Afterburner cut-off switch not functional?
Amarok_73 replied to Amarok_73's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Hello, thanks for response. That's quite hillarious situation then, but I'll try to elaborate as @renhanxue is asking as good as I can being away from my home computer, and using the screenshot from the Chuck's guide (pages 133, 143). So there is the switch: He have it's controls mapping available with "afterburner" in the name (don'r remember whole name, but it's easy to spot). Around two or three patches ago it was working OK, cutting off the afterburner with both, mapped control and the mouse click on this switch in the cockpit. Now it doesn't react on mouse as well as mapped control. -
Afterburner cut-off switch not functional?
Amarok_73 replied to Amarok_73's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
I'd appreciate if anyone could confirm or negate at least my observation. -
Are You testing it on the mission, where start time is set to early morning, when the sun is low over the horizon?
-
Is it just me, or the afterburner cut-off switch is not functional? It is not reacting on mouse clicks, nor the mapped keyboard/joystick buttons...

+1, and additionally, when operating from the carrier deck, there appears annoying FLOLS reflections on the edges of the picture.

Hello, I'd like to ask if anybody else noticed such a problem, that when flying with live RIO, the datalink from the airborne AWACS is not appearing, while contacts returned from the Ships shows momentarly, then dissapear? This have no place when flying with artificial RIO. EDIT: It seems, that datalink frequencies in RIO kneepad are not the ones that should be used Sand Devil 18_2(Day).miz

@FlappieI am sorry to say, but whether the mirrors are turned on or off, the flickering still occurs.

And CPU in my case.

Hello, I have noticed, that to what I read in some old thread about countermeasures and Viggen, the AI planes don't require the countermeasure probe to be able to dispense chaffs. Is it bug, or Viggen have internal CM system?

Hello, I'd like to ask if this is normal, that Force Feedback trim is applied when taking RIO position? This causes that HCU and LANTIRN center positions are affected what causes some problems especially in LANTIRN as it is required to fight the force to keep the sensor centered on the locked target.

[NO BUG] Antenna elevation axis gone after update
Amarok_73 replied to m4ti140's topic in Resolved Bugs
No way! Indeed, the elevation axis has gone! And what will I fly now!? Oh, wait... I forgot that I still have F-14, where developers don't have problem with the customers requiring such a little things that might be not so real, but improve the playablity, like button activated afterburner, similar way as F-18 where ED have implemented option for (OMG!!!) NON-REALISTIC TDC slew. But wait, look there in the M-2000 specials, what does the options for non-realistic frequency repeater or VTB cone of vision? And there's still place for another option, like "Non-realistic" rotary steered radar antena elevation! Yeah... the Specials Section for almost every mod contains something that increases the number of happy customers/users of these mods. Seriously, devs, please return the option to bind the elevation to rotary as it was since... always? For sure customers will be gratefull especially taking in account that the rest of changes apparently shows that someone is a good thinker in Your company. -
Hello, I'd like to ask if is it noticed and confirmed what me and my pilot observe, that since last update there's problem with landing on carrier with live RIO. It seems like even with ideal approach parameters the effect of landing is that the wire is dragged out from the deck and plane can't stop. This is not an issue when landing with Jester though. EDIT: We have narrowed it down, and it seems that it happens only when RIO is watching the plane from external view or LSO position.
-
Pity. It was a fun challenge and a nice change from the monotony of regular landings.

Enhanced Gamemaster Script: Zeus, but for DCS
Amarok_73 replied to CakeSorbus's topic in Mission Editor
Hi, Could anyone enlighten me please, how to prevent the group to gather in one place after it's spawned? As example, I have SCUD group, that is spread around in about 1 mile diameter. When spawned, all the vehicles and infantry are relocating coming near the first vehicle. I have defined this group also as the template and set it's default formation to be based on it as well, as added the Hold task to the initial waypoint with template set to this group's template , but effect is still the same. -
Entering coordinates for Mariana Islands

Thanks for this tip, but better feeling from "cheating the cheater" is not the reward I am looking for -
Entering coordinates for Mariana Islands
Amarok_73 replied to Amarok_73's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Yep, indeed it has. Writing that statement I was at the very beginning of Chuck's manual. Now I am after it, and I can even sometimes destroy OHPs that provides the cover for an aircraft carrier. Very rewarding feeling. The only drawback is, that I fly alone, as there seems not to be many of fans of this plane and I have no one to learn from nuances of effective usage of it. However so far I mastered to shoot myself with RBS15. -
@FlappieFor me the easiest way to replicate is to put the carrier early morning, when the sun rises and is low over the horizon, so on the deck are lot of lights enabled, then look through the carrier into the sun. The second way is to look from the plane cockpit with the interior lights enabled into the sun that is low over the horizon.
-
@Flappie...one hour later... This is how it looks for me, in 0:42 starts the most intense flickering.
-
@FlappieYour flashing occurs the same time as in mine, but way less times than on my computer. These are not the moments when camera comes underwater. Sorry I'm not inclined to show the movie but I have the ADSL 12Mbit/700kbit, so it's quite a lot of waiting for any materials upload on the Youtube.
-
Heavy Flickering.zipHere You go, including the log file. It looks like multiple light sources, when are in line with the sun, causes such flickering.
-
@FlappieCould You and let us know if we can expect any correction of this issue, and in what timeframe? I have the problem on the non-overclocked hardware.
-
@EnablerAre You talking about such behavior?
