  1. Yeah had a look but obviously misread :) I'm of the opinion that 'Near' as detailed in your vids would be the more appropriate light to use for landing merely due to the fact that it casts a brighter light on the most important piece of real-estate that you need to bother about, ie the runway straight ahead, especially in circumstances where you have zero runway illumination - all good and fine seeing what is going on next to you but pretty useless in the dead of night during landing when that's obviously not your intended direction of travel :megalol: But hey, stranger things have happened.
  2. Here we go: Two bulbs, offset to left: One bulb, aligned to centre:
  3. Yeah I thought so too but the external view seems to differ, unless I woke up cross-eyed this morning lol. I'll check again. Also, the diagram as linked by the Dev illustrates that the two large bulbs are the ones offset to the left.
  4. OK, had a look at this and have to agree with Ironhand in that I am of the opinion that 'Landing Light Far' is the actual light to be utilized for landing. If that is indeed the case then no, there is nothing wrong with it - it points straight forward. 'Landing Light Near' is presumably the taxi lights. Now another question: Why would the 'Landing Light Near' require two 'largish' bulbs to provide little to no illumination on the ground at all while the 'Landing Light Far' with it's relatively 'smallish' bulb lights up the environment like a Christmas tree?
  5. Agreed. Might just be the off-set angle that is a wee bit extreme In-SIM.
  6. The Devs would be more inclined to pay attention to you had you posted a screenshot detailing the issue/misalignment. Now it's just a he said/she said scenario. I'll have a look in the morning as well and post a screenshot if I can corroborate your circumstances.
  7. This per chance? http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3609001/how-to-enter-coordinates-into-your-cdu
  8. No :) It's even more. They average at about a 30ft CEP.
  9. Early access can never be feature-complete.
  10. Question is phrased silly. The Community is not a single entity, a 'We' as you stated above. The Community is made up of thousands of individual members, each with their own preferences , said preferences all as important as the next and obviously all different. I prefer early access. Another member does not. That's irrelevant. What is important is that ED provides the choice. Partake in early access or not. That's the choice I want afforded. Liking it or not is irrelevant. What matters is that I have the ability to choose.
  11. Has ED hinted at the proposed purchase price for the new Hormuz map yet? Yeah, very nice indeed!
  12. For what it's worth, one thing I did notice a long time ago was that immediately after take-off and gaining some altitude (500 - 1000mAGL), if the Kamov is configured properly for a hover then your job just becomes a helluva lot easier, so much so that you can pretty much throw her around at will without resorting to trim at all. Here's a quick vid I threw together illustrating playing silly buggers with no trim - sgljSMPDvU0 Disclaimer: Yes yes yes, I busted the nose-wheel at the end - doorbell rang Again and again and again and again and then.........again :D
  13. In the interim, use this mod: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/957372/?sphrase_id=8590022
  14. Don't worry - I'm sure you're looking wrong :D
  15. Here's an excerpt from an interview Matt gave shortly after release:
  16. Indeed. An AIM-7M being fired from a Navy bird:
  17. We've had this argument for years now, from the very beginning, from peeps that cannot seem to fly the Helo like they think it's supposed to be flown and then blame the systems-modelling. Also led to the 're-centre control input' delay addition way back when to make life easier for us using SIM controllers as opposed to the RL helo controls. I'm sure a couple of RL Kamov pilots from the .ru section of the forums also chimed in on threads stating that all is in order if I remember correctly but hey, you know how it goes over the internet :)
  18. Yeah, noticed but could not comment on the pleasantness in that closed thread. Definitely deserves a specific mention :)
  19. Via Eagle Dynamics Facebook for those that don't do FBook: Sound plan - cannot wait to get my hands on this :)
  20. Howzit Don't think BS1 had a key if I remember correctly. Just install BS2 upgrade and activate.
  21. Quite correct: It is not. As StrongHarm also correctly states, the problem begins with people assuming that the Black Shark has an 'autopilot', probably in the strict sense most of the time. It has an Auto Flight Control System (AFCS). For a mor introductory explanation, see the following post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36246 By no means comprehensive, but a jolly good start on one's journey to begin to understand the nuances involved.
  22. Set the depressible pipper to the AA TGP boresight position, ie set the Depressible Pipper to 41 mils (3 degrees) (Press rocker switch downwards 41 times). This will effectively make the DP a sight that you can use as a reference so that you always know where your TGP is looking in AA mode. You then just search visually or with your trusty binoculars, locate your target and then 'fly' the sight onto the target. locking said target. What you do with it then is up to you: Shoot it with guns or utilise a sidewinder. Slaving your sidewinder to the TGP boresight gives you the added benefit of launching off-boresight. Here's a post I did years back - should still be applicable (humble apologies if not)....... https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1619631&postcount=2
