  2. ...... that they are not SME's and that ED have SME's flying the SIM, commenting on and correcting the PFM where necessary. As such, should a simmer call into question the veracity of the PFM then you bloody well need to bring your A-Game to the party as you're arguing against not only talented Devs but against real Budgie-drivers as well.
  3. Tick the English cockpit tab in the Options. It's in there somewhere.
  4. Excellent point! Substitute stone with frozen pea, with the addition of testing with safety goggles and all should be well :D
  5. Yes, indeed. We had an 'incident' where a fellow soldier sent a 60mm Patmor round up near vertical during a live-fire exercise. Admittedly we did not stay put to admire the trajectory at the time......Did not realise I could run that fast :megalol:
  6. So I guess the next question is: Yo-Yo, is the arc real and if not, where exactly are we screwing up :D Edit: Sniped by the man himself: So, it's normal then? Cannot decipher science-speak :)
  7. I spend my time putting warheads to foreheads so the complexities of aerobics escape me completely. Now I know that this is a silly question, but why is the 'arc over the top' not normal? I would have assumed that due to the 75 degree pitch-up angle your inertia would carry you over the top in an arc as per this attempt at a slide shows: tsDAJtevI2w Why should the arc not be there?
  8. Aye, I fly by feel and not by numbers. To this day I still use your 'HUD Picture' tip on every landing. Cannot recall from which tutorial that was - might have been the T-Toad. In any event yes Richard, us Old Timers we remember your work well. Its gotta be that voice - excellent teachers voice  Good to see you back on a regular basis :)
  9. Struggling to find volunteers gullible enough to be strapped to the 27 and deal with what devious surprises I can cook up :D On a more serious note, might be that wind/environmental factors have an impact but I cannot see that being more than a couple of km's either way.
  10. Good Lord man I've explained this like 4 times already. Listen - No, I cannot hold it full aft with my flight-stick. It auto-centres as well. What you experience with your keyboard is exactly the same as what I experience with my flight-stick. I'll repeat - exactly the same.
  11. To quote Axion, a fellow 159th squaddie, the limit seems to be 430km/h under normal circumstances.

  13. It does remain where it is when the Up or Down-arrow is released via keyboard. The issue is with the pitch-input re-entering when pitch input is full aft. Irrespective of keyboard or Flight-Stick, auto-centering is by design/function of the AoA and Ny limiter. In other words, even if you were flying with a broom-handle, the IFCS WILL move your pitch from full aft to nearer centre. Disengage the AoA and Ny limiters and full aft pitch remains in both keyboard and flight-stick.
  14. Find them and shoot them with a Mav. Tunguska is relatively harmless as it's severely hampered by its short range and guidance.
  15. Correction to the above statements - Toe-Brakes were introduced with the Su-27 and are a W.I.P., ie they are coming. Herewith excerpt of a Marine test-pilot's commentary after a ride in a UB:
  16. You have it already: Disengage the AoA and Ny limiter (S-key). Oh yes, my stick also auto-centers, same as your keyboard input.
  17. :megalol: Thanx - now I have the tune to 'Oh Lord, can't you buy me a Mercedes Benz.....' rattling about in ma heed :D
  18. Axis not assigned properly?
  19. Flown into Gelendzhik or Novo' if you please.
  20. Tacview?
  21. RES. OF COCKPIT DISPLAYStab on main options screen
  22. Where is this button? Edit: Nm, found it.
