  1. Also depends a lot on your equipment you use. From the outset we are at a disadvantage insofar as our controllers are concerned due to the obvious shortened throw, amongst other things. Then again it depends on the particular controller used. The list goes on. Personally the only way I can fly the shark is with a Cougar, modded with the UberIINxt. Smooth flight guaranteed. Anything else (Warthog etc etc) and I'm useless.
  2. :D The Missus works for Halliburton - North Belt Campus. Me - still waiting on EAD.
  3. Not too bad for us....yet..... - just above the WGJones State Forest so on the 1488 Farm Road/I-45/Hardy commute to the North Belt. 40 minutes average commute at peak.....could have been worse :megalol:
  4. Use LAlt-3, the T-Toad's get-out-of-jail-free card.
  5. For registry clearing, navigate to the DCS site to this path: Home/Support/Technical Questions/All Activation Issues and scroll down till you get to the paragraph dealing with 'Problem with Activation due to significant changes of the PC or integrity fault of the Activation Key'. Follow instructions.
  6. Here's a vid - listen closely for the trim inputs: eq1kkvxAsd0
  7. All good - got to see most of the show as they crammed a lot into the time available. Hell, seeing the Thunderbirds was reason enough for the trip - first time for me seeing them so scaratch one off the bucket-list :D Oh yes, Jeep Cherokee........tell you what, just emigrated from the UK three weeks ago and car-purchasing is an absolute bloody nightmare......:megalol:
  8. Here's a donkeys-years old vid I made shortly after release. The point however remains the same - do whatever feels naturally to you. Both methods work - you just need to find the one that works for you :) 4l_LhCRIRgo
  9. Yeah, kicking ourselves (missus and I).....Were originally going to go Saturday, but car shopping...... In any event, got there Sunday morning and that storm rolled in......lol.....stuck in car till 12h00 when gates opened :music_whistling: :megalol:
  10. Headed down to Ellington for the day......not got camera yet (still ship-bound from UK) so humble apologies for quality of pics taken on cell-phone. Tell you what, that Rhino really tore a hole in the sky lol Started out with a belter of a thunderstorm but after a lengthy delay, finally got going: Tora Tora display (Zeros) was also very good - no pics taken unfortunately. Overall a cracking good day!
  11. And horizontal? 1920? Edit : OK yeah 1920 it is. Thanx :)
  12. Anybody running a 1070 at 3440 x 1440? Currently running 2 x 970's and not too sure whether a single 1070 would be a worthwhile upgrade.
  13. Depends on the variant. I would very much love having missiles hanging from my 27 that are not time-locked in the 80's.
  14. No. The EA never made it past development/prototype phase and as a consequence never operational. Remember: The In-SIM SU-27S is time-locked to 1985 (give or take a year). Any subsequent development/advancement to the SU-27 and it's armament is irrelevant/not modelled for the purposes of the SIM.
  15. Yes but I'm referring to the Russian 27's. In any event, with those birds the R-77 will in all probability be replaced by the new RVV family of missiles, which is really besides the point when discussing the DCS Flanker :)
  16. Aye, that was my typo.....should have said SU-27S instead of SU-27K (swapped the K and S) :)
  17. IIRC the SMK was never operational, ie a prototype only.
  18. SK version is just the export version of the first production model, the SU-27K (Flanker-B) which entered service in the mid 1980's. Now seeing as the R-77 only entered into production in the 1990's you can be pretty sure that that right there is the head-shot that effectively neutralizes ANY attempt at endowing the In-SIM Flankers with actives - not going to happen.
  19. Hahaha yes I'm just having a laugh :) On a more serious note, yeah, sure to be fixed soon.
  20. You think? http://www.military.com/video/aircraft/landing-gear/pilot-raises-landing-gear-on-runway/660973140001/ :D Disclaimer: Yeah it's a Mig - just poking fun :P
