  1. Yeah that makes sense. Only reason I asked is because under the S-J section (3-107) it says GND JETT ENABLE switch - ENABLE (if LG is down), with no mention about having WOW.
  2. The only potential bug I am seeing with the jettison is whether or not it is inhibited with gear down only, or if it requires weight on wheels to be inhibited. From reading the manual it sounds like GND JETT switch needs to be on to jettison stores even when there is no weight on wheels. I guess because external tanks can impact the main gear when jettisoned. Currently in DCS stores will jettison with GND JETT off and gear down with no weight on wheels (flying). Is that correct behavior I wonder?
  3. You can not jettison air to air missiles, it is explicitly stated in the manual. Launching the missile is not the same as using jettison.
  4. GND JETT switch allows you to jettison stores with the landing gear down. It does not allow you to shoot people down while parked or taxiing. Just like Selective jettison or EMER jettison it will not jettison air to air missiles.
  5. I tried locking another player in an F18 online tonight while he was taxiing in point track mode and could not get it to track.
  6. If you don't want to bind it to a HOTAS button you can also just use the keyboard command LCtrl+P (Pinky Switch Aft) LShift+P (Pinky Switch Center) and LAlt+P (Pinky Switch Forward).

Also as for TMS up, they probably mean forward. To designate a target with the TGP, press and hold TMS forward long (greater than 1 second) with the TGP as SOI. To zoom the map in and out, with the TAD set as SOI, use DMS aft and forward. You can also use china hat forward to zoom the FOV even more, but it will decouple the TAD window from your current aircraft position.

NWS button to fire the laser. Also in the CNTL page of the TGP you can turn latch on, which will allow the laser to be toggled on or off instead of holding down NWS button. You can also turn on auto lase in the weapons profile page and designate a specific time before impact that the laser will fire. I usually set auto lase with a 15 second TTI delay.
  9. I know the external model is WIP but I noticed that the HMCS magnetic sensor on the left side of the canopy is not visible on the external model. Low priority I know but Figured I would mention it anyway.
  10. Thanks, I'll try that next time.
  11. How does one enable the IR pointer? I accidentally did it the other day but could not figure out how.
  12. Since the pickle button on my TMW stick died I'm looking at replacing it with the Otto P1-11121. Where is a good place to find these switches?
  13. Tunguska is optically guided. All you will get is an indication from the target acquisition radar but no launch tone. You will get a lock tone from the tracking radar when it is about to shoot it's guns at you though.
  14. How are the IR signatures determined? Is there actual data somewhere about this?
  15. Oh good news, thanks for the info.
  16. I'm not sure if it's because the textures are still WIP or if our Viper does not have these but is there any chance of getting the HUD and AOA indexer decals? The One on the side of the HUD looks like this And I believe the ones on the side of the AOA indexer and NWS/AR lights indicate the current set brightness. I know this is a small thing but it would add to the immersion I think.
  17. Not sure if this has been reported or if it is intended behavior but here goes. When selecting priority mode on the RWR, and then selecting the search mode near the RWR power button, the RWR will revert back to open. However even though the open/priority button light changes, the current mode does not. This will cause the mode select button to actually select the opposite of what the light displays. This is a bit hard to explain so I made a video and a track of the issue. RWR Bug.trk
  18. Doesn't the USAF have standards on how much G and for how long a pilot must be able to pull? Obviously many things can change the number but there must be a minimum training limit to pass right? If so why not just use that standard to define what we should be able to do in DCS?
  19. I noticed if you lean in and out some of the HUD data gets obscured by the gun camera. It appears that the camera is in front of the HUD glass so this shouldn't happen should it? I made a quick video of the issue. Look at the bottom of the HUD DED repeater. Keep an eye on the bottom line with the 0000.
  20. You can indeed chage it to show CAS, TAS, and GS. I tried GS and it displayed 0 so that seems to be WIP. But the TAS does work for me. It is one of the switches on the right just under the sensor power switches.
  21. I noticed what I believe is a bug with the SAI. If you right click the knob to adjust the SAI and drag your mouse the needle will stop at the top or bottom limits of the SAI. However if you use the mouse wheel to scroll the needle to it's limits it will overshoot and appear at the opposite side of the SAI. Here is a video demonstrating what I mean.
  22. So I was playing online today and I turned my marker laser on. Then shortly there after hit escape and went back to spectators. I loaded into a new slot and I could see my previous laser mark with these blinding beams. I then did this again to confirm and I could see my second mark with a beam. So it seems that if you change slots while the marker laser is on or perhaps die (I did not test that part) that the spot you were pointing at on the ground will have a laser beam emanating from it. The beams themselves seem to all emanate in the same direction no matter the orientation of your aircraft when you re-slot. However the origin on the ground from where they emanate is the exact spot you were marking. Here is a screenshot I took while playing MP on PG today. This has been a long standing issues in DCS and I hope that it can be acknowledged and fixed as it makes using NVGs almost pointless at times.
  23. I also have to always flip it down into the "AFT" position before I can move it forward to "ARM." So I just tested this to confirm in MP and it has this behavior for me even with a cold start.
