  1. true wonder whats the difference between a poor and a good load? then your install has an issue, my DCS loads everytime. Anyway, I don’t want to be tempted into reproaching you in the future, so will add you to the ignore list for a more enjoyable experience on this Forum.
  2. Another great video:
  3. Agree .. I love a fast startup as much as anyone, but choosing this kind of detail to gripe about when you are a newcomer to this Sim is a bit much ..
  4. It doesn't, its a matter of resources and a FF module producing income, vs an AI aircraft that people expects for free.
  5. unlikely, I expect the Mirage F1M to be released first ... looking forward to it
  6. Hi Mizzy, I doubt it. Heatblur promised a Draken AI as early as 2018, but it has not been seen yet after all this years: Edit: actually it was announced late on 2017, here: I had high hopes on a Draken user Mod that a group of Moders were developing, but unfortunately its progress stalled during 2024 ... it showed great promise and the Group had previously delivered the Saab Sk60, a high quality Mod.
  7. Ok, its been a while since I last adjusted this parameter, let me check it tonight and then I will get back.
  8. you are using values too large, they are in meters so 0.9 means you could move your head 90 centimeters back and 90 forward from your rest position, same for the other axes. Try to stay within 0.1 (10cm) of the default values.
  9. close to zero ... a Hawker Hunter or an EE Lightning would gather much greater interest (in my opinion, of course)
  10. agree, I'm more attracted by the F-104 paired with the Germany Map
  11. Yes, I intend to, but will start with the Rocket employment first and then dive bombing, which is more suitable for accurate bombing.
  12. The manual says "The Autopilot stabilization button-light (LV53) activates the “STABILIZATION” SAU mode, which dampens aircraft vibrations ..." so, the pressing this button alone only gives you a dampened flight stick, this is not the same as the "hold attitude" of other aircraft's AP. the manual goes on to add "and stabilizes current aircraft position if stick is relieved of forces (using trimmer) and not held." ... you can relieve the flight stick by pressing J once the LV53 is active ... at this point you will have the Attitude Stabilized (just the attitude, the aircraft may lose altitude if the bank or pitch-up is too much.
  13. one’s gotta love statements like this, generalities with zero proof .. only serves to have new users avoid the module, when in fact it can be a very entertaining and worthwhile experience, such a pity
  14. on my side , I will happily edit my own missions and/or modify missions of other aircraft to fit the new bird. I tried MP during a year and a half but eventually got tired of the rudeness of many players, guess I’m not social enough, as I seem to enjoy dcs best when flying alone with myself. I’m not nitpicking, but on dcs the ww2 modules are in the 40-50 us$ range. Simming as single player is much more than fliping switches on a cockpit, but I’m not trying to convince anyone, I intend to please just me. on dcs each developer has the freedom to pursue the aircraft they are passionate about, ED is not forcing any given theater on them, in fact only one ww2 aircraft seems to truly be an ED child (the mosquito), all others are from either 3rd parties or salvaged from the kickstarter.
  15. Yes, J only has effect when Stabilization mode is active. yes it's not the same, engaging just the Stabilization does not provide ATT hold. Why don't you simply test this yourself on a short flight? On the real MiG-21 the function is "release pressure on the stick" ... the simulator mimics it with the J keystroke.
  16. It means the J key tells the Simulator that your hands are no longer holding the flight stick. The Stabilize mode is just a way to smooth your flight stick commands to the control surfaces. If you are on this mode, and then put your aircraft in any arbitrary ATTitude, when you release the stick (actually press J, since the Sim has no way to detect if you are applying pressure on the stick or not), the SAU will keep the current ATTitude (as long as your airspeed allows)
  17. Well, it took the proverbial two-weeks to compete this Gun Strafing mission .. almost every test flight uncovered some bug or a way to improve the mission, but it is finally ready. I've just uploaded an updated mission pack today. Best regards, Eduardo
  18. The amount of DCS users that only fly historical scenarios always amuses me ... I'm more interested in learning the nuances of operating a different WW2 aircraft, than doing it over the exactly correct map and exactly correct AI units. I will fly the La-7 on the Normandy 2 Map, on a fictional soviet unit that operated on the western front, in the same way as the american Eagle squadrons did the same on the Soviet Union.
  19. honestly, I’m more of a mouse than keyboard user so I hadn’t really attempted to use the tab key within the Editor, but I agree that there are many tools lacking on it … one that I would love to have is a way to select a block of triggers and then be able to move them up or down within the trigger list, currently it only allows movement of single triggers. I also would love if triggers (and trigger zones) could be added to Static Templates, allowing me to build trigger blocks like a library of common functions. Finally, adding the ability to comment on triggers would do a lot for documenting the mission’s logic.
  20. Some users love acronyms CTD= Crash To Desktop
  21. Try here: https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=kZskhnZwioeCmgDRQuieiKYUdSfC84HFmhV
  22. No, the only thing we can do is deflect the stick out of the way, which is only possible while on the ground.
