  1. Thanx man!!!!
  2. It would also be a b!tch to line up all the same parts that are in different areas on the *.BMP... ;) btw, is this a MiG-21BIS?
  3. What programs do you use and how do you test the skin if everything is lined up?
  4. Now I see the "camel" text on the back wich is not proper lined up. I did have some issues with that as well in my skin. It was maddening. The "6" in the 1961 text is on four or five different layers. It took me a day or two to get it right. I think Jack also has a valid point. You need to make the mouth bigger. Altough I must say, the Leatherneck '21 seems to have subtle diffrent shapes then the real one. Altough it is hard to say for sure.
  5. The wrapping isn't too bad on the MiG-21. It is at its worst in the area just behind the canopy I think. But for this skin, it isn't that important. If you move around the beak a bit, you'll get there. Great livery by the way!
  6. Nearly done! :music_whistling: Comments welcome! :smartass: (screenshots with SweetFX enabled)
  7. Yup. I have the same problem. I don't think yo can really do anything about it other then assign the skins yourself in the mission editor. If only the MiG-21 campaign was written by the same guy that did the Mi-8 campaign for Belsimtek... (it is awesome!)
  8. What's that inside Battlestar Galactica's Raptor? :)
  9. Skinning is great! However, may I recommend a little less pronounced rivets and panel lines? What program do you use?
  10. You mean: nice chick, or nice airplane?
  11. Ow Cr@p, does that mean that all of the custom skins must be redone? :(
  12. Avionics are rather simple once you get the hang of it. Please feel free to nose around the 'user files' on the main DCS world website. There is an english cocpit mod available which will help learning to push the proper buttons. I reverted back to russian because it feels more authentic. :)
  13. I allready got guitar music as the MiG-21 intro. But I probably won't escape guitars with the Aviojet!
  14. Yup, got it too. :) Does anyone know any good music that could be used as a menu-intro?
  15. We would be better off with the Leatherneck AA-2 Atoll. From the sound of it, a real-life Atoll could fit under an F-86! :megalol:
  16. Grattis på födelsedagen! kan dina ansträngningar vara många och framgångsrika. Och leva ett lyckligt liv!!! :):):beer::cheer3nc::cheer3nc:
  17. Just a little update. I am going to redo the little painted-on MiG a bit. The white/blueish canopy isn't quite finished yet. The last piece of it is in a diffrent part of the skin. It shouldn't be too hard to line it up. the texts on either side of the spine is done. The '6' in 1961-2005 is divided over 4 or 5 different layers in photoshop because the mapping and the wrapping of the skin in that particular spot is really horrible. It is not LNS's fault, but rather the odd shapes of the MiG-21 itself. It is a bit hard to tell from pictures what the exact size and placement of the text on the MiG's spine is, but I think this is pretty close. Since there are some minor diffrences between the MiG-21 in DCS and the real one that stands on the pole just outside of Čáslav airforce base. It is quite a bit of work to get everything right. It is a great re-paint. On almost every part of the aircraft, you can see something. Except maybe the Tigerprint, it is not really all that flashy. But as a whole, it is quite an attractive livery to look at.
  18. You can buy only the stick, but does the throttle also sell separately? I don't think so really. So why not go for the cheaper alternative, the X55 Rhino? It got pretty much the same bells and whistles and is quite a bit cheaper. And unless you plan to do some highly competitive professional LAN games, I don't think you really need the bulky Warthog.
  19. In the first missions, it is all F-5's and F-4's. As well as flights of B-52's. They are well protected! but seldom do they actually drop their bombs. No need to worry about hyper-technological mis-matches against F-15's and -16's! Would love to see a few handmade missions for it tough.
  20. Oleg is the funniest Russian I know.
  21. Have you tried this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=136618 It is a random campaign wich can be flown in single or multiplayer. You have to be precise with the instalation, but once you get it going, it is a lot of fun!
  22. This is better I think. I also redid the numbers, using paths and brush. This because the font I used didn't really capture the shape of the registration very well. Also, the characters were too 'fat'.
  23. Yeah, I always found it a bit suspicious. I've got the super-sleek aerodynamic MiG-21. It really needs 90% power in the approach if you come in a bit heavy and you want to maintain a reasonable airspeed. And in the F-86 and the MiG-15, you really need to work to slow down the airplane. I think there must be some kind of simple flight model that Belsimtek implemented in those aircraft.
  24. Cr@p, I accidentaly Merged all the layers in the template and forgot to undo it. I had about a dozen of layers of stuff, but now everything is one great bitmap and I loaded myself up with a few evenings worth of work. :helpsmilie: Well. It helps me to stay out of trouble I guess... :music_whistling:
