This is very nice! I hope Aerges can help you. Curious how you will label the weapon select buttons, have found different labels between the CG and for the CZ for example. And btw, i think the alternators above the warning lights are ALT 1 and 2 not GEN written. null null null null

Found it . Here are the F1 photos . And here the 2000EGM's. (2 pages later you can find some more to).

Have reposted here in the forums in the past pictures from the F1CG simulator (posted originally in modelclub.gr iirc). About the 2000egm (greek C) i have posted my own close up pictures from the whole cockpit. If you don't find them and want to see them , tell me, have to look in which threads they were posted a long time ago (the F1 and 2000 pictures). https://dogfight-editions.com/en/special-issues/2-cocardes-digital-hors-serie-n01.html This is an excellent digital book (costs only 5 euro) where you can ficd in great deetail pictures of different cockpit F1 variants. There you can find all the english labels.

Mirage F-1 module screams for African theater.
jaguara5 replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in Wish List
It screams also for an Aegean theater. Countless "dogfights" between F1CG and TuAF F-4E(heatbl. we are waiting for you) in the late 70's - 80's. Only the red buttons weren't used. -
English labeled cockpits does exist for other variants, like cz , cg etc. It would be cool to have it in game.

Does anybody know how can i unlock a nation specific livery? I want to have the CG livery available for the USA for example. So far i have already modified the respective file in the CoreMods (Aircraft/Mirage-F1/Liveries/Mirage-F1CG/114th combat wing .../description) folder as follows : countries = {"GRC", "USA"} . Nothing happens. Have also deleted completely the whole line. Also, have noted that in the CoreMods/aircraft/Mirage-F1 main folder there is another Mirage F1CG file with the following line Countries = {"Greece"}, --prevent adding this unit for all countries , it is already added in db_countries. Do i have to edit that? Thx in advance for any help

PSA: F-14 Performance/FM Development Status + Guided Discussion
jaguara5 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Any comment on that? -
Old post, i know, but wanted to ask if we will get the LCOS gun mode, or the -50 variant ED is modelling has only the EEGS gunsight? I want to simulate a pseudo F-16N variant with the lcos sight

Practicing BFM against AI is IMO almost useless. The solution is to jump in a dogfight server or find a training partner(s) and host your own missions to train extensive F-14's 1v1 fights. Keep in mind that when it comes to F-14 in DCS you have to set the training rules, regarding the limitations that has do be applied. There is a world of difference fighting an -A that's limited to (let's say) -7.5g (g limit of the E-M diagram) and flown without flaps and a -B flown with flaps and limited by the over' g coded damage model (so you can merge with 10+ g's). When each pilot flies with different limits in his mind the fight will be unbalanced. It's a game so you can do whatever you want (=training or combat style BFM), but if you're asking me, at some point (at the beginning) it would be useful to learn the cat without all the Snort ''tricks'' and then move your way up.

Could anyone retexture the cockpit with the (early) blue - grey (airbus like) color? (have no idea how to do that myself).
-
Any news on that?
-
Sorry to ask, the ''Early -A'' is the -95 or an early -135 version? Got little confused.
-
As far as i know those sticks weren't used (at least) on the F1. The solution, for a realistic appearing cockpit, is a) Aerges will provide an optional labelled cockpit (like razbam did for the M2000), or b) the community will develop a respective mod.
-
Could the documentation of the module ( preliminary manual /early access guide /checklist or whatever else is ready) be released in advance ? (like the apache manual) .
-
No i am not kidding, i asked for an optional english cockpit not a replacement of the default one . Yes the module is an F1CE but, you know , there will be several skins be released besides the spanish one (with the spanish cockpit = also not realistic), with different weapon configuration that the spanish one didn't used etc etc. And ofc there are several F1C versions that had exclusive english labeled cockpits (not the mix we can see in the video). And, last, Aerges have said that they would think about it, so perhaps it's time to pass more information. Anyway, it's not a big deal, pretty sure there will be some community mods be made in regard to that.
-
Will be an english labeled cockpit be released also?

Excellent news! I have already began my virtual type rating
-
Well i have a wish. Could you give us with the -95 a default VF-84 1978-1979 USS NIMITZ livery (with the horizontal stabilizers and the flaps painted light grey / white or whatever this color is). The F-14A looks so badass in that livery. And to stay on topic (), yeah the patches on the pilot body are cool to.
-
The 2 most important points IMO are 1) The module is in an advanced state, as can be seen in the respective videos they have posted. They have shown basic functionlaity for different hud / gunsight modes and a dogfight video. 2) There is no release date to share
-
I know, everyone is asking for 530's , exocets etc but could you (Aerges) add also the.... Aim-9P ? The missile is arleady in the game and it was used from the F1-CG's (in the P3 and P5 variants iirc). Would be cool to practice bfm's with that.

Amazing!

Little confused here about the upcoming FM changes. In the viper mini update from 7h August wags said : One of the most important updates we are working on for the Viper is adjusting the angle of attack and G loading models. We’ve been making good progress, and the sustained rates match the reference data well across airspeeds, altitudes, drag indexes, etc. The same can also be said for acceleration and Instantaneous Turns Rates (ITR) below approximately 20k MSL. We do though still need to adjust acceleration and ITR above 20k MSL. This is not a simple matter, and we hope to have this task complete this autumn. So the STR improvements are done, next are the g - onset improvements (planned for today, right?) , and what about the ITR ? Below 20K MSL are the respective FM changes already released or not?
