taking into account the amount of work that writing one of these Guides entail, I wouldn’t mind if they did require a fee.

Creating missions with loaded map possible?
Rudel_chw replied to marvel_master's topic in Mission Editor

Very slow launching of mission-editor missions
Rudel_chw replied to franx's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
I have an middle of the road pc with a ryzen 3600 cpu, an rtx 2080 gpu, 32 gb of ram and a 2 tb ssd, so your problem doesnt seem hardware related. you edit missions in vr? Back when my vr gear was new, I still edited in 2D and only the mission testing was done in vr. -
Perhaps because it has two sets of textures: summer and winter

Very slow launching of mission-editor missions

You don't provide much data, but I'd guess that your PC has either 16 GB or less of RAM, or you have DCS on a traditional hard drive. On my DCS the missions loads in under 20 sec, as seen here: -
[Mig-21][SP] The Brezhnev Crash
Rudel_chw replied to leonardo_c's topic in User Created Missions General
Hello all, An update on my prior post: The user @Seasick has kindly provided me with an original copy of this Campaign, so the search is over. So, I sent a copy of the Campaign to its original author, @leonardo_c, so that he can have access to his prior work once again. I'm still mid-way with editing a MiG-21 training series, this one: but as soon as I finish it, I will start with updating this Campaign as the MiG-21 is still one of my favorite DCS modules ... hopefully I will have these projects finished before the Mig-29 arrives Cheers! You really should read the manual: https://f4.manuals.heatblur.se/systems/electrics.html#circuit-breakers

Almost every module and terrain not authorized
Rudel_chw replied to Cueball's topic in Game Performance Bugs
There are a dozen threads just like this, search a bit before initiating another one. Sorry if I sound rude, but seriously so many threads on the same issue gets tiresome. -
thanks a lot for maintaining this script current, I will test the new functions on a rocket training mission that I’m editing for the mig-21

Were you running dcs in offline mode? I ask because during off-line mode you cant have any change on your pc config, or the game will assume it was copied to another pc -
[Mig-21][SP] The Brezhnev Crash
Rudel_chw replied to leonardo_c's topic in User Created Missions General
Hello all! Recently I found on YT a video series with this Campaign: I'd like to update it so it works with the current version of DCS, adding new weather, updated AI units, etc, but unfortunately, this Campaign isn't available anymore at User Files. I contacted its author but as so many years have passed he does not have it anymore By any chance, does any DCS user of the MiG-21 still have it on his DCS stash and is willing to share it with me? The Campaign's author gaved me his permission to update it if I can get a copy of it. Thanks beforehand for any help that you can give me with this. Greetings, Eduardo -
I know that you are probably just joking, but having documentation is just one of the items needed to develop a DCS aircraft .. almost as important is having market demand, ED needs to sell enough copies to at the very least cover the development expenses. So, it seems doubtful to me that a relatively unknown aircraft would sell well.

Either the exception is not properly specified, or your Bitdefender subscription has lapsed, in which case Microsoft's Defender takes over (and would need an exception in that case)
-
Hi, thanks a lot for clearing that up
-
Not the case of the F-5 remastered, but other aircraft can have an enormous quantity of skins, for example Heatblur's F-4E cames with over 60 standard liveries, plus you can have downloaded a further 160 from User files. That could lead to having to select skins from a truly large list. This way the sim only shows those that corresponds to the country you are flying for, which is a much smaller list.
-
there are none yet, only skin for the old F-5

Hello @BIGNEWY, Can you please suggest to the Team adding Uruguay and Colombia as a country? We already have most of south america, but these two countries are missing best regards, Eduardo
-
Strange ... they show up fine on my updated DCS:
-
or set your aircraft as belonging to the Combined Blue forces.

Just wanted to confirm - FF module is not FC upgrade
Rudel_chw replied to CybrSlydr's topic in DCS: F-15C
agree, and it is surprising how much of the real aircraft procedures still apply to the FC version, as I discovered when I wrote my own kneeboard for the type: https://1drv.ms/b/s!Ai6cuX3YQI26hqUxVfRSQdqiqaUr_g -

Yes, but Belsimtek wasn't really an independent 3d party, as Matt Wagner said on a 2019 interview "BST was originally set up as a branch of Eagle Dynamics as a 3rd party example as a business practice. With the establishment of other 3rd parties, it no longer made sense to keep that staff under a separate entity. They were then merged back into Eagle Dynamics."

+1 fully agree and I couldn’t have said it better

) three? This is really generous, thank you … I truly love this map, so I look forward to fly your Campaign, wish you lots of success with it. Best regards, Eduardo
