  1. so DCS is only starting in 2D for you, no matter what? you can always try going into your DCS \ bin (via command line), and then try: dcs.exe --force_enable_VR Not sure what you're asking though. the .dll you asked about, you have in the correct dir Edit: I'll look in a bit, but there's probably a setting somewhere in the DCS GUI to force VR. (honestly, I haven't flown pancake in so long, I need to look. It's probably right in front of my face within the menu's) Edit: look under the VR tab (of the options), to see if you have "enable virtual reality headset" still checked (sorry, just a stab...)
  2. I have the openvr_api.dll residing in the \dcs world open beta \bin dir
  3. confirmed, still see the blades as well (with MR always on).
  4. curious your API layers does not have XR_APILAYER_NOVENDOR_toolkit you're not using the toolkit?
  5. no worries, stick with OvGME. That's probably what folks should be using now, since it's newer. don't mind me...
  6. cool, thanks for the release heads up. I've downloaded 0.6.2 and converted to jsgme.. (yes, I'm old school)
  7. hola, did you do this? Make sure that WMRP -> Settings -> Startup & Desktop -> Automatic Start Up -> SteamVR automatic launch is unticked
  8. yes (for the 3090, see my specs in my sig). Working great, and I'm not going back to SteamVR. I'd been using OpenXR/Toolkit via M$F$, and so happy to see we have it now for DCS.
  9. there's a thread on the other WWII sim, regarding this. for M$F$, openXR/toolkit work like a champ
  10. kinda how I feel. Outta sight, outta mind... If it shows, it shows... otherwise, I'm flying and enjoying other birds.
  11. conducted multiple flights with 0.61, in the Apache (SP). Using SSA, no issues. OpenXR working great, no going back at this point.
  12. they sure do Don! you can't go wrong with VR Opticians. I've been using them in my G2 for the last 8 months. Highly recommended. Glad you're getting them for your Aero!
  13. me too, just as curious. I went the OpenXR route, and enjoying it with my 3090. Out of respect, this is his thread and it's been a great reference. So not trying to derail, (I'll post OpenXR over in that thread). thanks again SoH for this great reference thread, but really curious to hear your input.
  14. works fine for me, with the 0.6 version. Later today, I'll be checking out 0.61 I'm using the beta version of SSA. needing that to get the updates for the Apache.
  15. I concur. For those wanting it, great that it will be added. Without it, I've been following the same method. Multi, minor trims as I come in for the LZ. thank you ED for the add.
  16. this OpenXR sure works like a champ!
  17. awesome to hear OP! enjoy!
  18. I also had WMR set to not launch SteamVR, yet it still did. for me, it was this (not putting in the new openvr.dll)
  19. everything worked like a champ with my G2 setup. thank you, thank you!! Thank you OP!!!
  20. all I can say is that this is incredible. butter smooth flights in the Apache. Love it! thanks man!
  21. Whoa, I made these simple changes, and WOW! I've landed this bird 3 times in a row, no issue! incredible!
  22. working great now. it was the openvr.dll. I had translated your install in to JSGME compatible package. But like a dummy, my folder hierarchy was off by one level. I can confirm this is working wonderful! (I've been using the OpenXR toolkit with MSFS, and happy to see this setup now available for DCS). Many thanks!!!!!
