  1. Having the virtual pilots arms or other part become transparent when you mouse over them to click switches would be handy.
  2. The laser still does not provide any range information, neither does the F16 TGP.
  3. Yeah pitch oscillation seems really bad during landing.
  4. Not sure if this is intended or an art issue but the new A-10C cockpit seems to have 2 canopy breaker tools. Looking at pictures on the internet seems to indicate that the actual A-10C has only one on the right side canopy rail. Here are some pictures Also an even smaller issue but the tool itself looks different in the sim vs the only picture I could find of it online. I know this is a small issue but thought I would bring it up. Thanks for your time.
  5. I get strange black screen flicker in all maps especially when over large bodies of water. Also recently I have been seeing this, which is similar but colorful. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=284886 Is that what you are seeing? I remember the screen flickering over water being reported years ago, but have not seen a fix.
  6. F18 still has reversed ground effect. Got sucked into the ocean just the other night.
  7. Thanks Bignewy. It seems as if it's not a Syria map issues as I originally thought since I have now seen it on Caucasus as well. I have just been playing mostly Syria since release and never saw it before on other maps. I also disabled all my OC's and the issue is still present as Marvk has said. I seem to notice this when changing altitudes, mostly when climbing. I don't have any tracks because I have write track disabled. However I have turned them back on and will try to save one if possible next time.
  8. Strange Graphical Glitch So not sure how to reproduce this glitch but it seems to come and go every time I play on the Syria map. Tonight I was seeing it every minute or two. Here is a video The glitch happens at about 27 seconds. Here is a freeze frame of it. This glitch is reminiscent of the glitch we had a few months back caused by tire skid marks on PG. Not sure if that is relevant but maybe it's related somehow? Here is a screenshot from that bug that was squashed. And another Not sure if I'm the only one seeing this but thought I would post it anyway. Here are my system specs. Intel i7 10700k Nvidia GTX1070 32Gb RAM DCS is on an SSD All drivers are up to date. DCS is on the most recent OB version Thanks for your time, hope I can get this sorted out.
  9. There is G warm up in DCS and it does increase the tolerance slightly. However you stay "warmed" up for about 2 minutes before you need to do it again. I guess we should all be zig zagging through the air to keep the tolerance up. :D
  10. You can't change the HOF for them yet in the F-16. Once we can, you can experiment around to find the optimum HOF to allow the submunitions to completely separate from the bomb while minimizing their time under chute. This will make hitting moving targets much easier. From my experience using them on the A-10C and F-16 in DCS, the main thing that will change the spread is actually the angle the bomb is coming in at when the submunitions are deployed. If the bomb is vertical when they deploy, the submunitions will be more or less on top of eachother in a vertical string. However if the bomb is still horizontal, the spread will be in long horizontal string. Either way the munitions get thrown out in a pretty large area. The thing to watch out for is setting to low of a HOF for the altitude/airspeed/dive angle you are dropping from. This can cause the submunitions to not have enough time to deploy. It is a ton of fun to watch 10 of them come off my F16 though :D
  11. Well I have had engine vibration warnings followed by either the loss of an engine or an engine fire. Basically the consequences I have seen are the same as the dust ingestion damage. However it has been a while since I have had it happen because the ice protection is automatically engaged on the right engine and coincides with a warning which alerts me to turn on the protection for the left engine. I will have to test it next time I fly her.
  12. It seems to be modeled on the Mi-8, however I have never seen any damage or loss of power in the F-18.
  13. The HUD TD box is where the airplane is trying to aim the weapons. The TPOD location can be way off from where the TD box is displayed which is why using the TPOD to aim non guided weapons equals a miss. This offset seems to be caused by the pressure setting in the ME and was reported IIRC. Someone told me that a setting of 29.92 will make both the TPOD and HUD TD box coincide.
  14. Isn't there an option in the ME for unrestricted sat nav? Otherwise PPLI does not work and all you see on the DL is surveillance from AWACS when on red coalition.
  15. You can edit the lua and make the panic button dispense one program and the CMS switch forward dispense another program. The lua is here DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\F-16C\Cockpit\Scripts\EWS\CMDS\device edit the CMDS_ALE47.lua using notepad++ Then bind the CMS wall panic button to your joystick and you essentially have 2 programs available on the fly.
  16. I have noticed that you must have the master mode switch in the central position to select and use S-J.
  17. The issues I have are related to the fact that most the track files appear as correlated hostile DL indications and it is impossible to visually see if they are selected as a system track file. When you TDC over them and press TMS up it does not always set it as a system file. The only way I can tell it has worked is to watch the radar azimuth limit lines center around that track (it seems the cursor must be perfectly over the track or it won't work). Then I can use TMS right to cycle the bugged target. Also you can't set a new track file as a system file while you already have another track set as the bugged contact. Not sure if that is real or a DCSism, just that it seems to work like that for me.

  19. I have this happen all the time too. I will mostly chock it up to my TMW switch registering multiple presses per one press, and even sometimes on release. I commonly have up to 4 missiles launch all at the exact same time, hitting each other about 200m in front of me. This would be avoided if we had the delay with missile releases, but as of right now it seems instant.

  22. Will the main landing gear be updated to include small details like the brake and other hydraulic lines? The FA18 seems to have this level of detail, but the F16 does not seem to. I know it's a small thing, but little details like this make me happy. :thumbup:
  23. What I did was set the panic wall button to drop only chaff in the CSM lau file. Then I setup my other programs as desired inside the same lau. This allows me to only drop chaff if I know it's a radar only launch, while not giving my position away to God and everybody with flares. Then with the CSM forward I can drop flares and chaff when I think it's IR and radar. I mapped the CSM wall button to the CSM left on my TMW because it is unused.

  25. I would like to have an option to see the sun bloom, without lens effects turned on. Currently we get the better looking sun only if we activate lens flare in the options. I enjoy the way the sun looks more with the flare effect on, but can live without the lens flare effect.
