[NO BUG] Adjusting pilot alitemeter QFE does nothing
lucky-hendrix replied to lucky-hendrix's topic in Bugs and Problems
On the altimeter changing the pressure setting does not move the needle. You can input 29.92 or 30.10 it will show the same altitude. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -
I am intrigued by this also. On my experience also the 'T' bug on pilot vdi/hud was just wobling around center of wing symbol Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

I have trouble playing with trim and dlc at the same time. Do you still slightly adjust trim when in the groove ? Or only dlc? Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Missile's trajectory desynchronization
lucky-hendrix replied to diditopgun's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
It is actually quite shamefull that this big ia still in the game... It is even worse with the F14. The other day I was Rio with a human pilot in MP. I shot a missile and for me it went straight and ran out of energy quite quickly. For him it lofted to 53k and git the target. It is frankly appalling that this kinds of bug still are in the game Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -
F-14 Tomcat general questions thread
lucky-hendrix replied to Mike Busutil's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I am not sure, I go from memory. But I think I read that flipping the cover. Makes it so that the phoenix are ready to go active of the rail and can be launched after a 2sec trigger press instead of the longer trigger press of normal mode Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -
Hi all, After some cold start, I have an issue where the outboard spoilers stay up. Whatever is the position of the 'spoiler-antiskid switch' The spoilers modules on the right were untouched in guarded 'norm' Cycling the flaps down & up solved the issue I don't think there is any control configuration that can allow only the outboard spoilers out, right ? Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

The slats ? Or do you mean the spoilers rather ? Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

It really looks like something wrong with your joystick. A bad connector or not enough usb power. This looks like phantom inputs Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

[NO BUG] Hydraulic Transfer Pump -- Bug?
lucky-hendrix replied to bonesvf103's topic in Bugs and Problems
For the moment you can just leave the hydraulic pump in normal. It will start up fine Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -
Question: how fast your Tomcat can reach?
lucky-hendrix replied to Sonoda Umi's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I supose you all are testing this with 'clean' aircraft. How fast should I expect to be able to go with a 2-2-2 loadout ? (with & with out the external tanks ? ) -
[NO BUG] flaps down - BUG or incorrect action?
lucky-hendrix replied to Sonoda Umi's topic in Bugs and Problems
If flaps & SLats are down (not maneuver flaps). You can't retract wings past 20°, that is normal. So if your flaps are stuck from battle-damage/over speed. It is normal you can't retract the wings -
Question about the test of hydraulics pump during start up
lucky-hendrix replied to lucky-hendrix's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
thanks for the input, very interesting. I just tried in the Sim. Turn ON Right engire. Hydraulics transfer pump to SHUTOFF Crank left engine untill Combined flight hydraulics is 3000psi Stop left engine crank. Put hydraulic transfer pump in "Normal" Combined flight pressure is still slowing dropping (I waited to 1000psi). Is this a bug ? -
[NO BUG] Hydraulic Transfer Pump -- Bug?
lucky-hendrix replied to bonesvf103's topic in Bugs and Problems
Are you sure it is not the click zone that is really difficult to each ? It seem the cover is hiding it and you need to get into weird viewpoints to click the switch and be able to close the cover -
On the right side of TID ? no I think this is a just a computer run indicator (a random number showing computer has not freezed) EDIT: *My bad* didn't see it showed when target is locked

Lets take the image in attachement. in PDSearch, what is closing speed of the contact ? Is it runung away at about 700kts or is it closing ? ? should I use the left or the right scale ? In the PD-STT image: On the left the contact is shown close to 500kts of Vc (again same question, closing or opening ? ?) But on the right of image the "closing rate symbol" is shown around 1000kts ? so which one is it ?

Question about the test of hydraulics pump during start up
lucky-hendrix replied to lucky-hendrix's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
thanks for the reply ! Does it drop in the Sim ? it seemed to stay at 3000psi. maybe I didn't wait long enough -
Question about the test of hydraulics pump during start up
lucky-hendrix replied to lucky-hendrix's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Of course [emoji14] But I'm asking to understand how the systems works. We are not just clicking switches for fun. There is a reason this test is in the natops ... Feel free to not do it. But I want to understand why this test is asked Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -
You need to assign a stick button for rctrl+0 for both the F14 pilot & F14 RIO controls category. They are both separated. Br Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Hi all, I am a bit confused about how to interpret of we are closing or not on a target. After pusruing a Tu22 flying 40k/650TAS and being unable to catch up. TID symbology in AC stab mode had the target's velocity vector pointing down. So I thought we were closing on him. But by switching to ground stab it was clear he was going away from us. Can some one show me what is the TID symbology for a target flying away from the ownship both with positive closure rate & negative ? About the DDD, if I understood correctly in PD modes the closure rate scale is on the left. So if a contact is above the middle of the display it is closing, if it is below it is going away. Is this right ? Is the aspect switch changing this ? Br Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Hi all, I have a question about the purpose of these tests. I like to understand the aircraft's systems in depth. And neither the manual or training mission explained this. I understand that the hydraulic transfer pump purpose is to pressurise the flt hydraulic from the combined hydraulics (and vice versa) when a motor is stopped. Why then does the startup make you pressurise the combined hydraulics first by cranking the left engine ? Because with both hydraulics circuit at 3000psi. You won't see it if the hydraulic transfer pump is not working ? Other point : the emergency flight hydraulics pump. I believe this pump is for providing flight controls when both engines(or both hydraulic pump are down ). What are the high &low mode ? When would you use them? Also when you start to crank the right engine for the first time, for a few seconds you can here the emergency hydraulic pump turn on. Is this normal ? Why wasn't it running before starting the engine crank. Thank you Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Hi all, I Couldn't find information in the manual about this. See the two attached image of HSD in tacan & Dest mode. what are the highlighted symbols for? I am not sure. What does the W000/000 stand for ?

For me the most difficult are the warning lights panel (on the right of the pilot and above the RIO right knee). Lights are so dim & text so small it is very difficult to tell what is shown
