  1. Don't get closer than 1.5nm to a BMP. That's near enough to light him up with the 30mm in any event.
  2. Did you read post#30? http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2145385&postcount=30 What more do you want? For a Dev to come and repeat the same thing I just said in the above post? Honestly, being constructive will win you a lot more favours than tossing your toys - food for thought ;)
  3. That's what Yo-Yo said: 10G for one or two seconds is probably better than 7G's for five seconds. According to those Tacview pics it seems that G's were well above 7 for a good few seconds explaining wing-loss. Then again, a track would be perfect as tacview pics are of little help troubleshooting.
  4. You are not. This right here will get you killed faster than beans run through a Cowboy : (Cold-Start mission parameters) ....especially the Turbulence setting. Edit the settings in that mission and you'll see the difference in handling.
  5. Very next on my to-do list.
  6. Nope - no idea I'm afraid :) I gathered from the comments that the essence of the issue is A.I. vs A.I., yes? Point being that at present, the Mig-15 thumps the living shite outta the Sabre in all flight parameters/scenarios? Correct? Further, rather than the A.I. Mig-15 being overpowered, it's a case of the A.I. Sabre under-performing? Am I assuming/guessing correctly here? Hard to ascertain from all the moans :P
  7. Welcome to the forums :) As above, be sure that your PAC system is engaged. Thereafter engage all armour from 0.7nm-0.4nm only: Any further and you won't do effective damage to the armour, requiring re-engagement. Any closer and you'll probably end up as an expensive lawn-ornament. Here's a couple of old vids illustrating the principle: T-80 Frontal attack: B7barPrsB5k And here's slightly more extreme, illustrating a 70-round kill: wTa2vp0sf5I Bottom-line is to get close, within that majik 0.7-0.4 range.
  8. Of course yes.
  9. This matter has already been reported and is registered in the bug tracker as a blocking bug, ie high priority/urgent. More than that cannot be done atm apart from remaining patient and awaiting the fix. I'll endeavour to keep this thread updated with progress reports.
  10. No air-to-air friendly fire incidents but a helluva lot of casualties as a result of air-to-ground friendly fire in the Korean War.
  11. :megalol: Being confronted with that audaciously unmannerly remark just caused Yo-Yo a few roubles as a result of the unintentional yet violent expulsion of coffee, tea or other beverage of choice, from mouth to keyboard, especially considering the official update :D
  12. Different missions no doubt.
  13. For some it does. For others it took a couple of minutes. It's all in the rudder-dance and if you cannot 'feel' what's necessary before it becomes necessary then you are always going to be chasing your tail. This, coupled with our divergent choices of peripherals, has the effect of some struggling while others do not. Which is exactly what the myriad of assists are there for: For some a necessity, for others a learning tool. Toggle them on, see what the PC does in order to take off and replicate - Monkey See, Monkey Doo. Cannot be simpler. DCS does EVERYTHING but hold the spoon for us - all we gotta do is get the spoon to our mouths. And no, there is absolutely no shame in using the assists. It's every individual's SIM to fly it as they want to. If they wish to utilize the assists as an invaluable learning aid then good for them. Everything you need to know if you're struggling is there for the taking - all you gotta do is tick the box.
  14. My first attempt: MomyoXEheT8 Take-Off and Landing: -bxZnw_bbD0 No problems mastering. Just anticipate changes of direction as needed.
  15. Yes, speed is set at 4 seconds as opposed to variable.
  16. Update: What I also neglected to mention in my earlier posts is that 'feelings' often get beaten down worse than the proverbial red-headed stepchild, thus wasting a helluva lot of time taken in the reporting process.......my bad. That said, as fate would dictate, this is incidentally exactly what happened here, illustrating again the importance of corroborating reports/potential issues with substantive documentary evidence. The relevant Dev has confirmed that the F-86 Sabre nose-wheel actuator has a maximum speed/set time it traverses from extreme left to extreme right, and visa versa, said time being 4 seconds. As such the behaviour In-SIM is spot-on and accords with the afore-said time, ie no bug/correct as modelled. That said, if anyone has any information other than a subjective feeling which factually contradicts the Dev's statement then please get it to me so we can reopen the report. Until then, NWS responsiveness is as intended.
  17. Not much that one can expect from such an old system I suppose, which probably accounts for the erratic intercept path. Then again, it did shoot down a F-16 amongst others so it still does the job.
  18. You really should not be backing projects through Kickstarter if you at any time laboured under the impression/are still labouring under the impression that you are entitled to your money back/a refund. You are not entitled to said refund. Asking for it just highlights your lack of knowledge regarding the Kickstarter terms and conditions. In any event, in these particular circumstances where another Dev team has picked up the flaming turd and ran with it, then still demanding six planes for $40 where other mortals will have to pay $300 for the privilege is disingenuous at best.
  19. Post a screenshot of your debrief screen next time so we can see how many shells actually hit and how many raised the metal-earth index a couple of fractions.
  20. Post them as images and not thumbnails - doing so will prevent the skullfcu*#ery that currently takes place as a result of attachments not being resized.
  21. High-Velocity Lip-Flap.....:megalol: :megalol:
