  1. I stray into the thought of picking up an Odyssey in the interim from time to time, but I always come back to this same point as well. Currently still waiting for Gen 2 before an upgrade as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. DCS F/A-18C Hornet Live Stream April 1st 9:00am MST It takes you 5 minutes to Google "900GST to (your timezone)"? Dang. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Nah, I think a lot of the 104th guys used to fly the Hawg...it's just gotten old for them at this point, where the Harrier is newer. I've always wanted to learn it, I've owned it for years just never taken the plunge to learn it. Over those years I've started and stopped the learning many times, usually pretty quickly as I felt overwhelmed. The Harrier was actually the first non-FC3 module I learned, I tried to get started on learning the A-10C last weekend but stopped as soon as I couldn't get the damn viewpoint in cockpit to a place I liked. I'll admit it's too slow for me to want to fly very often, but I think it's a very well done module that is worth my investment of time to learn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. New A-10C trailer NineLine has said they've fixed the viewpoint in the cockpit to be more in line with newer modules (very useful for VR) on an internal build. In other words, they've taken something take became outdated and updated it...something simple. I would also guess that, in line with fixing the outdated simple things, they will refresh thw textures for the new cockpit lighting, etc like they've said they will do for all modules. Believe they are doing the Black Shark first? Perhaps the Hog could be second? We will just have to wait and see, but I see no reason to expect more than that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. I hear the snapper is top notch too
  8. I don't fly red, so can't speak specifically for that sides SRS comms...but I know that 95+% of the time everyone on Blue just uses GCI frequency like it's TeamSpeak. Everyone is apparently too lazy to change frequencies as the briefing suggests. Very, very few people use the ATC frequency to announce takeoffs (instead we have to hear some guy call out he is on finals 08 Kutaisi, or he's taxiing at Senaki, when when we are trying to talk to another guy about how we coordinate so we don't get shot down by the Flanker 7 miles away). Similarly, it's very rare that people actually use the A2G freq for coordination of strike attacks, instead they clutter A2G comms over top of guys coordinating A2A cap engagements, while others still call their ATC calls and step on the other comms. Frustrating as hell, but... "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink"
  9. Frenchy's NVG mod for DCS 1.5.x and 2.x I've been under the impression that with real NVG they are focused to the distance (infinity) when you don them on the ground inside the pit, so you can't just quickly look in your cockpit and see clearly inside of it to operate it? So I think the latest iteration from ED is realistic, whereas what you're asking for isn't. Pilots look past the NVG to see cockpit gauges. I could very well be wrong, but I feel like I've read the above numerous places. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. If you let me know what files you'd like me to post for your review, I will post them as soon as I get home tonight. I will also try a different USB port as well
  12. Me everyday when I check the VKB NA website to see if the stock has been magically refilled prior to the "mid April" quote...
  13. Appreciate the quick response, and I totally understand that my circumstance is a one off...something has definitely gone sideways, I just can't pinpoint exactly what yet. To launch SSA I just open the red icon's SSA.exe (it then opens both the red icon and green icon programs for SSA...sorry I have to deal in the icon colors for now and not the proper porgram names for now because I'm at the office and don't have access to my Sim PC). Is this incorrect? The oddest part to me is that it causes the massive stuttering in my CV1 HMD...so something, somewhere in my rig is being overstressed (or having a conflict with another program) when the SSA software is activated.
  14. Has anyone had an issue with SimShaker for Aviators software causing a MASSIVE hit to performance by way of constant stuttering and frame rate loss? If I delete the Scripts Folder contents for SimShaker (and modify it out of my Export.lua), everything runs great...I maintain mostly 45+ FPS. I've spent upwards of 12 hours of trial and error trying to figure out why my DCS all of the sudden stopped running well, and I have pinpointed it to this. If I delete the above files and never let SSA open, I can open DCS and run it perfectly. If I open SimShaker and then launch DCS, as soon as the scripts for SSA are recreated in the folder I: 1) load in to the server with constant stutters 2) have terrible FPS performance, locked essentially to 22-23FPS I've watched the CPU usage for SSA and it starts low single digit % but eventually goes up to 40%+...so it appears like even though DCS is running (and SSA is giving me the vibration feedback), SSA is doing it's typical CPU usage of when its in "I'm looking for DCS" mode...the really odd thing is that the vibrations from the seat maintain flawlessly even though the CPU usage would suggest that it's searching for DCS. I've also noticed that multiple SimShaker processes open in the Task Manager? (mutiple process with the red icon, not just the standard 1 red and 1 green icon SS's) Worth noting that I also run Voice Attack + VAICOM. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated...I've been on such a long path of troubleshooting to get to this point that I am willing to try anything :(
  15. And if they don't I hope to see someone else step up and do it instead. Truth be told I'd prefer a number of other people to make it before Thrustmaster, but I'll buy it from whoever delivers it first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Solved my issue by a series of random events and testings to try to rule things out as the cause. The Exports.lua was the culprit, something to do with either SimShaker software and/or VoiceAttack,
  17. Maybe one day we will have dedicated servers for DCS, and that might help to support higher counts? I believe I've read that ED is working on it post 2.5, but not 100% certain and I haven't seen anything concrete as of late.
  18. Initially thought that might've been it so I moved DCD over to a spare 250GB SSD by itself...didn't help. Appreciate the suggestion though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Negative buddy. I run HWMonitor all the time to keep an eye on things for my CPU/GPU usage and temps (plus RAM usage), and I run Process Lasso that tracks my RAM usage as well. Nothing appears to be throttling at all, my GPU is always running at 2000+ Core speed (I think I am OC'ed to 2085) and CPU is always at 4700 on the dot. Temps are VERY good, always very cool. This morning before I headed in to the office I tried something different really quickly. Instead of deleting my Options folder I just renamed the existing one and then loaded up so DCS would create a new one (shouldn't be any different than me completely deleting it I wouldn't think? But I'm desperate)...things seemed to be better for me, but it was nighttime in the 104th mission so I couldn't really get a fully comparable read as I've always gotten better performance at night in Op Longbow (since this issue arose a couple 7-10 days ago). It gave me some cause for optimism but I need to verify further when I get back home tonight  Fingers crossed.
  20. This has been my experience as well. Choppers tend to be pretty easy to get on scope when you're further away, but as soon as you get in close on them you need to always be focused on getting a tally ASAP (tough to do in VR lol) because you're almost always going to need to switch to AACQ to fox on them...otherwise your radar is going to lose them and you're going to be in a bad spot. Pitbull AIM-120s lose them quite often as well, it's almost always better to Fox 1 or 2 instead of 3 on a low chopper. Just my experience, maybe I'm working the radar incorrectly. Who knows.
  21. But others in VR that are on the server with me (in the same area, flying with a lesser PC) are able to maintain higher frames than me? And up until about 2 weeks ago, I maintained those frames too. Then they dropped and haven't come back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Ah, another thing to note...when it's night time (i.e pitch black) I get much better frames in the 104th server. There's a million other oddities about how DCS runs for me, but I think those are the main ones I've noticed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. On simple SP missions everything runs great. Also, I have frequent "hangs" on the main screen when DCS first launches. The mouse cursor completely stops (in a loading mode) and the cursor will only move when outside of the DCS VR window. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. No Fullscreen ticked. Have tried to Alt+Enter trick as well. Have deleted the Options folder to ensure nothing was off there either. No matter if I have Maxed settings or the Lowest settings, when I load in to the 104th mission at Kutaisi in the last Harrier slot I have 22-25 frames on the ground. When I take off I stay mostly at the same FPS unless I'm staring at the sky or I'm somewhere not populated with anything whatsoever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
