  1. Have you seen this vid?
  2. Thanks Mr. Nicolas Dimitrov. ☺
  3. Just because...
  4. I do use the map. Because my english is not all that great and the info from "meatboy" or other are sometimes not clear to me. Also, I don't mind doing a mission again if I fail to complete it, but to be set-back a mission and doing the mission that you DID succesfully complete before over again is a bit unfair I think.
  5. I guess if the helicopter is in the right position (nose pointed towards the target) and the laser says it is within range, it should be possible to fire a missile I think. But I don't think an anti-armor missile is an ideal weapon for killing soft targets like a Heli. The HOT3 has a shaped HEAT warhead that sends out a super heated stream of copper. I think it will enter the Helicopter and shoots right back the other side, only leaving a tiny hole in the soft aluminium skin of any aircraft. It all depends on where you hit the target. It can be destructive against the heli's engines. But if you hit an Mi-8 in the side of the (largely) empty cargo cabin, it probably will shoot out the other end with no great difficulty or doing any other damage then just leaving two tiny holes opposite to eachother. So then it depends on de the damage modelling in DCS world for heli's or other targets.
  6. That was a weird bug report... "I hit something and then I crash, please fix..." :megalol:
  7. That looks like an awesome lot of fun when it comes out! ps, can you adjust the settings/depression of the gunsight so you can fire accuratly at distances? What is the 'job' for the second guy (the one giving me creepy looks) since he has no Viviane to play with anymore.
  8. Yeah. I think it is good the way it is. As a PC aviator, I excpect things to go "up" when I pull the stick and go 'down' when you push it. And inverting an axis in DCS is extremly easy.
  9. Keep them coming guys, awesome skins so far!!!
  10. I'm not sure if the extra space in "name" is of any consequence... Here is it without spaces. {down=iCommandPlaneFlapsOff, up=iCommandPlaneFlaps, name='Flaps Up - Alternate',category='Systems'}, {down=iCommandPlaneFlapsOn, up=iCommandPlaneFlaps, name='Flaps Down- Alternate',category='Systems'},
  11. Well... I hate using software to program my joystick. So I never use it. It is not at all very usefull unless you want to program some kind of macro.
  12. Th@nks!!!! :D
  13. If trimmed proper, this heli is super-stable and controllable.
  14. The main joystick functions as Viviane controls when you are in autohoover and in the seat of the 'gunner'. This is a good solution. But adding a second joystick dedicated to this task is very well possible. I used the slew control of the Warthog for that. As long as Windows can recognize it as a joystick, you can pretty much use anything you want.
  15. The Gazelle was intended as the succesor to the venerable Alouette II and III helicopters. The Dutch airforce had 77 of those flying around at one point. If they needed a replacement for those, the Gazelle would be the logical choice. The highest Alouette registration in the Dutch Airforce was A-550. This one is A-551, flying with the colors of the 299 squadron (grasshoppers) Instructions on installing and using the skin is in the README. Credits to Polychop for the original German skin. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1909633/
  16. Just found this little easteregg. :) Watching and waiting...
  17. Try to install these. An official checklist is in the works. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1894207/
  18. The fictional succesor for the Alouette in the Dutch army. :) The original shot.
  19. Was playing with the NADIR a bit, navigating using the F10 ruler and the GEO coordinates. When suddenly my mates scared the hell out of me! :)
  20. Those pedals are sooooo close together. I like them to be much wider. Am I the only one? But then again, they are about the only ones making pedals for a normal price I think.
  21. Well... I made my buttong box look like the MiG-21 ASP gunsight and weapon control panel. :music_whistling: The weapon selector is a 12 position switch. It doesn't turn 360 degrees, but it works like a charm and it looks nice! And I also made a radar control panel. MiG-21 drivers will recognize this instantly. The tape-wrapping is done on purpose. All these wires are connected. By bundling them this way, the panel got a nice russian style military look. I also got this ancient piece of hardware hooked up to my Leo Bodnar board. Originaly, it had gameport connection. But now through the BU8036X, it is USB. I modified the springsystem and made toebrakes. Now they are awesome generic pedals. Super functional for choppers and such. But usable as a rudder control for all aircraft.
  22. The auto-hoover in the Gazelle. Some call it a "wobble" I like to call it the "Gazelle ballet" :)
  23. An awesome solution. I however find great joy in building my own button boxes. The price is not too bad. But I wonder, what kind of USB device do they use? Is it arduino? Or some BU8036X like board?
  24. I do not even understand half of it, but thank you for the explanation brianacooper11 :) I would love a flyable TU-22m3!!!
