  1. Great read indeed! Does anybody know if this is for the slatted version of the Phantom we are getting? I'm interested especially about the stall characteristics.
  2. All this info's (text and pictures) of how the gunsight is working in different aiming modes and how to properly use the piper must be implemented in detail in the manual IMO.
  3. Would it be possible you think to order a Mirage F1 resin stick and convert it to a functional one? Functionality is not very different form the B8 one.
  4. I'm curious how complete the FM will be at the beginning. Can we expect something similar to the F-14's initial FM?
  5. There are so many requests / threads for a FF F-15C, that i'm confident that we will get one (some time in the future, from ED or perhaps Razbam).
  6. Since i'm not very familiar with the various F-4E subversions, may i ask if the initially be released Phantom will have all the aerodynamic updates of the later version or will it be BFM wise downgraded (less STR, ITR etc.)?
  7. You have to fly the radar datum over that radar command reticle to have the correct intercept path.
  8. Any news to share? Can we have a general info if the rate performance will be changed?
  9. To have a more realIstic cockpit preparation procedure i wish we could perform - the lead light test - anti g valve test (some inflation sound or perhaps also a visual effect when the pilot body will be available) - removing / counting the safety pins and arming the ejection seat -adjust and lock the harness for the pilot body
  10. DCS Mirage F1 by Aerges Optical Sight: “ANTENNE” (“ANT” aka “blind shooting”) gunsight mode is implemented. Increased the gunsight accuracy in “GYRO” mode with target range and range rate available. Fixed “GYRO” gunsight mode accuracy with target fixed range of 300 or 600 meters. Updated default values used by the gunsight when CADC or AoA data is unreliable or absent. Attitude reticle will be removed from indication when CADS attitude information is unreliable or absent. Other fixes and improvements: TACAN lights logic reworked following SME feedback. TRAP-136 radio unit guard receiver computation performance was improved. PA test light button was made operational. Fuel counter now works according to SME description. Adjusted AoA test rate. Countermeasure counters no longer require electricity to reset. Updated startup sequence.
  11. The M2000C has a nice option for selecting empty external fuel tanks on the mission editor. It's useful for simulating on air starting ''realistic'' BFM training setups, where the engaged aircrafts are positioned in close distance with the assumption that they have already consumed the external fuel flying to the training range and have the restriction to keep the tanks onboard as in real life (for cost reasons), so the pilots have to deal with that extra drag. Have heard that this can be done for other aircrafts by editing the respective lua files, but it would be cool to have that option already in game for more aircrafts, like for the 16 and the 18.
  12. The only one who can answer all this questions is Panthir who flew the CG's. Rapid gun wouldn't select the Sidewinders on the CG's, but commanded only a boresight close combat radar mode. The missile needed to be selected through the respective button on the armament control panel. Source = Regarding the Sidewinder prioritization, according to the listed article the local industry developed a system that selected automatically the Sidewinder that provided the best lock signal (accordingly to the position of the F1 and the bandit). https://defencereview.gr/hellenic-air-force-mirage-fleet-three-generations-of-modern-electronics-and-weapons/ Personally, i can dream that Aerges would develop the CG subvariant with the early radar scope (that could find also in the CZ).
  13. Don't let the title mislead you. It has also F-4 stuff
  14. And to add to that, GVad told me that it's ''best turn radius''.
  15. P. 37 and 70 or Aerge's manual is all that you need.
  16. That makes sense, and indeed it's working that way in the game. So it's not a bug but rather a flight manual wip stuff (page. 51 must clarify this, it's little confusing).
  17. After little testing, it seems that the clock hasn't a lighting function and the MISCELLANEOUS INSTRUMENT LIGHTING SWITCH doesn't have an effect on this (as it should per Aerges manual).
  18. nullAccording to the real manual, ''minimum turn time'' is achieved with IAS 300kts, i17degr, max AB and ~4g. In game the best sustained speed is around 400kts. Is there a bug, wip of the FM or is the term ''minimum turn time'' something different than STR (perhaps ITR)? Have talked with several people and got different answers, so perhaps someone from Aerges could clarify this, that's why the post here. And is this achieved with or without combat flaps (not clarified in the manual)? Thx
  19. Thx! Good to have comments from the devs / testers. We have plenty of question. Keep going
  20. 1. The AoA warning horn should be activated at 15degr. when the change rate is above 10degr/sec. In game it's activated always at 17AoA . Also the frequency increases between 15 and 17degr. 2. The incidence test switch should check the warning tape and command the respective horn. WIP i guess. 3. Also the potentiometer at the top of the indicator seems not to be working. EDIT - there are 2 more switches related to the lighting of the AoA instrument . Miscellaneous instrument lighting switch Allows lighting of the AOA indicator tape AOA indicator lighting rheostat AOA indicator colored lights. (s. page 51 of the game manual). I think they sould checked with the SME for correct functionality, not sure if they are working as they should null See also this video at 5:36
  21. T-2E, T-37, F-5A my personal wishes. T-6 is really cool to
