  1. They really need to work on their drivers and softwares. From what I know, I used the W10 64 beta drivers as soon as they've been released and it's the same version numbers we have now (7.0.41.10). I tried to replicate my issue and I created new simple profiles (one button with simple keybinding on each profile), backed up and moved my other profiles out of the folder. Switching back and forth between those very basic profiles and the default profile did not trigger any crash. Then I removed them and copied my Su-27 profile back in the folder (the same I used for months). I've shorten the commands names under 13 characters (just in case). Fresh reboot (just in case), and it keeps crashing if I switch profiles (Su-27 to default profile) with that BSOD error message: (with another note implying SaiKa215.sys - which is the driver) or The very same profile (Su-27) was working flawlessly until W10. I really don't want to loose my time struggling with the profile checking the commands one by one and trying to locate the issue. It seems to be related to a driver and/or software issue. I attached my profiles to my ticket to MadCatz/Saitek support but based on their previous replies, I doubt it will be fixed anytime soon. I'll report back if I happen to find a solution or if the support team provides some useful advice.
  2. Thanks for the info! I also read somewhere while searching for similar error messages that if the commands names are longer than 15 characters, it may BSOD as well :/ I've already changed most of my commands names without altering the profiles functions but it keeps crashing (I'll have to double check the characters count). I think I'll try to run very basic profiles and switch between them to check how stable it is first… That little thumb stick is a real PITA - I only use bands and try to use it like a simple hat. It shouldn't be that clunky anyway. I'll report back if I can find a solution.
  3. Anyone with Windows 10 keeps suffering from driver and software issues? Since the new W10 drivers it worked fine for a while but I now have BOSD when switching profiles and unplugging the throttle (I don't use the joystick). I'm using the v7.0.41.10 drivers and software. I reinstalled the driver and software for good measure but the problems are not fixed. I submitted a ticket…
  4. + rep for spreading some love with war machines! Both are great modules. Good luck everyone! >>>Let's see how skillful you can be with a Mi-8 (with very little practice ;)) [ame] [/ame]
  5. Probably not that important but that Sphinx has some serious psychic powers: It's the single building with that (floating) issue I spotted in the vicinity. It's the Luxor building right next to the pyramid.
  6. La classe ! Merci Lilkiki ! Il n’y a plus qu’à sortir un nouveau City River Run à la sauce Vegas.
  7. And the reply (from UIV): And the deflection angle is a bit more 20° on each side of each axis. VKB still needs some basic documentation and based on the recent T-Rudder MkIII Quick Start Guide, it's on its way.
  8. Different airliners and companies would be a nice addition but it's most probably very far from the top of the list if it's even considered as a future development. At least, it should be easy to replace the default livery. Southwest airlines would be more realistic and pleasantly colorful. The textures are here: \DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\terrains\Nevada\Models\Aircrafts
  9. Afaik, only Tonopah is on the menu. The focus is on the military theater/operations airfields. There's so much to do first, I don't think we'll see more civilian airfields anytime soon (and imho, it’s better that way). The Yucca runway/airfield is partially modeled (east of the salt flat) but without any AI logic (36°55'39"N, 116°00'28"W).
  10. The green color looks weird but the level of details has definitely done some push ups! I quickly checked the .edm models (infantry, soldier - open alpha) but I couldn't find that guy. Sneaky, even in the files.
  11. Nice deal! Let us know how it feels with the new gimbal when you'll be all set.
  12. Thanks for the info rrohde! That's a pretty neat UI. For those who aren't visiting the official forum, the virtual toe-brakes software beta test has been delayed due to the important production process for the new devices (Gladiator, FBM Vintage, etc.). I'll be happy to test those toe-brakes with the Mustang as soon as the beta is ready.
  13. Superb screenshots and formation flying! (and beautiful F-16 models)
  14. Fantastic reference! Thanks for the hard work!
  15. Landing lights and navigation lights definitely need more work. It's an important feature of a flight sim. I've always been surprised I couldn't see my wingmen lights and the runway lights by night, unless I'm unrealistically close. Please set the photons free! ;)
  16. I created four kneeboard pictures for my own tests. Feel free to use them if you need. Just extract the \kneeboard folder included in the archive in your \Saved Games\DCS.openalpha folder. >>> Groom Lake, Creech, Nellis, McCarran kneeboard via MediaFire <<<
  17. Thanks for the picture alieneye. That's the idea. Unless there's a very specific tool for that (which I doubt), there's probably no chance the streetlights tints could be that diversified. At least, ED might be able to tweak the overall tint without struggling with the engine.
  18. Looking good! If I'm not mistaken the stick is from the Gladiator line and it will be even more efficient with the metal replica (bolstering two clickable hats and a pinky trigger/lever). It should be a perfect match for the MiG-15Bis. Indeed. ;) Metal KG-12 (WIP)
  19. Hello, The street lights have a pale yellowish/light greenish tint and I think a slight tint modification would improve the cities night lighting realism. Las Vegas still mainly uses high pressure sodium bulbs and progressively evolves to LEDs street lights. The sodium lights have a very characteristic orange/yellow tint whereas the LEDs cast a white light. Here are some comparison shots: DCS LV: Real LV: Sodium and LEDs: Although there's no need to match the tint variations, I really thing a warmer color would make the cities look more realistic and visually catchy. As the Nevada terrain is still in alpha, I hope this post is constructive enough to help improving the final product. Thanks for reading ;)
  20. Already reported. Please try to use the search tool before reporting. Let's save them some precious time ;)
  21. Thanks to Corvus and congratz to you, Ebabil! It's great to see one more pilot enjoying that freaking good Nevada
  22. Same on several buildings, but it's typical collision model simplification. Changing all of them would require a lot of work and unless its a intended beta version for those models, we should be fine with them. But, yeah, it's fun landing on the roofs ;)
  23. Great! We need more aircraft types in Mc Carran anyway ;)
  24. No need to build a new Tower of Babel guys ;) Sometimes our minds and our keyboards have their own rules. The best thing is our intent to help providing better sim controls to all of us (and despite our own flaws and misjudgment). And I personally think Eagle Dynamics and VKB are both on the right track and both show a palpable passion about flying an aircraft (it's obviously not all business and profit even while both are essential to survival).
  25. About traffic: I landed with a Ka-50 on a highway in the middle of nowhere and the cars and trucks were passing through but also moving the model and apparently doing some damages. At least the traffic is not totally non-interactive/destructive even if the vehicles did not explode or weren't damaged (some disappeared under the helicopter).
