sooner or later all modules have sales, having its prices really low. For me it doesn't make any sense, but that is just me.

DCS: F-14A/A+/B by Heatblur Simulations coming to DCS World!
Focha replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I am 28 yeas old. Top Gun was in theaters in the year of 1986 (the year I was born). I watch it later (as far I remember with 6 y-o) bur probably I viewed it earlier since I recall to see the Gulf war apaches in TV I surely saw Top Gun earlier. So... Thank you. I've been waiting for the ultimate experience of flying an F-14. Take your time and do one of the best modules for DCS (I know you'll deliver since you already done so). OH YEAH! I FEEL THE NEED, THE NEED FOR SPEED! -
Honestly I don't use the vertical view camera. And normally in real life (except some long line work where you use vertical references) you would have a load officer giving you directions. If you observe how PAPI lights work, it seems to me that they change based at where you are (vertical position relative to PAPI, maybe some function of height/distance). Knowing that I can conceive that based on your position (x,y,z) referenced to an object, lets say a infantry man with the proper animations, the animations would be different for that x, y and z relative position. So for example, if you were a few meters above cargo, the object i.e. the infantry model, would give you arms down, when you were at the right position (again, x,y,z) the model would be static. Obviously that this infantry model (simulating the load officer) should be also placed according with the cargo load model. Hard to follow but I think you guys understand what I'm saying. Cheers.

Yes, I know, I am not requesting it ASAP, just a thought I had the other day while viewing some videos.

Are there any plans to upgrade the DCS ground units with different kind of damage taken? For example tank turrets flying, tracks going off, truck breaking apart, engines flying away... etc. That would be cool to see instead of just smoke and some fire. ${1} https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUMxZ34Ptco

Hi all, I've been playing with suspended cargo and I find it really difficult to stay in hover in some areas where there is not many references to have reference in the hover. So, with this in mind, is there any way of implementing a sling load officer? Like infantry but stationary with the arms giving you reference to the helicopter position? Probably it's not hard to implement that and would help a lot, this could be put in reference to the load, like a position feature (example PAPIs or air-to-air refueling reference lights). What are your thoughts? Thank you. Regards.
