the author has not connected on almost two years, hopefully it isn’t health related.

Maybe you have only 16 GB of ram or less? DCS has increased its memory requirement in recent versions, 32 GB is now the recommended amount: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/stable/

Cold War - Syrian Hunter Campaign (by C98)
Rudel_chw replied to Chef98's topic in User Created Missions General
This is sad, I was looking forward to this series of Campaigns, as @Chef98 is one of the most innovative DCS mission designers, and I enjoy his work a lot. I see he has not connected during the last 8 months, hopefully it isn't a health issue, but merely Real life getting in the way of our hobby -
Hi, Just checked, and the parameters apply to the Su-33 as well. I did a brief proof-of-concept: a) This triggers detect the moment when both left and right main wheels are compressed at touch down. The trigger zone assures me that it happens only on the carrier: b) This next trigger is the same, but also detects if the aircraft is at rest on the deck: three wheels compressed and speed less than 60 (to account for the carrier + wind speed) Here is a short video of these triggers: sorry the poor landing, its been a while since I last flew the Su-33

Hello, If its a Single player mission, you could use Weight-on-wheels parameters to confirm if the aircraft is in contact with the carrier, as using altitude minimum would depend on the carrier deck height over the water. You would need also a moving trigger zone attached to the carrier, so if all three aircraft wheels are in contact with the deck and the aircraft is within that moving zone, then we can assume that the aircraft has successfully landed on it. For the F-18C and F-14 the parameters are: BASE_SENSOR_WOW_LEFT_GEAR BASE_SENSOR_WOW_RIGHT_GEAR BASE_SENSOR_WOW_NOSE_GEAR If the parameter is 0, then that wheel is in the air, if its 1 then that wheel is in contact with the deck. I'm not sure if the same parameters apply to the Su-33, would have to check ... which aircraft is your mission for?

on my DCS it works now, as seen on this video:

Thanks for your kind words, I’m currently halfway through the third mission, so hopefully I will release this first set soon. I intend to keep adding more as I progress through my own training The Sinai map is pretty gorgeous, which adds a lot to the missions ambiance.

you can enable unlimited munitions on the Options screen.

Hi, actually the issue was caused by my hotas throttle…. A calibration fixed it for me, as I exposed here:
-
Hi, I have still not finished my re-training on the -21, so I can't attempt yet any combat mission with it, however I liked the fact that you added custom weather instead of the old default, and the custom US livery seems to work now. Thanks for the effort invested on fixing these missions Best regards, Eduardo

Getting booted to desktop at "World preload"
Rudel_chw replied to Zimmerdylan's topic in Game Performance Bugs
If this were true for every user, no one would fly DCS at all ... on my case, I spend most of my time flying DCS, and the remaining time I spent tinkering on the Mission Editor ... looking for solutions is, at least on my case, fairly rare. -

Try increasing this adjustment, 1.25 works for me: -
Two livery packs for the new S-3 Viking model
Rudel_chw replied to Tomcatter87's topic in AI Aircraft
Thank you so much ... really great liveries -
Wonder exactly what you expect to achieve with this post of yours? it really puzzles me what may be your motivation, what do you gain? never mind, don't answer, will just forget your post and go fly instead.
-
Thanks a lot .. should have read that manual a lot closer, but I was relying on the easier to read Guide by Chuck Now, straight to practice this and see if I can make sense of it
-
I do, but I admit that my attention at that point is on whatever aircraft I'm flying, not the L-39 in particular. Never said that it was listed as such, my words where: "When I purchase a dcs module, I buy it "as is" .. at the moment I meant that on the DCS market I purchase Modules for what they are at the moment, not hoping for any future improvements. That way, whatever improvement may come along is like "a bonus" "gas light and troll?" .. those people need to look into a mirror. So, I'm an "attacker" ... yeah, right ... well for sure I will strive to get out of your way from now on, as debating with you isnt healthy. There is nothing more I can say about this, bye.
-
Hi, Thank you so much for clarifying this, I was led by the Module Manual (page 54) to believe that the NPP showed magnetic bearings ... but just tested and you are right, the NPP reads True bearings. I'd like to know more on how to employ the "2 3 4" reference marks, by any chance do you have perhaps a diagram, or a more verbose description on how to perform the pattern using these marks? Thanks a lot for any help with this Cheers, Eduardo

campaign update/overhaul?
Rudel_chw replied to Pegas44 (Andrey)'s topic in F-5E Black Sea Resolve '79 Campaign
When I read the above, I tought to myself "have to support this kind of commitment", so as the sale just begun went to the store to purchase this Campaign right away … only to realize that I already owned it, probably I purchased it on an old Sale but never went to play it … thanks a lot, I’m currently not flying the F-5 but as soon as your updated version is released I will return to the F-5 and get to fly this Campaign on the updated F-5 -
Probably you already figured this out, but the error is on the name of the table, it should be "RSBN_data_SinaiMap" ... and the file should be named "R_NAV_data_SinaiMap.lua"

fixes yes, updates? why? would you sell a software and then have to keep updating it forever for free? don’t you check the patch logs that ED puts out monthly? Most of its items are fixes.

easy solution: don’t purchase the upgrade until all the features have been implemented.

I’m not even flying the F-5E at the moment, but I will purchase the upgrade anyway, to encourage ED to upgrade other modules too, even if its mainly cosmetic … I’d love to have an upgraded Mi-8 or UH-1

Dont think so, as they are not mentioned on the announcement ... bet there will be a laser guided bombs capability.
