  1. According to what the Natops says, the offset is actually from local, not Zulu! Actually on the Hornet it's the local time that serves as reference, not the other way around. Hence why, logically at least, it should be -4 hours in this case.
  2. I can confirm that, there are indeed regular issues with TACAN in DCS, and with all modules, not one in particular. It's been like this for over a year. It's about time they fix it...
  3. I'd be really glad if this mod could be enabled and disabled via the special options menu. I'd like to be able to jump back and forth between the Swedish and English cockpit.
  4. Hey, how can I replace the in-cockpit afterburner sound of the Viggen with the one of the Hornet? I've tried some stuff but it doesn't work. I've run out of ideas... Any help would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. The file is LNS_VIG_Sound_INT_Engine_HighRPM.wav located inside DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\AJS37\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Engines
  5. I agree 100% with the OP.
  6. Thank you for trying to help but it's a matter of ED fixing their stuff not me having to match your settings for the mirrors to start working.
  7. I have deleted both fxo and metashaders2, I haven't touched my graphics settings for a while and it's not working. Mirrors are not reflecting. It's working fine in other aircrafts, only the Hornet is posing a problem.
  8. Hey please correct me if I'm wrong but I think CAG stands for Carrier Air Group and not Commander Air Group.
  9. The original missile performance was boosted compared to the real ones. They had to fix it.
  10. A good example of this is the VF-31 "Tomcatters"
  11. Totally agree.
  12. Thanks for the feedback guys! I guess it makes sense now.
  13. I get what you're saying. Charlie times are given as "whole minutes", they don't have seconds in them. But as we all know, clocks drift over time. What if your airplane's clock is 55 seconds late/early? That would mean you would be starting your approach nearly a minute late/early...
  14. Very small issue here. NATOPS p.147 says that zulu time is configured as an offset in plus or minus hours from local time. Problem is right now in the sim it's not displayed accordingly, the plus and minus are inverted. Zulu time is - 4 hours from local Caucasus time and NOT + 4 hours like it is displayed ingame. Here is a very short video showing exactly what I'm talking about. Link here.
  15. Yes but why can't we change seconds? If we can't, at least they should return to zero when changing minutes. This would allow for a proper time hack.
  16. Hi guys, I've tried setting up the clock on the IFEI and it led to mixed results. Basically we can only change hours and minutes but not seconds which poses a problem as I have somebody doing the Marshall in my squadron and he is sometimes giving us time hacks. Here is what the manual says at page 22: Two presses of the button allow you to set the day and time. Use the QTY button to cycle between editing of Hour (H), Minute (M), time offset (D), and Year (Y). Upon selection of each, use the up and down arrows on the IFEI to adjust the value. I have also looked if we can change time via the UFC but it appears as not possible.
  17. The camera mic is probably already over gained by the sound of the aircraft so I doubt it's representing things very accurately from a pilot's perspective. The pilot might be feeling and hearing a little more than the video suggests. However nobody can say for certain unless he has experienced it himself. So it's kinda hard to judge.
  18. There is handy way to see how many G's you are pulling in real time by enabling the cockpit status bar. Hit LCTRL+Y to bring it up. Just make sure you have the option "cockpit status bar" checked in the "Misc" tab in the options menu. Hit LCTRL+Y twice to make it disappear.
  19. I'm sure it's on their scope. I'd be very glad to see an Asian map as well. ED recently talked about a second free map coming in the future and I hope it's gonna be this.
  20. I agree and since we already have the BDU-33 it would make sense to add the LGTR as well. Also it would be cool to see the BDU-50 line added like we have on the A-10C.
  21. Very true. There will always be some people here complaining about the way the aircraft is simulated when all they lack in fact is the skill.
  22. The F-16 is clearly not going to be released tomorrow... and that's perfectly normal. They can't churn out new complex modules every month.
  23. It looks great overall but to me it lacks the throttle travel distance we get in the warthog.
