  2. Hi Chichco, Thanks for posting a fixed version, unfortunately I can't test it at the moment. I lost update motivation since static objects became troublesome in DCS from december 2014 onwards. I like to pickup DCS (and scripting) next september when 2.15 is released. Cheers, . :thumbup:
  3. Great initiative. Compliments for all who took the time to make this stream happen. The few random imperfections during the live presentation where perfect and made it better then edited. I like the professional desaturated graphic style ED uses and find it nice to see it still does. just one comment.. The feel of soft edges in the landscapes are they due to coarse structured tesselation or low contrast textures? Thanks and I hope you will stream again! .
  4. I agree with you Wolle and sometimes I think. With the timepaths DCS sets the danger is the technology environment (VR, Os, directX) develops faster then the 2.0 sim progresses. They have to make the current content functional and that has grown the last year and seems to be growing behind the scene, that in itself is not helping either. They created a framework-monster wandering over deadlines, that they have to tame. But one day it's our joy. .

  6. True and the refund is an insentive to buy other software. I am not cynical.:) Its a benefit for all not only the customer. .
  7. It should be read as marketing. - It feels positive and customer frienly. - It lowers the threshold to buy when hesitating. In the back of your head you now have the argument of returning the software. - From the hesitating customers that click buy and don't like the product. Only a limited percentage will ask for a refund. - Netto this formula generates more sells. .
  8. Hi Fakum, If I see your system specs. I imagine you have administrator rights on your pc. That makes your question hard to answer. So I PM you whith a link so you can download the whole modified UH-1H-CPT-TEXTURES.zip from my personal online space. 54mb. I remove it in a day though. Hope It helps. " " .. _b) return _answer end And fire your init.lua as an initialization script (bottom option in triggers) Or do all scripting including functions in one file. Is the coreData.lua file in your .miz file? (open with a .zip program) :)
  11. Just for inspiration. This might look a bit low tech but it is an interesting low cost solution for creating a short throw wide angle (even 180 degree) projection. It is something I like to do with my beamer but never did... But one day I will. .

  13. With my subnormal intelligence, I see slingLoad behaves as if some object properties of the item cargo is not updated properly to a more general table nescessary for other functions? If it's just .lua call some file names and who knows.. We are motivated to make stuff for this brilliant game. Push us in the direction of the cause of this malfunction and maybe we can create our own temporary quickfix. If it's cause is embedded in an untweakable .dll. So be it and I patently wait another 3 months. Whatever it is, it is always nice to hear some reaction of a knowledgeable dev. .

  15. I so much would like to read regularly about 2.0 and where they stand and what are the issues, for the feel of progression and out of interest. But after reading a few pages deep into this thread I now understand that it easily could be a waiting game till the next half of 2015 and in doing so dragging current bugs further into the future. Without knowing what bugs are classified as important enough to be fixed before 2.0. That way Dcs 1.0 is being crippled into a slow frustrating death. With some blips of life by introducing new planes that function as if it's LockOn+. .

"good" mission making would be better with some dedicated DCS support. - DCS could set a new created mission in the spotlight every "month or 3 months". - Take mission making slightly more serious by better communication about bugs. Currently missions can die after a patch without knowing if there will ever be a fix. - Keep the creative spirit high somehow? I can imagine crowdsourcing could make DCS even better. On a personal level. I like - A self explanatory mission setup - Replayability by randomness of the same occurrences - Multiplayer missions - Details often make the difference - In scripts; interesting constructions and creative solutions. - Foremost enjoyable .

With regards to the Cargo AND the Bug you refer too, is that why I don't seem to ever get paid for the cargo ? yes. cargo and scripts do not work since patch 1.2.12 I have flown several cargo loads which I place near the big hanger. I usually place it within a few feet of the Truck and/or Soldier that is parked/standing in front of the hanger opening. I have hovered there and landed there and waited and waited and waited some more .. without getting any indication of ever being paid for it. You did perfect. Sorry it is not working as suppost to at the moment. :cry_2:

  22. Hi Snowtiger, The general idea is a freeflight non-militairy mission (MP) where there are things to do with a reward. Playerscore For completing tasks you get payed. With F10 you can see the players results. Your saldo is saved during the mission. If you disconnect and return at a later stage your saldo will still be there. Pickup passengers They flare if they see you. Land or hover close to a passenger and they will embark. You can pickup max. 3 passengers at at a time then bring them to heliport Madrid. There are 14 pickup locations. Cargo transport Cargo is of random weight and need to be delivered at the big hanger on either airport. Stay with your cargo untill rewarded. Cargo from farther pays better. There are 18 slingload locations Find stolen vehicles They have an ARC FM beacon and spawn random on the map. Follow them closely to get your reward. Meeting point From here you can organize a group flight (or fly solo) and you receive a bonus if you fly from the meeting point to Krymsk. The mission is not working properly. The problem is the cargo-object is broken since 1.2.12? And it's DCS so it will be fixed when it's ready... Without bitterness. I was planning to update voices and already started to create races and added cargo transports without slings (also for wings).   24. Can you please confirm that your logic is working with the CA module joining units as a commander also??? Negative. I don't have Combined Arms. Isn't it unlogic that players joining units as commanders cannot be identified through the unit:getPlayerName() Positive. The player-object should have a name. Then I fear your question remains.. I had issues with S_EVENT_PLAYER_ENTER_UNIT in the passed and was hoping S_EVENT_BIRTH would catch your commander today. :cry:
