  1. No chute on the 33.
  2. Ensure your wheel brake axis are not inverted. Ideally you do not want to brake the Sabre at all, ie no ABS/Anti-Skid etc etc so just get the nose down, flaps in, airbrake out and let the damsel roll out to the end of the runway. If you're not very good with the toebrakes just use the 'W' key for equal braking if you must.
  3. Track? Which airbase? Aircraft parameters (loadout/fuel)? Let me know and I'll fly the approach and landing and let you have the track.
  4. Which plane? Cy-27? Could you post a track?
  5. Turn them pesky scribbles off.
  6. That's the problem with the hardware we have and the penalty for sitting behind a monitor vs the Real World: Certain concessions have to be made and the necessity to zoom is unfortunately one of them. Real-Life pilots, airline and otherwise, in the current test team are all of the opinion that it's harder to spot targets in real life than it is in-SIM currently. Again, when making the comparison it is imperative that one keeps in mind the distinction of sitting behind monitor vs in a real plane and accepting that we will never have the same view in both instances: Concessions have to be made, ie zooming. All things considered, I'm not saying that by posting the above screenshots that all is well within the SIM: I don't know, hence the screenshots I posted of a F-15-sized target. If there is info out there that the sizing/visibility is wrong then pls let me know, keeping in mind that zooming is essential to bridge the inherent shortcomings of our flight SIM equipment.
  7. In-SIM @ 1360x768 In-SIM @ 1024x768 Again, Good or Bad?
  8. A Steam poll is not really indicative of the Flight SIM Community and DCS now is it. And yes, one must draw a reasonable line somewhere. LockOn/DCS has always been known for pushing the boundaries of graphics fidelity - that's no surprise. As said, one must draw the line somewhere and in this day and age I dare say 1024x768 is definitely not it as far as DCS is concerned. Then again, that's just my opinion. What we need is a survey of DCS resolutions but then again, not many members are forumites so even those results will have to be taken with circumspect.
  9. This is 2014. A monitor with default res of 1920x1080 should be eminently affordable for all flight sim enthusiasts.
  10. Hey it took me longer if I recall correctly. Hang in there - you'll get it soon enough :)
  11. Yes, it takes two to tango..... In any event, back to SIM: Here's a quick comparison between my default resolution (3440x1440) and a reasonable default in this day and age I would have thought (1920x1080). Target in view is a F-15 with B-52 at 5km: Default View Default Zoom View of HUD Default Zoom View Right Good or Bad?
  12. At least $50 I would have thought. Yes.
  13. Yeah, somehow I don't think that the 'intentional extreme AoA stall to make your target fly-right-by' will make it into the BFM handbook anytime soon :megalol:
  14. He's getting his a$$ handed to him.....:megalol:
  15. :megalol: Trust me when I tell you that users are in for a very big surprise when this hits the shelves. Ya'all wanted fidelity, well, fidelity's gonna be shoved so far up ya collective a*#*s that you're gonna be leaking afterburner textures through your noses everytime you sneeze :D A friendly word of advice that you might want to bookmark: Think you found a bug? Shelve that thought for a minute or thirty. Make sure you read the manual. Then read it again. Make a cup of tea, digest what you've just read and read it again. Yes, you know what to do.......off you go and read it again. Revisit your apparent 'bug'. See? Not a bug but a properly modelled procedure, yes? YES! Trust me, these dudes have taken it up a notch and then some as far as modelling systems-fidelity goes. And if that's not enough, she's a wee biatch to learn to fly correctly. Oh yes, then there's the first attempt at taxiing....that's gonna be a hoot :D And no, it's not a bug......:pilotfly:
  16. What? Top priority? It's there. How do you want the engine to make the dot more visible? Strobe lighting? It's frakin' difficult to spot targets in real life, even knowing where to look. In DCS it's easy to spot targets, again, if you know where to look. They are there - cannot make what's already there any more visible.
  17. Pointy end towards target.
  18. Here's where you wanna be: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34062 And yes, we all focus primarily on DCS. Welcome :)
  19. Begs repeating for those new to this thread that may have missed the Luftwaffe pilot advice: 1 - Step on Brakes 2 - Full Throttle 3 - Release brakes Tap-Dance the rudder to keep her honest and you're good to go. Works remarkably well :)
  20. I have never come across someone who steadfastly refuses help to the extent that you do. Yes, you do need to post a track: Without it, your submissions are just moans and moans start to get pretty damn old after hearing them repeated for more than a couple of times.
  21. Another :smartass:  What difference would that make hearing the exact same thing from another person who's time is better spent coding?
  22. That would be the default beans loadout coupled with the zippo field-mod.
  23. About 125 - 130 knots/235 - 240km/h normally in that configuration (60% fuel, no externals). Using the airbrake? Brakes seem fine - I get her stopped in 860 metres, give or take a metre. As far as I recall, No. To aid you here's a quick mission I just flew illustrating the landing and stop from cockpit view and then external for reference: As above, touchdown at 235km/h, stopping 860 metres from point of touchdown, no flaps. Vid starts with me coming out of the break: veSKFhrKcWA Now obviously I hasten to add that such braking behaviour is not in any way realistic as I suppose that I would have exploded the tyres IRL had I done so in a real Sabrejet: I am doing so in this particular instance merely to illustrate that the Jet can be stopped in a short distance, In-SIM. As an aside, I usually do not utilize the brakes at all but let it roll out till the parking area. In any event, hope that helps :)
  24. No bother :) If you're not a die-hard prop-head then give the Su-25T a go: She's a joy to fly and free with your install.
  25. Why does the graph indicate that you were upwards of 5G, peaking at 9G, for the last 15 seconds or so? Or am I completely misreading it?
